Carr's Garage Inc. is my #1 CHOICE for smog inspection and Safety & Emissions Certification! I actually made an appointment at a different auto shop, but a disgruntled looking man basically shooed me away by telling me (in a patronizing way) that he didn't have time to remove the tints on our windows and add the front license plate on our vehicle to get the RI sticker of approval (to pass the Safety & Emissions check). Guess it was too much work for him and was hoping for a quickie. This person could've asked me questions over the phone instead of making an appointment only to send me away without taking the time to explain options and reschedule another appointment. There was no professionalism or nicety. Annoyed and feeling rotten (hey, I'm only human--a sensitive one), I decided to search for another Smog Check location on Yelp (while still on the lot of the previous auto shop). Interestingly, Carr's was close by (less than a mile away) and had more highly rated reviews, so I decided to take a chance and ask if they had any openings that day. I was relieved to hear the voice of a nice sounding man who said I could come in (it was already around 12:30 pm). When I arrived, there were many employees busy at work. AND they had kind (not angry) looking faces! When Jason, the owner, came out to greet me he looked like an ANGEL compared to the last guy! Jason was very polite and easy to talk to. He took his time to explain what needed to be done, giving me options and time to make phone calls and make a final decision. Although Carr's was already working on several cars, they managed to fit me into their busy schedule and get my car approved for the Safety & Emissions Certificate. We got the sticker the following day. No damage to the defogging strips on our back window after the tints were removed, and they even cleaned our car. Pricing is fair and reasonable. Quality service. This company is reliable and trustworthy. Everyone there was polite and professional. I'm so HAPPY and lucky I found Carr's!! Life is good again, LOL read more

Thank you, Jason, Tracie, Manny and crew! You're all always looking out for my best interest. I left my car for a couple of days and worried about nothing. It came back ready for winter and pristine. They are all knowledge and do what needs to get done. Every question had an answer and I felt I understood more every time I spoke with them. I'll keep returning as I trust Carr's Garage implicitly. I will also be sending my folks to them. Thank you, guys!! read more

Great place awesome people! Very friendly and helpful, I called about an issue with my SUV and they had me come down right away to take a look at it. Before this I called the shop I " use to go to" on Mendon Road in Cumberland, RI and he never called me back. (3 calls within two weeks). I highly recommend Carr's on Broad Street. They answer their phones and are quick to help! read more

Have an old, beloved used car? This is your place to keep it looking good. Our 2008 Toyota Avalon is a regular here to fix up the dings that come with age. Just recently my DH sheared off the passenger side mirror leaving a tangled mess of cables. They fixed it right up with a great paint match. Even better was the cleaning and detail work they did which made it look (and smell) like a new car. I'm less motivated to sell my loyal wheels now ! read more

My Crosstour was due for an oil change, and Carr's Garage came highly recommended and, as you can see, also had great reviews online. I figured I'd give them a try. Well... Carr's Garage didn't disappoint! They are not only knowledgeable, but super honest and dependable too! (AWESOME) Jason was great as was the mechanic who changed the oil and went through my car did an all point inspection. (Peace of mind) ...I will be going back in December when my inspection sticker is due and at the same time, to have a general inside out detail to carry me through the winter. :) I will keep you posted! - I'm just so happy to have found a great place, where they are known for integrity as well as good work, and close to home. Feeling mighty blessed! read more

These guys are amazing. Prices are super fair, they are responsive and they were available to accommodate my last minute butt for a lot more than what I expected they'd be able to complete in 24 hours. They really went above and beyond. I'm new to the area and am over the moon that I've found a great mechanic. I will be trusting these guys with all of my future needs and if you're reading you should do the same! read more

If you need car repairs, Carr's Garage is the place to go. My car was in an accident a while ago. I just picked my car up from them & it looks brand new! What a beautiful job they did. Nicole who works there is the most, wonderful, knowledgeable person I've ever dealt with. She is always keeping in touch so you know the status of your car. Nicole definitely knows her stuff & will go out of her way to help. Thank you Nicole & Carr's Garage for the fabulous job. I'll never go anywhere else for car repairs again. Susan read more

I live in Providence but after reading the reviews and speaking to the owner on the phone, I was compelled to come to Cumberland and get my car detailed for the first time. My dog had an accident on the fabric seats of my mustang but they finished same day (I picked it up on Saturday morning though), and it looked like new!! They are super thorough, I got the full detail and reconditioning and I love how it looks!! read more

