Potato Hotdog
Stephanie W.

CrunCheese is so much fun and so delicious! If you've never tried Korean corn dogs before, this is the place to do it. The outside is perfectly crispy, and the inside is gooey and cheese with a great cheese pull. The potato hot dog is a must-try--the crunchy potato chunks on the outside take it to the next level. The staff is friendly and efficient. Everything comes out hot and fresh, and the vibe is fun and casual. Great spot for a snack or a quick bite! Just be aware that there is no seating, it is more of a grab and go situation.

Tasty food! Got the potatomozz (vegetarian - no meat) option with the flaming Cheeto dust and ketchup. Feedback: tasted great. They dump the dust on top instead of rolling it. I would prefer it was fully coated. I made the mistake of ordering ketchup on the side - get it on top. Thai tea was good and worth the price. Staff were nice. Store is very simple. Very simple. Handwritten signs and all. Would visit again.

I am so sorry to do this! I'm just missing something! I had a little time to kill and I had always wanted to try this place, but the line was always very long. I am not sure why! So I walked in and no one was there. There were 3 girls waiting and no employees. Anyhow, shortly after, a young man appeared to take my order. I'm not aware of the Korean hot dog scene other than it looks so cool! I ordered the mozzarella/hotdog/potato. It took a few minutes and then the employee reemerged from the back and asked what sauces I wanted. I chose, ketchup, mustard and garlic parm. I waited a couple of minutes and took a bite. I was stunned at how there was zero taste! The sauces didn't even do anything! I was super disappointed and took another bite of the top which was mozzarella and the bottom was the hot dog. The quality of the hot dog wasn't good and I ended up trashing it, right then and there outside. I'm sure I'm missing something but this isn't somewhere I would try again. The place looked clean though, despite about 3/4 employees being in the back hanging out.

The restaurant itself has no place to sit. You just walk in order and then take your stuff to go. It has seen better days. It looks very grubby and beaten up. people that work there are nice enough, but there were only two when I went in and the crowd was kind of hard for them to keep up with. The food itself is just a hot dog deep fried and batter or cheese deep Bread And Butter with various toppings not really worth it.

What a charming and enjoyable spot for a quick snack! The food is very affordable and delicious. For those steering away from hotdogs, there are vegetarian options available, I personally loved the Potato Mozzarella stick. While it's obviously not the healthiest dining option, Cruncheese satisfies that craving for something indulgently fatty and savory. No inside seating available but there are a couple covered tables outside. You order at the counter and pickup your food when your number is called.

Broken monitors, more awful paneling and wires just hanging.

Seems to be falling apart. Food and drinks are consistent which is a plus. For how busy it is, I would think they would invest in the actual building. It has been a big downfall from opening day.

We were greeted upon entry and the cashier was very helpful assisting us by sharing the most popular dogs and her personal recommendations! CrunCheese is a small storefront restaurant with limited seating! I ordered the Mozzarella Hotdog with Potato! I added sugar, ketchup, honey mustard and some other sauces that were recommended! I liked that mozzarella cheese side much better than the hotdog but overall I had a great experience and I would definitely return!

Amazing corn dog with options to delish it in top. The service is nice and they explain the menu to you well. a good variety of sauces and flavor. a few seats outside to eat. the place can get packed. price is decent

So glad this spot opened up in Waterford because I always get a craving for cheese dogs. I've only tried the mozz and rice cake options and they're always delicious. I love dipping them in garlic Parmesan sauce on the side and getting Cheetos powder dusted on top. It is on the pricier side considering the ingredients used but it hits the spot when I'm in the area, and the staff is friendly.

First time stopping in last night and I was very happy with my mozzarella and cheddar dog. The cheese was nice and melted, the dough/batter was delicious and chewy with a great outer crunchiness. I definitely prefer this spot over the other option on Sandlake. I preferred the dough and expanded options here. This place offers more than just hot dogs and cheese. They recently added ham and cheese. I also saw a squid ink option! Only 4 stars because I really wish I could have has somewhere to sit inside and eat. Luckily it wasn't too hot and I was able to eat on a bench outside.

The potato mozza was amazing! Super crunchy. I added the garlic parmesan sauce and it was very tasty. The service was quick. Im only giving 4 stars because I think the place is currently being remodeled and they didn't have any tables or chairs to sit on. Overall, very good!

I got thr mozzarella and hotdogs and it had some sugar in the outside. And there give a sauce of you want it.

The food was different for me I never had someone like this before. This was my first time here. Me and my son was done shopping and want something to eat and we saw this. We thought it was pretty good.

I heard about this place a while ago and haven't had the chance to visit it but last Sunday I was able to go in for a quick treat. I got the all mozzarella Korean corndog, added sugar and topped it with ketchup, mustard and honey mustard. It was so good! I already want to go back. I'm just so glad there's someplace like this where I can get Korean corndogs just how I like them.

Bad service. Difficult to eat. A bit burnt. I would advise skipping this place. Potatoes make them difficult to enjoy.

