In the back is another kitchen set up with yet another gorgeous island, oven range, built in drawers, and surprise refrigerators. I loved the wine cellar cabinet and fridge space in the island! I have to say, it's pretty genius to utilize their space after hours for local events. Not only is it the perfect place for gathering , cooking, or baking, but a wonderful opportunity for Liam Brex to introduce their work. Red Flags: Nick Biango seems to be "very hyper," as if he's consumed 50 shots of espresso. Make of that what you will. Nick Biango WILL, most likely, ask you to pay by check, but then put the goods he's buying on his personal credit card, making it IMPOSSIBLE for you to make a claim that he purchased goods at Home Depot, or what-have-you. In my case, I wrote Nick Biango a check, and he purchased very expensive custom made doors for my residence, but when fired, the first thing he said was, "You're never going to get your doors. I paid for them with my credit card." He also "bragged" about abusing animals. Dogs, specifically. I had to have police backup when I told him he was being fired, out of fear for my life. Attached is a letter my lawyer sent Nick Biango. DON'T DO IT. He will low-ball you and then say there are "unforeseen circumstances" that will drive the prices higher. ---- This firm has been retained by Michael R. regarding the construction renovation project at the R. residence at XXXX Western Avenue, Park Ridge, Illinois (the "Project"). On or about December 1, 2007, you and Mr. R. executed a contract pursuant to which you were to perform certain renovations. While the initial contract price was $16,900.00, Mr. Roman paid you a total amount of $36,769.00 for work performed. Following your termination from the "Project" and Mr. R's subsequent hiring of a new contractor, it was determined that much of the work performed by you was done in an unacceptable manner. Your defective work included, but is not limited to: improper installation of plumbing, floors, and other appliances; the use of cheap and sub-standard materials; failure to complete the work in a timely fashion as specified by the contract; and failure to obtain the proper building permits required by law. In fact, following your termination, the work performed by you failed a building inspection. Due to the egregious nature of your defective work, Mr. R was forced to spend an additional $28,888.00 to remedy the numerous errors made by you on the "Project." In addition, Mr. R paid you $9,385.00 for the purchase and installation of eleven (11) doors. To date, Mr. Roman has not received nine (9) of those doors, and upon information and belief, they remain in your possession. While Mr. Roman has received two (2) doors from Home Depot, they have not been installed as agreed to as part of the $9,385.00 payment. Finally, due to your extended delay in completing the "Project," contrary to the terms of the contract, Mr. R's mother was forced to stay in a rehabilitation facility for an additional two weeks. As I'm sure you're aware, at the time Mr. R's mother was ready to return home, there were no stairs installed in the residence. The additional two week stay resulting from your failure to timely complete the work caused Mr. R to incur $7,500.00 in unnecessary costs. As a result of the above-listed unlawful actions, Mr. R. hereby demands that your company pay him the total amount of $45,773.00. That total reflects the amount required to correct your defective work, the amount paid for the doors that were never received or installed, and the amount incurred as a result of your delay. ---- Nick Biango never paid out for his faulty "work" which was deemed a failure from our local building inspection department. Our family ended up eating the cost, due to the exorbitant legal fees it would take to bring our case to trial. When I pointed this out to Nick Biango, he just laughed and said, "The homeowner never wins."
