Dropped my suv off due to shaking while driving and the check engine light was on along with the…read moreservice charging system warning on as well... plus the fact that it almost stalled out and made a loud noise. I wanted to get these issues fixed by Shaws garage because I inky heard how he great they are! Well after my car was there over night I pick it up later that afternoon and was told he reset the codes and there is nothing wrong and they took it for a ride and there was no shaking. Well not even 24 hrs later the lights are back on and it's still shaking... if they did not want to properly fix my suv I wish they would of said that right off the bat and I would not of even pulled into the lot.

My first mechanic, who thought there might be a problem with my computer (based on things I told…read morethem) referred me to R & S Autobody because they know more about electronics. "The service is excellent, but they take their time." is what they told me. So, after a bit of thought I had my car towed to R & S and the problem was identified the same day and repaired. While I was on the road a few days later a different issue came up (causing the exact same symptom). Again, I had my car towed to R & S and the problem was identified and repaired the same day and I was back on the road again. Electronics are quirky and others may not be so lucky, but R & S seems to know what they are doing. I was shown fair treatment, the parts that were replaced, reasonable price, and a professional attitude. Thanks R & S Autobody!

My number one stop for Volvo work…read more I have owned 6 Volvos. The owner John use to work at Seingold Volvo, 766 Broadway, Pawtucket, RI 02861, as a mechanic. When he opened his own shop I was on board. I have been dealing with John over 10 years, and have very few complaints. Pros: Honest, straightforward, knowledgeable, and reliable. When you take your car for an estimate John will let you know all your options. He is not the type of mechanic to add a bunch of unneeded work, and extras. Cons: It's just John. You may need to wait a few days to get an appointment, and because of his busy schedule, you may need to purchase parts for the work. I like buying my own parts. It allows me to see what they actually cost, and helps me to know there are no hidden fees. This may be a turn off to some customers. I would recommend getting into a habit of learning what labor, and parts cost. You'll save lots of money in the long run. John works on most makes, and models, but if you are a Volvo owner in the Attleboro area, making friend with John is a must.
