Soooo....I'm going to start by saying I think this place is newly opened so I won't be harsh with my review but I'm going to be honest. Me and my girls visited this location on a Friday night around 10:50pm-12:30am. We made reservations online and we're late but they were able to hold our reservations since there was hardly anyone there. I would say there was a total of about 35 people there including the staff the night we went. Parking is free as the location is located in a strip mall. The lounge itself is beautiful! Instagram friendly if you're into that type of thing. The Dj was good, she did a few like dances and tried to hype the crowd up. Food: my friend ordered shrimp and fries. The food was decent. I'm not sure how much it was but the shrimp were big. Drinks: cute but No alcohol at all. Literally tasted like juice. I forgot which drinks we had but the drinks had candy in it. Very fruity. The drinks were $13. We also ordered shots of Don which were $13 a shot as well. Hookah: we had a hookah that cost between $30-$40. I'm guessing it was the cheaper one since they have other options that cost more. They allow you to mix three flavors which was great. However, ours was really weak. We didn't even finish it. Maybe the higher options were stronger. Now on to the service. Let me be very clear...The 2 stars is only because the location is new and hadn't had time to figure things out yet. If it wasn't for that, I would give it a 1 start based on service alone. Our server was nice and attentive the whole night but the issue came towards. Once we were ready to leave, we asked for our checks. My friend and I asked her to split the hookah between the two of us since we were the only two smoking hookah. She said ok. When it was time to pay, she said she was going to cash out our food and drink ordered then the hookah. We didn't think anything of it so we said ok. Cashing out with the food and drinks, we were not told that they add an automatic 15% gratuity and it did not show on the screen when she showed us our total so I added an extra 20% tip. Same for my friend and her tab. THEN, she goes to split the hookah between the two of us on separate tab, which also added another 15% gratuity each tab!!! No ma'am. She tried it! She tried to get four (4) 15% gratuity tips and 2 additional tips since we were unaware the first time we added additional gratuity. We asked her why we were being charged more gratuity when we already paid and paid extra? She said gratuity is added on every bill, even if it's 1 item. I asked if that was the case, why didn't she just add the hookah on our drink and food bill then? She said it had to be rung up separately. My friend asked to speak to the manager and after some professional back and forth, the manager agreed to remove the 2 gratuities that would have been charged on the split hookah tab. Good customer service by the manager for removing the additional gratuity. Be mindful of your tab...15% gratuity is automatic and make sure if you have to split anything, split it on 1 tab. I'm not sure if the menu mentioned that gratuity was automatically added but the serves sure didn't. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind gratuity being added but at least be ethical and make the party aware. And definitely don't split tabs to get more. read more

Discovered this place on a random Saturday night with my girlfriends. We had no idea they had a lounge like this in Alpharetta, but we didn't have high expectations for this place. However we got sat at small couch kind of in the middle of dance floor. It was low key, definitely had that lounge club feel. Our server came over promptly and took care of us. We got a hookah and some drinks and shots. The vibe definitely turned all the way up as it got later and more packed. I guess Saturday nights they play a lot of hip hop, rnb and throwbacks which was amazing and such a vibe! We almost forgot we were in Alpharetta bc we've only been at places like this in Atlanta or near the city. It was actually pretty cool they had a place where you could turn up and not drive so far. My only negative is that when you go to pay my server did not notify me that auto gratuity was included and when I asked she also said no so I felt like it was a bit slick because being in the industry myself I left a tip on top of the 18%. I just feel like it's a courtesy to mention it at the very least because I don't mind tipping and taking care of industry people. I still give it 4 stars because we had a great time and the music was on point as well as our server was attentive. But just wanted to let people know that they do auto grat just in case they don't tell you. read more

Presently surprised at the decor and ambiance. Nice location, great DJ and waitstaff. Mahogany was attentive and informative! She came often and made sure we were good. Now the food was not that good. Hubby had the lobster make and cheese, never had Mac and cheese with onions in it! I am from the south and cornbread fed, and have had a lot of seafood Mac and cheese, lobster Mac and just plain old Mac and none have had onions in it! There were more onions it it than lobster! So major fail there. The lamb chops with the "special" sauce was just a mixture of A1 and a little sweetness. I asked for medium on the lamb chops and they came out well done. Portion sizes for the price was a little off. I am super understanding of high food cost; but the portion sizes were small. All in all, had a wonderful time. It was a good chill crowd. read more

