You would think if we're paying $50,000, they would make sure everything is installed properly! We tried calling and calling them. When our panels were installed, they didn't give us what we wanted. We wanted to be off grid, and to connect our old panels to our new panels. This didn't work out. We were also promised a $15,000 rebate check by Jonathan and Nate. Jonathan told us it would take two weeks. Nate said it would take 4. Now, we're a couple months in and we haven't seen anything. I leave voicemails for the office and I get no reply. I really wish I would've gone with a bigger company with more experience. I feel somethings off here.

ATX SOLAR came around our neighborhood door-to-door where the houses were just being built with only a handful finished. If you've ever been in that situation, there are LOT of people that knock on your door daily. Blake's team was very different, and the only ones that got our business. They were laid back, not pushy and just had facts about solar along with some nice small talk. Should also note they were the only people that had a business card. We set the appointment and a few days later Blake himself came to give me more info on solar and the whole unique process he takes. You could tell that Blake goes about business differently compared to the rest of the solar industry where scams are frequent. We started noticing our lights flickering and dimming, which progressively got worse over time. We finally hired Mr. Electric to investigate, and the technician was stunned by what he found: Longhorn Solar failed to ground the system properly. The electrician explicitly told us he was amazed our house hadn't burned down and that someone didn't get hurt! Because the setup posed such a massive, immediate safety hazard, the city was called and shut off our power on the spot. We had to pay for emergency repairs and wait through a stressful city re-inspection before the power could legally be turned back on. As someone who works from home, being left completely without power was an enormous hardship and disrupted my livelihood. Longhorn Solar's sloppy, incompetent work put my family's home, safety, and jobs on the line. Do not trust this company with your electrical system.
