I'm in the early stages of building a semi-custom duplex. The house is a bit of a splurge so I decided it was in my best interests to hire a designer. This was likely going to be my last home & I did not want to make any costly errors in design & function. I did a Google search of interior designers in my zip code & found Constance Rabias-Sbarboro at CRS Designs, Inc in Downers Grove. I loved the design ideas presented on her website. She also has postings on Houzz, an application I pour over nearly everyday. Connie provided a complimentary in house discussion of my vision for the new home & within minutes, I knew I had chosen the right designer. Her design & product suggestions were bang on & I will be incorporating them as my new home progresses towards completion. It helped that Connie & I had similar tastes but she is quite the listener & capable of working within any style choice & price point. Her inside knowledge of products, web sites & resources is absolutely priceless. She is willing to travel to tile, granite & lighting stores & this was monumental in helping me choose the right product at the right cost. She visited the construction site & help me avoid construction issues &/or products that were unduly costly or unnecessary...a great money saver to say the least! Conversely, she had ideas that would enhance the new home cosmetically & functionally. She is kind, thoughtful, insightful & has a great art eye for color and composition. She offered me suggestions to further customize my home after I move in & there is no question I will be calling upon her services again. Despite her obvious talents, she is grounded & earthy. While I hired Connie for design & decorating concerns, she is capable of large scale projects & offers installation services. You can read her many positive reviews for those on Yelp. read more
