I had him come out for an estimate on a really burnt gold colored over 50 year old Lazy Boy chair that was my great grandmothers. He made sure we knew pricing without sugarcoating it. He gave us a quote for a slipcover. But we decided to schedule a full upholstery with redoing of the foam work. He even offered if I wanted to work on it myself as I already tried that he could give me tips or work on it in his shop. I will give that job over to the professional!! I am currently on his wait list to get the chair reupholstered and can't wait to see the results.

This is for the rare coin side of the business, was not able to find it separately. I have spent…read moreliterally thousands of dollars in this store since late last year, completing a set of Morgan dollars (a total of 98 coins.) Today I attempted to sell back two coins I bought at Christopher's, with the intention of buying upgrades to replace them, and was offered only a fourth of what I paid originally for them. Regardless of how many times I've been in, I have repeatedly been treated by two of the four staff people as a stranger, and today's experience at the hands of one of them was the last straw. I am taking my business elsewhere. One star for previous better service and a star for the inventory--there are better coins available online. I am very pleased to report that the manager at Christopher's reached out to me today (two days after this review) and made amends, both verbal and financial, for my bad experience. I am therefore revising my rating to 4 stars and will continue to be a Christopher's customer after all. Thank you Brian Dresback!

As I was speaking with a customer service representative, a customer stopped and told me to go to Furniture Pros in Urbandale. Man!! He was right! I found their shop easily enough, and the guy there was very friendly. He looked at my cabinets and said he had the materials in stock and could fix them both for $60!!! Everywhere else I looked was closer to $200! I had another request if they could fix them in a couple of days. He said he would try but it might be difficult because they were shorted staff that week. The next day, I got a call by 12 pm saying the cabinets were ready! When I picked them up, they looked great! I couldn't even tell them apart from the original ones. Amazing service, excellent quality, and a very reasonable price. It doesn't get any better than that!! I definitely would recommend!!

What a disorganized mess of a company to do business with. I had many items damaged from a moving…read morecompany that didn't use moving blankets or take care of my things. I contacted them for an estimate of repairs to provide my lawyer. I had many many back and forth calls with the ladies in the office trying to arrange the estimate. I'm talking to one woman making progress one day and a few days later a new lady calls me and has no knowledge of what was discussed before. One of the first things they did was contact the moving company who damaged my furniture to tell them about the situation. I already tried to work with them and they proved imcompetent at following through with resolving the matter. Odd that I was not asked before they did this. Then they didn't realize that an at-home inspection would be needed considering the size and quantity of items. So after several weeks wasted of back and forth calls they finally put me in the schedule correctly to then wait another month for the scheduled estimate date. The estimate was completed. Then the office sent me a bill. I had not expected to be billed because they never communicated to me that there would be a charge. I understand they want to be billed for their time doing the estimate and that's fine. But they need to communicate things like this to their customers. I asked about this and there was no apology or acknowledgement that they screwed up. Their office staff is clearly incompetent and extremely difficult to work with at all stages of the process. I'll take my business elsewhere.