My husband and I have visited a few times, once with a birthday party. There were multiple issues with the ticket at the birthday party and our cocktails were halfway filled, but it happens. We decided to check them out solo. While the ambiance is very nice and I really appreciate the cleanliness (), the customer service is lacking. Our visit prior to the most recent visit, we both asked for a tequila and tonic. The server brought soda water and tequila. Big difference. After advising the server, she promised it was tonic and advised that she couldn't make another cocktail because we're wasting tequila. She was adamant that the bartender poured tonic. They weren't willing to remake or remove drinks from the ticket. We drink T&T regularly and the soda water mix up is more common than you'd think. Tequila and soda water is so disgusting. We went ahead and got two rounds of margaritas because we also ordered food and hookah. The grilled shrimp was so good. Last Thursday, we gave it another shot. This time I asked to taste the tonic, prior to ordering. Again... soda water. Good thing I asked to taste. We order TS margaritas, shrimp, wings fried hard and hookah. The shrimp was spoiled. Initially, I tasted it. Then smelled both skewers. Gross! Why would they serve that? We finished the wings. Left the shrimp obviously uneatened. We had Reservations at 12 and still waiting at 12:28 for a section and the people refuse to leave. Standing still while waiting this so unprofessional. The owner should make sure the establishment is running properly. They gave a temporary spot for 20 people which is not ok they close at 2 am. The conversation back and forth from the server to the manager about getting a non-bottle paying party out of our section at 12:41. At 1 am we still were waiting in our section for a party of 20+ and they did not remove the people in our section. The restroom is dirty with no tissue paper. The management seems not to have things under control with this cru establishment. Some of our party left because we did not have seating which is not ok. After all, they came for my brother's birthday. At approximately 1:07 they moved two people that were in a section to get us a few seats but that was not what was promised. They continued to tell us the other people in our section were getting sent out and that never happened. The other people in our section did not leave till 1:45 and they allowed them to order two bottles after we arrived. I frequent Cru in morrow often and we have never had this issue. I booked a surprise birthday party our best friend's 50th on February 18th 2023. Our server was Big LaLa. She is the hostess with the mostest! Big Lala's decorum, approachability and fun spirit worked to create an overall amazing experience for the planners, guests and our birthday girl! Everything about the experience was awesome from again our host of the evening to the food, the vibe, music, everything worked together to create a wonderful birthday event. I would have no problem booking another event here, but would again recommend Big Lala as our host again. We had the horrible experience of actually dropping the birthday cake on it's face before we got to the venue...it didn't fall out of the box but it feel face down in the box, which cause a bit of contention with our group, because who wants to show a birthday cake that was almost destroyed in the box. When we got to Cru and showed it to our host, she took it from us & they reassured us they would pretty it up & there would be no notice of any flaws to trust them! When they bought the cake out singing happy birthday our faces broke into pure pleasant shock, we were nervous about how much would they be able to salvage it and really DIDN'T want to have to tell the birthday girl about our clumsy mishap because they beautified it and added decorations and you saw no flaws at all! So on a scale from 1-5, I'd give a 5+ if I could! Money was well spent on this event at this venue and we had no regrets when the bill came. Money well spent & our birthday girl had a blast of a night! We live North of the city in the Johns Creek/Suwanee area, I love that we don't need to go into the city to visit a great handout that's grown & sexy in suburbia! I will be back here! read more

