After having a…read morebad experience with a self-employed sitter, spotty availability with another self-employed sitter, and then deciding not to travel altogether, Leila and her amazing team at Precious Pet Care showed me that their high standard of care meant I could be at ease and take vacations again! I was referred to Precious Pet Care by a dog trainer I know. I was interested in their Golden Overnight Care services, a 24-hour service where the sitter is with my babies all day! In particular, my dogs are extremely attached as they are used to coming to work with me and generally being around me 24/7, so this type of sitter service was a must! I was given a link to request a meet & greet and schedule the days a sitter was needed in my home and met with my assigned sitter, Kate, prior to my requested days. Ever the worrier about my dogs, cats, birds, and guinea pigs that I would be apart from, Kate handled my bombarding her with information in good stride. During my vacation, I was pleased to see that she sent numerous photos, videos, and updates daily! Kate made me feel completely at ease while I was away and was such a great communicator. Upon my return, all my critters were happy, and the house was neat and clean! Kate made sure to take the trash out and clean up after herself as well. Truly a 5-star experience! Our dog, Dave, was fed, given plenty of water, walked, and even took a nice nap while watching a movie with Leila. As if that wasn't enough, the day after we received multiple updates on how Dave's evening was followed by MANY photos! Our baby boy was given his own personal photoshoot and it truly captured how the day looked from his eyes. Upon checking into the "hotel" we requested to see the area he would be staying in. His "hotel" room wasn't the greatest digs but it was clean and dry. As we were filling out the paper work for him to stay the lady must have asked us 4 times if they were responsible for feeding him while there. Seriously! I started to wonder then if he was going to even get fed for the next two days. I dismissed the horrible feeling and chalked it up to separation anxiety since I had never left my dog with a stranger or a "hotel" before. The part that disgusts me the most is when we returned to pick him up neither the same woman who checked us in nor the teenage boy who brought him out said anything about our dog being injured. As we were walking him to the car we noticed he was limping on his back leg. We immediately went back inside and asked why he was limping. The lady never really said much but the boy said our dog got his foot caught in the door as he was bringing him out and he was only bleeding a little. I looked at this punk kid and the lady and said "A little! Why on earth would you even think about letting us walk out the door and not even mention the fact that my dog just got injured in your facility only a matter of mere minutes ago!!" NEVER AGAIN! Would we even dream of taking our dog here!!!

I appreciate how…read moreKatie will try to match their potty schedule as much as possible since one of my dogs poops up to 4 times a day and easily gets diarrhea and the other one cannot hold her bladder for long. I let Katie know how anxious they can get and she has been so empathetic and caring with them. I was and am continually impressed with how she always places the dogs comfort and safety first. We haven't boarded them yet (not needed for a while), but we are working on getting them comfortable with her so that it won't be a big shock and trauma to them when I leave them for the first time. They've met with her twice and already love her. Just one of the dogs has extreme anxiety and separation anxiety so when I'm not around, they easily freak out which is why I scheduled for more frequent day care days before the boarding date in order to make the boarding less stressful. Her patience with my anxious babies makes me feel very comfortable in leaving them with her. She treats my dogs how I would treat them (actually probably even better and with more patience). And I'm so impressed that I do plan to do biweekly or monthly (depending on what my budget allows) daycare with her so that the dogs will be able to have fun away from home but in a controlled and monitored environment with someone that prioritizes their comfort and safety. Her prices are super reasonable too! Side note, the dogs are trained in another language and she makes the extra effort to learn the commands in the other language for them. I didn't expect this, and am very appreciative of the effort.

A Paw-sitively Perfect Place for Pooches…read more My lil Santiago absolutely loves going to Bark Park! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. The staff, especially Alyx, Lexi, Katie, and Eric, are incredibly kind and clearly passionate about caring for dogs. On our first visit, they gave us a tour of the facility and patiently answered all our questions. It was clear that they genuinely care about the well-being of every dog. Santiago was so excited during our recent visit that he actually pawed at the door inside the office leading to the big dog gym to join the other dogs playing! LOL The staff is always so accommodating, especially when I call last minute to see if there's room in the big dog gym daycare. It's clear that they go above and beyond to make sure every dog has a fun and safe experience. Knowing that Santiago is happy and well-cared for while we're away is such a relief. We're so grateful for the amazing team at Bark Park! They've truly made a difference in Santiago's life (and ours!). They do doggy daycare from 7am to 6pm and 7am-12pm on Sundays I believe. They offer traditional boarding (private kennels with runs), as well as social boarding (9 pups in big dog gym max I think, and a little dog social boarding). Rarely can I find a social daycare that is also a social boarding spot, and my dog is a dog's dog so we NEEDED it! During a majority of the day, the big dogs club have free roam between the gym house and the outdoor play area. Several hours of the day, the outdoor play area is used for individual play times for private kenneled dogs. The dogs are kenneled only when they are eating and sleeping for the night. Each dog has a chart with their dietary needs, and a bin for their belongings. All in all, this place is awesome and I highly recommend it.

She fed each pet twice a day and walked the dog twice a day (when requested - our trip schedule was complicated and we also had other help from a friend). She even played with the cats and bought them a toy. I definitely recommend. Her fees are very reasonable for the caring services she provides. Sadly I found Barbara late in our 4 year San Diego move, just before we moved away to Denver. Very sad that it took me so long to find her. She's wonderful, caring and goes out of her way for you and your pets. I very much recommend her if you need pet services while you're out of the house or out of town.

The staff at Furry Friends were so kind and our German Shepherd immediately went over to the staff during drop off and gave kisses. We were sent pictures during their stay and they were so happy. The location is conveniently located in the heart of Santee. The pricing is reasonable and we will definitely be bringing our pups back. It's so nice to find a place they enjoy going to and you can tell the staff really care.