Was recommended this place by a friend. They kept me up to date as my car was being repaired from an accident. It actually ended up being fixed faster than initially thought which was really nice. They did a fantastic job. read more

Brought my car here for brakes at 9am , never heard back until 5:10 pm that they could not get the job done due to unavailability of parts..I don't think it takes all day to get parts to arrive or issues to come about.... Poor communication is all I can say, needless picked up our car and made another contact to have work done. Oh ,, and also made a good drive to travel to them for a right price did I mention , very dissatisfied! read more

Very happy with the service and completed work! Jason and Tracey are truly amazing! I was moving to the south and a week before my husbands car was backed into. We were not taking his car with us and was in mid selling it. Jason came to the rescue he looked at the car that night and gave me a cost to fix it. A very very fair cost much less than I expected! I brought my car in the next morning and a day later it was ready. I really appreciate the two of them for everything they did both professionally and personally, as I was so stressed with my move. Highly recommend!! read more

It's obvious when you purchase reviews. They don't sound natural in their language and have glairing typos and errors. Read each 5 star review slowly and carefully and ask, did a human write that or someone with cut and paste? read more

Excellent, wonderful Garage with unbeatable combination of superb auto service, communication, and customer service! Jason was so patient and calm with my multiple questions including cost, which was extremely fair and reasonable. Everyone I met there was really helpful and responsive. The did a great job detailing our car. Quote was quick and reasonable. Great customer service. They even dropped the car off in our driveway when we had a commitment that prevented us from getting there the day it was done (because we were in Cumberland - not sure they do that for people who live further away). Highly recommend and we will use them again! read more

My car looks GREAT!! Jason did a terrific job in detailing my 2011 Lexus ES. I hadn't had it done in a couple of years and it came back looking like new. He even helped out with fixing a few dents in my plastic bumper! And all at a very fair price. I highly recommend Jason and Carr's Garage. read more

My truck is very special to me and I don't just let anyone work on it. Jason, Manny & crew at Carr's Garage are magicians. Communication, craft & attention to detail is the best I've ever seen. Carr's Garage - The before and after, it's almost too pretty to drive - Body Shops Near Me - Cumberland, Rhode Island

I had been looking for a shop to get a full exterior and interior detail, and because of so many high-star reviews I decided to come here. When I arrived to pick up the car, the interior looked and smelled great! The tires looked brand new. Unfortunately I was less than wowed with the rest of the exterior. I had some oxidation on one of my panels, and some scuff/dirt marks on which I figured would've been removed. The headlights really didn't look any different either. Overall, the exterior looked like it just got a basic wash. For the amount I paid, I feel like it could've looked better. I also found it odd that the receipt I received (via paper and email) had no information on it other than just the total paid. I'd probably go elsewhere with a shop that exceeds my expectations other than this one which just kind of met them. read more

I've never had to deal with insurance before, so I was nervous how to go about dealing with repairs/insurance agents when a contracting company dropped a cabinet on my car. I called Carr's and they were able to take my car promptly and dealt with the (very very frustrating agent of Sompo insurance) so well. They arranged a rental for me and updated me periodically about the repairs. I had my car back to me in better condition than I could've imagined and they even detailed and washed it for me. All the people here are honest and reliable and really do care about their customers, especially Nicole and also the owner Jason. I would 100% recommended Carr's Garage for anyone who needs honest, fast, quality auto body work read more

I was in from out of town and looking for a place to drop my car off to be fully detailed while I didn't need the car for a few days. I wish I had before pictures. I have a Subaru Outback that I've owned for 7 years. I have a 9 year old and 7 year old. So yes, my kids grew up using that back seat and it had NEVER been professionally detailed. There was a stain from a strawberry smoothie that was at least 4 years old. They got it all out. The inside of the car looks amazing. Thank you so much!! read more