I recently got invited to CRU Alpharetta by friends for some drinks. Ambiance was great. Full house without it being rowdy. Nice atmosphere, chill yet fun. Music was great with DJs who knew their art. I believe one had Gerenimo on his laptop. Our hostess Nicole was not only friendly n sweet, she was super helpful with our orders. Came here last night (10/15/22) with my homegirl. We got there a little after nine with no reservation but was able to get a table which was nice! The music was so loud I could not hear myself talk nor the waitress! She took our drink and hookah order and we also asked for water. The drinks came out, the hookah came out, no water. Waitress kept walking past us so fast we couldn't catch her to put our food order in. She finally stopped because my friend had finished her drink so she took another drink order and I had to catch her before she ran off again to put the food order in. I ordered the Rasta Pasta with chicken. When I say the food literally took an hour to come out smh! I ordered drink #2 while we waited for our food but I didn't drink it seeing as I had no food on my stomach. The waitress came to the table and said the kitchen was backed up and apologized. About 20 min after that a guy came to the table and stated again he's sorry for how long the food is taking. Asked for water again (because we never got it the first time) the food finally came out and was not hot and the portion was pretty small. Asked for water a third time and finally got our water! When it came time to pay we tried to split the bill down the middle. That didn't work and the hookah was put on my tab. They don't give receipts breaking down what you paid for, it's just on a small tablet the waitresses carry around. I asked to see a break down and she scrolled through it so fast so I took it from her and looked at it myself. I just paid my "half" of the tab and high tailed it out of there! Overall the service sucked! Even though the fold was not hot, it was good. The ambiance was nice, the space size itself was nice. There was a ring light and spot to take pictures which was nice. My wife and I came here looking for some late night food and nice scenery. The place was well decorated, but we were seated behind a pillar that obstructed our view of the room. Our server came pretty quickly, and we immediately ordered food. She offered us alcohol and hookah, but we declined and from that point, so did her level of service. We probably saw her once for every three or four times we saw the server for the table next to us. Our food took 30 to 45 minutes to come out and all we ordered was grilled shrimp w/ fries and a quesadilla. We thought to leave our section & go to the bar but it got crowded so we stayed near our table. The thing that left me disappointed was that after closing our ticket for the food, the server came back out and offered us shots, so we agreed to Don Julio Reposado. When I got the bill, those two shots of tequila were more than our food and drinks from the previous ticket ($40). I was appalled. I paid the ticket and vowed not to come back. read more

The food here was pretty good, I recommend their shrimp soft tacos. But the reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of our waitress. Her name on the receipt was "Latifah H." She was a very poor waitress, she rarely visited our table but she loved visiting other people in the same section as us. I ordered a side of fries initially and about 40 minutes later she came back to my table to "check in" on us (after visiting everyone else) and we informed her that we never got the fries and to take it off our tab. She then says "I'll go get them for you" and returns less than 10 minutes with fries I asked for 40 minutes ago. Anyways, this place has a great ambiance and good vibe. I'll go to their other locations in hopes to get better service. Wouldn't recommend Latifah. read more

By the time the COLD food came out, the manager 'AJ' came to our table and kicked us out (there's a 2hour limit in this place, apparently). She didn't even offer to extend our reservation time or comp the food (we had to bring it up first). Add insult to injury- the waitress completely took more than her fair tip. I was charged (without my knowledge) a $10 tip on a $13 drink. Paid over 100% tip + poor service. Never again. You have been warned. read more

This is my second my time and thus should be called a scammers paradise. They are slick with the bill. Beware! But my problem is that I asked to sit and watch the band. The waitress told me she could seat me as long as I tipped her. I said cool. I ordered a hookah and drink. Took almost 30 minutes to get my hookah and another 15 for my drink. The manager sees me seating and comes over and ask me if I had hookah. I say yes, he sends the lady over to me. Then in about 20 minutes the same Manger comes over and tells me I need to move because I didn't have reservations. Then he says you can only sit in the section for 2 hours. Mind you I just got my hookah and drink. After going back forth with the manager. I ask him to reduce my bill because the waitress sat me there that's not my fault. He refuses. I leave my whole drink and unsmoked hookah there and pay. The waitress quickly puts the digital pad to the sign page without me being able to review the bill because a 15% gratuity is already added. I didn't know this. Nevertheless I gave her additional tip but it was far less than I was going to. The food is trash and tasteless, management is terrible and can't read the room for ish! I'm in the industry and I will never come back to this spot. The band was cool tho. I will see them somewhere else though. Bottom line don't waste your time here it's trash! read more

The vibe was great . I love the decor . We came for date night but when we went to pay I was very disappointed. They advertise 2 for 1 drinks and even the DJ said 2 for 1 "curtails" as they call their drinks . So we ordered 2 drinks TWICE for the special . I normally drink vodka straight but wanted to try the drinks on special . Well we go to pay at they charged for all 4 drinks . When we asked she said it's only the hemp drink or whatever . Ummm he said all curtail drinks . And on the add is said 2 for 1 drinks . Not 2 for 1 hemp drink . AND on top of that there was an automatic 18% tip but you don't see that when signing the little machine just shows tip amount so we ended up being fooled into double tipping.
