I have been here multiple times and used to really like it! The space is very nice, the workers are nice, and talented! However, I started getting chrome on my nails (extra $20, but I knew that going into it), but both times I have gotten chrome here, the top coat will rub/ peel off leaving weird imperfections after a couple days. Then at checkout, I was charged an extra $10 on top of the extra 20 for chrome, for the shape (which I understand) and them being "long", even tho I had them file them down shorter. I just thought it was a little weird I wasn't told about either of these before. If you don't plan on getting chrome, and money is not an issue for you, then this place is good! read more

I had a terrible initial experience with deep French nails and shaping, lol. The girl who did my nails appeared to be exhausted. When I sat at her table, I mentioned that I wanted a deep French, but when she got to the French part, she did the regular style instead. I pointed it out, and then she created the thickest, ugliest French nails I've ever seen (real tears ). I was charged an extra $15 for that and still didn't get the shape right either :( It's disappointing because when I walked in, I had the perfect deep French and just wanted a refresh since I had lost some gems. read more

I got my nails done at Crown Nail Lounge on February 22, 2023. I was able to make a last minute appointment for a acrylic fill with gel & pedicure and was so glad they could fit me in. Initial thoughts walking into the salon: It was very clean and the employees were very professional. They have a wide selection of polish to choose from as well! I started with my pedicure. Ally did a great job on my pedicure. She wasn't afraid to get all the hangnails and I've never had anyone take that much notice! I would definitely go back to her. The total cost for that was $38 + tip. Tammy did my acrylic fill with gel and wasn't super personable but I would give her the benefit of the doubt as everyone has a bad day once in awhile. The shape looked great, but the polish wasn't applied evenly to the whole nail and was only left under the UV light for 20-30 each coat. (Typically I leave them for a minute just to be sure they don't chip) From my knowledge, the fill with no chip was $43. I also had her replace a nail so I'm assuming it was a couple dollars more. But the cost ended up being $97 not including tip. I should've asked for an itemized receipt because I'm not sure what else what I was charged for. ($38+45 does not equal $97) What was I charged an extra $20 for?? Unfortunately, my manicure didn't even last 3 days. I had a chip on my thumb that initially turned into the second photo attached. It's not even a week later and I have a nail lifting to the point it's about to fall off. I'm very disappointed with the outcome of my nails especially after the cost. read more

I went because of so many good reviews on Yelp only to discover that if you post a review and show them you get 10% off the next service. What a scam! The employee was new and had no idea what she was doing! She completely screwed up the manicure and it chipped and started falling off after 3 days. When I went back the employee had been fired and they would not give me a new manicure. The best they could do was fix it. They new Nail tech said it couldn't be fixed because it was done wrong. Trying to find a new nail salon to replace my current pedi place who has drastically gone down hill. Crown Nails had great reviews. We were able to get an appt on the same day, however showed up early, and they didn't even get our feet in the water for 30 minutes after our appt, and then the water was cold! For $38 I got a very basic pedi, no work on my calluses, they rushed through it and the work looks chunky. Is that a thing? Also, my toes look like someone couldn't color between the lines. I came in for a new set. I asked for coffin shape with black tips. I got the shape but the way the tips were painted, they look almond. My nails are all different lengths, shapes and sizes. I didn't have a great experience recently. I made an appointment with Tom because I like how he does my nails. Well when I came in for my appointment, Tom was busy doing a pedicure so they said I can wait 20 minutes or I can have someone else do my nails. I was like okay no big deal, someone else can do my nails. I had Tammy. She had headphones in and was listening to music or something the whole time. Whatever, fine. My entire gel manicure was done in 20 minutes. It was not relaxing. I did not "feel like a queen" as their motto says. At one point, I asked Tammy if she could file one of my nails down shorter and she just looked at me without saying anything. My gel polish was applied thick and haphazardly. I love gel nails but immediately despise them if they are thick globs. The polish did not cover the entire nail. She did not push back my cuticles enough so my manicure is already started to come up around the edges. The only time Tammy said anything to me was to tell me my nails were "too short". Overall, a subpar experience. I think I will finally try a new salon after his. read more