We love Portillo's. We have been here for a few Yelp event as well as just on our own. My wife and…read moreher parents are from Chicago, the home of Portillo's, so when they visit us, we have to go here! We do not normally come to this location but they are all pretty similar. This location is on 535 very close to SeaWorld, and also in a very touristy area. They have opened a few locations around Central Florida. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive thru. I think their food is best eaten there so its hot and fresh. Inside their decor is a mix of old timey cars and car hops. It reminds me of a restaurant you would find in the 60s. Its fun, the staff are fun, there is music and they also sell beer. I don't think I have ever really seen a fast food restaurant serving beer. Im sure they exist but I cant think of one. This is a fun environment, the staff calls your order out and then when its ready they use very fun slogans to tell you its time, such as "Order 165 it's time to shine" and "Order 173 come and meet me". This is perfect for families not looking to spend a ton of money and also get a hot dinner or lunch. There were a lot of families in here eating dinner when we went. It is very touristy at this location, the shopping center it is in, also has a White Castle so just be prepared. There were plenty of parking spots though. Portillo's menu is very simple, they have hot dogs, burgers/chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls and Italian beef. However, they are most known for their Chicago style hot dogs. Their Italian beef is very good, they dip the sandwich in a hot au jus sauce. A Chicago dog has mustard, green relish, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a meal on top of the hot dog. My wife usually orders the Chicago dog with no onions or relish. I usually go for the Italian beef or one of their salads or bowls. I usually get something different each time. This visit, I actually went with the Italian Sausage and Beef combo served on a hoagie bun. This was a great combo and even my wife mentioned how the sausage was really good and something she would probably get next time. Service is always really great. Everyone is always nice and friendly. Someone is always cleaning the tables, everyone says hello, they are just really great with their service. Drinks can be refilled, you just need to go to the counter if they do not have their own self service machine. I would definitely recommend this chain. The food is great, service fantastic and a fun vibe inside. ACES!

But we came here for a Yelp event and it is just as fantastic as other locations! The restaurant itself, has indoor and outdoor seating, along with a drive thru. The inside is a mixture of cars and tires meet tourists meet your old-fashioned car hops. It is a very fun environment. Music is on, everyone is friendly, and they are very funny calling out your numbers. Such as "Order 252 it's time to meet you" or "Order 365 it's time to shine". It's a fun place and perfect for families not looking to spend a ton of money. The food is pretty much hot dogs and burgers/chicken sandwiches, but they are known for their hot dogs, plain and simple. They also offer other options such as chicken, fish, burgers, salads and bowls and Italian beef. The Italian beef is fantastic, it gets dipped in a hot au jus sauce, but you can also ask for no dip as well. Their bowls are not like a rice bowl, it is their beef or sausage minus the bread. This is what my husband usually orders, and he loves it. I usually go for the Italian beef or the classic Chicago dog. A Chicago dog has mustard, the brightest green relish you have ever seen, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a big dog! This can be customized any way you want it, remove something add something, it is how you want it. This visit I did order the Chicago dog with no relish or onions. It's how I prefer it. My husband ordered something new, he tried the Italian Sausage and Beef combo which was served on a hoagie bun. The sausage was actually really so good! I think I found a new favorite item, I will be getting the sausage next time. The service is really great too, everyone is always friendly. They will give you refills; they call out your number really fun and it's just a great place. They read your order back when you order which I also really like. It is quick service, fast food whatever you want to call it, but they do make it an experience. I would definitely recommend this chain. This is new to Orlando, probably within the last couple years, but it brings a touch of the north down here! I love it! It is loud so kids can be loud. It is not super expensive so its a good meal for the family. There are a lot of items so there should be something for everyone. The only difference is the Portillo's in Chicago also have a huge pasta section which I miss. Their pasta was good! I would love to see it here.

Before my Mom and I went, we checked the closing hours. According to our online search, the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. We weren't far away and confirmed via GPS that we would get there by 9:03pm. As we were arriving, I noticed a worker had started removing the outdoor sidewalk sign back inside the restaurant. I asked the worker if they were closing and was told yes. The owner or manager, I would assume he was, stated we could come in. We drove around the building to a dark parking lot. Once we parked, the owner/manager, who was taking out the trash, questioned where I parked. I had parked behind, probably, his car which was closest to where we had to walk around to the front to enter the restaurant. I told him I quickly parked so we can get in and order. Once we entered the restaurant, we tried ordering. The owner/manager was very inpatient once he realized we were ordering food and not ice cream as he said he thought we wanted. I ordered a Chilli Cheese Dog (no bun). Mom got a Regular Hotdog (with condiments) and Plain Tater Tots. As we waited for our food, at least five people came in for ice cream. Our food was prepared in a reasonable time. We left approximately 9:23pm. Mom was satisfied with her food. My Chilli Cheese Dog was short on the Chilli. There was not a lot of Chilli on the hotdog. I don't plan on returning to this establishment.

Since fries came with it, I wasn't arguing, as they use those crinkle cut fries and they serve them crispy, hot, and tasty! The Italian Beef was incredible, as it usually is! I was in Chicago a few weeks ago and got an Italian Beef from Gold Coast Hot Dogs and it was just ok, I forgot how amazing Portillo's were until getting this one - It Was Great!
