But coming back from the campus to my hotel in Keyser is where the problem started. Lyft and Uber don't operate reliably in that area, and I found myself stranded with no way to get back. While I was stranded at the campus, I searched online and found the contact information for Yellow Cab. Kimberly, the driver, came to pick me up and dropped me off safely at my hotel. She was reliable, kind, and truly a lifesaver in that moment. Her warmth and professionalism turned a stressful situation into one of deep gratitude. Later, while at my hotel, I scheduled a Lyft driver to pick me up in the morning to take me to the Johnstown airport. They never showed up at the scheduled time, and once again, I was stranded--this time at the hotel in Keyser. I immediately called the same Yellow Cab number, and this time, Blake--Kimberly's husband--came to the rescue and gave me a ride to the airport. Blake was kind and very professional as well. We talked for an hour and a half during the ride, and his friendly conversation made the trip feel smooth, quick, and comforting. It was more than just transportation--it was a moment of genuine human connection. Kimberly and Blake are a loving couple who run their cab service with heart. We found all the staff at Eagle's Nest to be very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We had about 15 rigs, and rented one cabin. Paul placed us in sites very near each other, and close to the pavilion which perfectly met our needs for the event. The pavilion near the creek, with electricity, lighting, a nearby restroom, and running water, was a great set-up for our group meetings and meals. Paul even set up a fire ring near the pavilion for our evening campfire and music. The camp facilities were very clean and level, with full services at each site. The restaurant on site (Fireside Inn) has an extensive menu. Try the cauliflower soup ... it is FABULOUS. Eagles Nest is conveniently located near Cumberland, MD - a great local tourism spot with museums, shops, restaurants, and a scenic railroad ride. The campground is still a work in progress and we look forward to going back to see how it is coming along. Paul has a great vision for further improvements and is working hard toward that end. With a mix of seasonal and transient residents, most in self-contained units, there is little need for public facilities. Some in our group might have preferred a public bathhouse (in future development plan), but the lack of a public bathhouse would not prevent our return. Happy trails ...

We had a great experience at Eagle's Nest September 2019, our 39th annual 'Rolling Thunder' rally. The camping, accommodations, food and entertainment were some of the best we have enjoyed. The scammer sounds middle easterner & hard to understand. The actual owner has a Pa. accent and communicates clearly. The real owner, a very nice gentleman actually named Gary, is aware of the fake website but so far has been unable to have the scam site removed. DO NOT 'BUY' ANYTHING OFF THE FAKE SCAM WEBSITE OR YOU WLL LOSE YOUR MONEY! Deal with Gary directly via his Facebook page and remember, $2500 late model golf carts should raise red flags so trust your gut!!

They are super friendly and knowledgable about the area, so don't be shy to ask them questions about recommended places to see it activities to do. The inn is equipped with a ton of amenities; such as free wine and beer, endless DVDs of current and newly released movies, and bikes if you choose to go exploring. Plus much more. They even do a bonfire on the weekend nights with smores!! The location is set back in a secluded area away from the main resort and areas of deep creek, so it's a nice refuge but still close enough to everything. Every aspect of our stay was surely above my expectations. I would definitely recommend for couples or anyone looking for a nice comfortable place to stay in deep creek.

I have a camper that we hardly use back home so leaving it were we vacation often makes perfect sense. I was very excited about this because it would save us alot of worry and money trying to find a place to stay every time we come up. I called the RV park and asked if i could get info on a seasonal spot, the employee told me he didnt know much about it and that "one of the girls would call me back". I left a name and number and i didnt here anything for days.... i called back again during the week and nothing, no answer so i left a voicemail for someone to give me a call back. days later nothing.... very upsetting to say the least. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere.