First negative review in YEARS... I was excited to try Crown Nails after a friend recommended the salon to me along with her two favorite technicians. Prior to the appointment, I received a text reminder that I had an appointment with Jason. I arrived early to the appointment and was told that Jason was sick, but that someone else would take care of me. I was disappointed, but decided to go ahead since I had already arranged childcare. Someone finally took me 25 minutes after the start of my appointment- frustrating. The technician informed me that the shape I wanted (almond) was a $5 upcharge, which is strange since I have very short nails, but I went ahead and agreed. He was nice enough but my nails ended up looking very thick and resembled gum balls. Nothing was done to my cuticles and there wasn't even a slather of hand lotion. (I later found out from my friend that cuticles aren't included... NOT surprised). I decided to call the next day to give it another chance and request that my nails be fixed. I actually spoke with Jason, who was nice and apologized stating that he was at the other location (not sick) and I made an appointment with him the following day to get my nails fixed. Again, prior to the appointment, I received a text reminder that I had an appointment with Jason. Today, I arrived at the agreed upon time for my appointment... Guess what, he was "sick" again- yeah right! Overall, I was disappointed by their total disregard of appointment slots, the final product (super thick gumball nails), lack of basic manicure procedures, and completely unnecessary upcharges. I had a lovely time at Crown Nail Spa! I stopped by without an appointment for a last-minute gel manicure and could not be happier with the results! Crown Nail Spa is relatively new to the area and I finally took the plunge and stopped by for a manicute. I decided on a gel manicure and even though I did not have an appointment, they were very accommodating and quick to sit me with a technician. Quinn was wonderful and very skilled! She asked me if it was oku to file my nails, what shape I wanted and if the finished result was "up to my standards." It was thoughtful and very appreciated since I had a broken nail to begin with. I chose the colour 73 by DND (which she wrote down on a little card for me as I paid) and the finished job was truly lovely. All of the tools were sealed prior to their use and even the polish was brand new. This is a huge plus in terms of hygiene and safety! I highly recommend giving this place a try. Bring cash as they do NOT take tips via card--tips are cash only (which I did not know!). read more

To start, they take appointments. I was able to get in day of with two other girlfriends. On my way there, the address surprised me. Yes it's in Carmel, but I didn't look to see that it was on the farthest east side almost into Noblesville. Depending where you live this might affect your driving time. Also, come prepared with cash or Venmo (mobile payment app) for tip. The prices felt a bit high. If you want in and out relax and not have anyone bother you this could be a great fit for your next treat yourself day. I felt a lack of personal connection though. No one greeted me or spoke to me besides small orders of how to move my feet when getting a pedi. The interior was clean and had a great first impression walking in. They had nice booklets with all the nail colors and menu options. When we went to the pedicure chairs everything was clean there as well. They even lined the foot soaking tub with a disposable liner as a cleanliness measure. They had plexiglass hanging between each pedicure chair which made it hard to chat if going with friends, but understandable why they have it with Covid. The chairs themselves were the most intense pedi massage chairs I've ever been in! I just did the auto setting and was surprised by where all that chair was moving and jolting me! When we were wrapping up pedis they didn't rush us from our chairs to drying. They kindly encouraged we could stay till the last one in our group finished up. All that to say, it was a good experience. Good flow and communication from entry to picking nail color to the chair to drying station to dropping off the temporary flip flops in a basket by the door. Things were thought of, prepared, and placed ahead of time. But then, there's a slight hang up in flow with cash only tips at the end. It feels confusing, shameful, and a bit tricky. I'd suggest smoothing out the tip/payment process at the end to have greater clarity and no surprises because that's your last impression with the customer. Staff is super friendly! Jason did a awesome job on my nails. Very nice relaxing atmosphere. My favorite nail spot in Hamilton County by far. They give you a one-week guarantee on your nails for chipping etc. They will repair them at no charge during the first week. I went in for a dip manicure. This place looks like it is half finished and the vibe is just off. All of the techs were on their phones and my tech kept stopping in the middle of her work to text. The design I got was cute and I loved it but my nails were thick and the shaping was crooked. Not even a week later my nails started lifting. By week 2 every single nail was lifted and I had to take them off. I didn't even need acetone they all popped off. I've been getting my nails done for over a year and never once have I had this happen. read more

Absolutely would not recommend. Significantly overpriced for the quality of work received. I brought my daughter with me, I got a full set, and she got dip. First, the dip work is as if the technician isn't even trained, I even asked for her to redo a few nails, and received nothing but attitude for $55 nails that were left with rough edges, poor quality dip, and STICKERS for a design! Not even 1 week into my full set and my acrylic set is already falling off! I've been getting my nails done for 20 years, at multiple salons, and have never experienced such poor quality in my life. Would never go back, and at their prices, i wouldn't recommend anyone trying them out either.
