This piano has…read morebeen in the family for 100 years, but is a solid, unique instrument in a beautifully carved case. Andrew took the time to tune it carefully to standard, fix a key, and examine it thoroughly as it will soon have a new home. I was fascinated to watch the process as he dismantled the keyboard to reach the defective hammer and fix it all the while explaining what he was doing and why. I highly recommend this professional and knowledgeable young man; great service and reasonable price. Dr. Eunice Merideth

When I lived in Ames, I had a piano in my basement and I loved it. There is something about playing…read morea piano, (even if your not that good) that makes songs jump out of me in ways that they could never do with a guitar! To put it bluntly besides a French horn, a basson, a bari sax, and a cello it's pretty much my favorite instrument in the world! So when we got the space, the first thing in my head was, when am I going to get a piano again! So I have been looking on craigslist about every day and found a guy who had a few used ones for sale, at the time I didn't know it was Andrew from Tuna Piano. He services pianos of all kinds, tuning them, moving them, and fixing them up for folks! After I emailed the craiglist add he called me and invited me to come over and check out what he had! He had multiple great options for me to choose from! I wanted something that would be good for recording, could hold a tune, was cheap enough for me, and would look good in our house! I found something perfect! He gave me a great deal on it, if I would help him move it in! So he got it loaded up into his big Tuna Piano van and brought it over. 5 hours after the initial e-mail I had a new toy in the house, and I was already bugging my neighbors by trying to play this song.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKy_gTrdXaU Remember I said, I'm not that good so it's a bit of a challenge with lots of flubs along the way! But it's fun! Andrew ruled and was honest with me on my choices, gave me a great price and had a super positive attitude and made moving the piano an enjoyable fun experience! Now I will just call him back in a few weeks to tune it up!

After telling Andy what I was looking for, he suggested I stop by and check out a couple of options he had. We ended up buying a SWEET Wurlitzer for a great price. After the purchase I set up a delivery time for the next day, where after a initial call to let us know they were on their way, they arrived on time and moved the piano into our living room in a safe and efficient manner. I then arranged for Andy to come back at a later date and tune the piano. On the scheduled date he arrived, not only did he tune the piano he cleaned it too! Have you ever seen a dirty piano? It's nasty! Anyway, Tuna Piano Service met all my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone who needed a piano or needed their existing one tuned or cleaned. I read the negative reviews and Andy tries his hardest to make sure you're satisfied with the purchase.

Shawn talks a great game but will lie to you with no issues whatsoever. last year I hired him to move a piano. he showed up and the piano's pedals were missing. he volunteered to take it to his son that worked on pianos and for a few hundred bucks he would clean it and repair it. well after a 1000 bucks in repairs he lets me know the pin board was broke and it was not worth repairing. I said great , give me a refund. Once again he again volunteered a replacement piano as he had a few baby grands to choose from. Here it is a year later and still no piano. he talks a good game , but always has a sad story to tell. he has now forced me to take him to small claims court. By the way he wants everything in cash as well. I guess I will call the IRS as well. bottom line , do not think you will be the exception, he will screw you over. Run from this guy. trust me.