After being neglected at one auto body shop,I took it upon myself to go on Yelp and find another hop with better customer service. I took a chance and chose Carr's Garage. I called and spoke with Nicole. I asked if she had openings for the week after my accident, as soon as that Monday, and she said yes, happily. I also wanted to verify that if I got in touch with my rep, that he would be able to come out ASAP for an immediate appointment and she again, happily replied YES! That alone made my day. So I had my car towed from the other place, that day, and had it sent to Carr's. When I got there I met Nicole in person and she was just as lonely as she was on the phone. She cared. And it showed. I explained my MVA and she took it upon herself to cover my tow fee, call the other persons insurance and set me up in a rental right there on the spot! That blew my mind. I've never received such great customer service from an auto body shop before and I've had my fair share of accidents. She had her connections and was able to get my in a rental shortly after. She put my needs before the money and it made a difference and I'm forever grateful. So if you're ever in need of and auto body shop that will treat you like a person rather than a paycheck, I'd call Nicole and her team for the ultimate experience! read more

Highly recommended, they do quality work and great people to deal with thank you Jason & Nicole.

My baby (my car, not an actual baby) was hit as I was turning in the parking lot at work. A low speed crash but it did a lot of damage since it was an F250 Super Duty pickup that hit me. I brought the car to Carr's Garage and was very worried. I love my car and I have never had to deal with insurance before. I detail my car regularly, interior and exterior, so I know every scratch and blemish. I told them to take their time and not to rush. They even worked with me so I wouldn't have to pay my deductible. I picked up my car last night and it looked like a brand new car off the lot!! I was so impressed!! They replaced the left rear quarter panel and you can't even find the seam if you try. They blended the paint and did a beautiful job. They cleaned my headlights and they look factory new! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the car door to get in and it smelled so fresh. They detailed the interior too! If I ever need body work of any kind, I will definitely be using Carr's Garage!! read more

For my 100th review (cue the balloons & streamers!) I'm happy to give Carr's 5 stars! I'd give them 6 stars if I could. On the day I was due to drop the car off (and pick up my rental, arranged by them) I discovered my battery was dead....I had left the dome light on. Doh! No problem....with almost no notice they delivered my rental, jumped my car and brought it in. The finished product is just beautiful, the whole car looks great! My oxidized headlights had been repaired (and that was not part of the damaged area) and the entire inside detailed. The contrast between how clean the car is now and what it looked like when I brought it in is actually embarrassing. Oh yeah, and they dealt w/the insurance company. I've basically done nothing. Well, except crack up my car. Thanks Jason! read more

I took my car here after someone hit the back of my car in a parking lot. It was my first time dealing with an insurance situation so I wasn't entirely sure how to handle everything. Jason at Carr's Garage talked me through the entire process and let me know how things would proceed. He dealt with the insurance company for me and helped me to set up a rental. The car was repaired ahead of schedule and looks even better than when it was brought in. They even detailed the interior and buffed my cloudy headlights. I would recommend this garage to anyone needing autobody work done. If I were to need any other work done (hopefully not), I'll be going to them once again. read more

Took my car here to get it fixed after a horrible winter wonderland accident. Jason was really great with giving me the details and my options and when I got my car back it looked like new. I emailed Jason @ Carr's Garage and he was responsive and helpful immediately. I gave him a laundry list of things I wanted fixed in my car, both mechanical and "body work" type jobs (cosmetic). He was so amazing and personable, both in email and in person. The work was done fast (they worked VERY hard to get our car back to us for a trip to NH we were taking) and Jason made it happen. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I found them through Yelp by the positive reviews. This will be my mechanic from now on, because I trust Jason. Additionally, he was VERY detailed about what needed to be done, why and how. I never felt confused or taken advantage of. read more

I could not sing enough praises not loud enough praises for Carr's!! This place is amazing. I got hit and run in a grocery parking lot in October. Luckily there was an eye witness so I could file a report as my passenger door had been hit on the hinge and unable to open. I tried unsuccessfully for 2 months to get a call back from the guys insurance company and was at my wits end. I was referred to this place and all my worries cast away... Jason helped me personally. He offered to get in contact with the insurance company for me to alleviate my hassle. He got me a rental car and worked on my car for a week. He replaced the door, front tire (due to wearing from being hit), hood (cut me a deal as this was scratched up since I'd bought it). On top of everything, he changed my oil, detailed the car and buffed it AND touched up any paint scratches on the body. My car looks BRAND NEW. All at a reasonable price and he could not have been nicer nor made the process any easier for me. I'll NEVER go anywhere else again for car repairs!!! I'm a lifer! read more

Can't give a good enough review. The service Jason gave was great. Made the process of getting my car fixed simple. They dealt with the insurance company, and had a rental all set up for me.
