I wasn't ABOUT to let that happen. I grabbed my keys & darted to cookies to for you, with a 1 block loop, I was even able to snag a spot directly in front of the store. I went in, explained that I'm a terrible mother or maybe I have a terrible kid. Either way, I need to deliver birthday cookies/cupcakes/memories & be back at work in 87min. Without visible judgment passed & with a nod of understanding, I was presented 2 ready made options at $40ea. I went with the gold print 7 cookie + candy bouquet - (vs the multicolored print) to match the gold foil 3 & 0 balloons (the balloons were apparently NOT an approved item & did not pass the embarrassment test) that I stopped for en route & tied to the basket. It also had parking around the building AND a drive through window (for those familiar with the bakery choices or just wanting a beverage). Not sure which side of the counter the breakdown occurred but it is true that she didn't smile or seem to want to be there and was a bit curt when asked to warm our egg pastry. The manager stepped in immediately to make sure our pastry was warmed in an oven for a minute. (They, THANKFULLY don't use microwaves which was fine by me.) It was perfect.
