We also contacted Lowe's about buying a new water heater from them that their contractor would install. Long story short: we couldn't believe how expensive the quotes were - especially when it came to bringing everything up to code (our old water heater was installed before the latest codes, and when we purchased our home in 2016 our home inspector never mentioned any code issues with it .) One company that came out to give us a quote added an extra $1200 just to bring everything up to code. A project we expected to cost about $1500-$2000 quickly grew to nearly double that amount. In frustration I posted the job on Home Advisor one evening... and in about one minute I got a call from Rick at R&R. What impressed me right away was: he completely understood what we needed, he agreed with me that some companies were overcharging, and he said he'd come over and look at the job the next day. And he did just that. His quote was thorough and fair, and we were happy to hire him. He returned with a second plumber and they worked quickly and efficiently to deliver and install a new water heater and make sure it was up to code. It was truly a pleasure to work with R&R - we plan to use them for all our plumbing needs in the future. They came by almost 2 weeks ago, and I asked politely no fewer than 5 times to get my quote. I was told that they would get it to me ASAP, but their definition of soon is very different than mine. Especially after they already went through the trouble of writing it up! All they had to do was spend 20 seconds writing an email. I guess that's just a bridge too far for some people. I took it as an indication of dysfunction over there after my second request, but I wanted to see what they came in at so I could compare it to the other quotes I got. This whole experience with them has been pretty ridiculous.

On Nov. 4, I woke up to a furnace heating, but not blowing. I began calling for repair. I called…read moreLM, Lightning Mechanical - Paul Castillo, a supposedly local business to Elephant Butte. On Nov. 5, he chose to send me a substitute. I told this guy that he needed to FIRST check out my electronic master board - it had caused any and all problems in the past. Nearly 3 hours later, after who knows what, Dylan informed me that I needed a new board. When he left that day, I asked when he'd be back, he said about 11 am next day. Next day the 6th, around 11:30 am, I called to Dylan cell phone. He said "later that day." By just after 1 pm, I had a call from Paul. He proceeded, in presence of a witness who was with me, to berate me and told me not to call incessantly. Huh? I explained my ONE call, so Paul tells me that when they have the board, HE will tell me! The entire call was hateful and rude. On the 7th, upon leaving at 4 pm, I paid the LM invoice (excessively high price, close to cost of a new furnace) and furnace was running. I got up on the 8th, and I could tell the house was not warm enough. I checked and the furnace was no longer kicking on. I again turned off all power to the furnace, finding out I could barely get the furnace door off (because Dylan had put it on so cock-eyed I couldn't remove it easily.) I called LM to Paul and got recording... "we don't work on Friday." After no callback, I called another known HVAC company. I also stopped payment at the bank on the check to LM. The 2nd owner was at my house at noon on Nov. 9th, a Saturday. My furnace was fixed by him, and runs fine now. On Monday Nov 11, next was a text-only from Paul at LM, "check didn't clear!" asked me to pay. I was still mad, and not in a negotiating mood. ON TOP of screwing me around with children working on my furnace, Paul berating me on the phone, treating me like anything but a customer, he texted me a threat of what HE now needed to do. If Mr. Castillo does not want to do residential jobs, or really cares less about customers, sends them useless unqualified workers in his place, he should just reject taking those jobs in the first place. Leave the work to competent HVAC businesses who know customer service.

Because of this experience, we continued to use Williams for all of our plumbing needs. The last couple of experiences with in the last year have been less than positive (apparently they weren't able to keep plumbers for a period of time, so there was difficulty getting them out for plumbing jobs, long response times, multiple visits to complete one job), but because of our initial experiences, we continued to use Williams Mechanical. I contacted the office this week to request someone to come out due to an urgent (not emergency) plumbing issue on a part that Williams Mechanical had previously replaced. The office said they "couldn't find the paperwork" for the job (despite me having the invoice in my hand). I e-mailed Annette (owner) and she replied saying that she would get back to me by the end of the day - she didn't, nor did the office. I waited two days, then called and e-mailed the office and Annette again - no response. I again waited another day and e-mailed Annette again - no response. We are now 5 days out from when we initially contacted Williams and have an emergency plumbing issue. If you had asked me three years ago, I would have given Williams Mechanical 5 stars without a doubt. Tens of thousands of dollars of business and three years later, my opinion has completely changed. Unfortunately, All Out Plumbing and Mechanical missed the mark to do major work for sewer and pipe replacements. When we hired them to replace the new pipes, they didn't remove all the old pipes from the crawl spaces until we pointed out to them to have the old pipes removed. They also demanded payment right after they replaced the pipes without inspecting if the pipes were working properly. All Out Plumbing and Mechanical is a very bad company in NOT KEEPING a one-year warranty to inspect all plumbing works and redo camera video as their promise. When we contacted them a few months later regarding the one-year warranty, they kept pushing our appointment out... beyond the one year. They canceled our one-year warranty inspection appointment at the last minute. Many times to reschedule appointments a few more weeks out again and again... We were beyond frustrated by their many excuses on why they could not come nor follow through with their one-year warranty contract agreement. Likewise, they were unhappy when we tried to follow up on setting up an appointment. We tried contacting the owner but he ignored our letters... and, out of the blue, without communication and confirmation of any appointment, All Out Plumbing dispatched a technician to open an outline on our property and did a very brief camera of our line, without our knowledge (less than 15 minutes from set up to clean up before verbal exchange with tenant who did not expect to see All Out Plumbing with some device down the pipelines). Until today, All Out Plumbing has not release the follow-up video of our pipelines nor provided any recommendations. Anyhow, it is sad that we have to post this review since we do not want to say bad things about a company, but we feel obligated to share with the public that you should be careful if you hire All Out Plumbing as they are NOT professional and NOT trustworthy.
