They've done repairs and installed a nice custom body kit on my car! The work done at this place is really second to none. I have had great experience with Gabe at Crown. I had the infamous bumper clip issue with my 2006 GTO and Gabe was able to fix it without requiring me to get a new bumper. Initially I took my car to Kim Auto Body, where they attempted to fix the bumper, but unfortunately their fix failed. I regret not taking my car to crown earlier. Also, Crown's prices are very reasonable. Usually they are the cheapest. They seem to be very good at installing body kits and restoring cars as well from what I have seen while visiting their shop. read more

I came here to get my car fixed after I was hit by a bus... I have a Scion Tc 2006, so it did some damage. My brother referred me to this small family owned business, and I must say that I was pretty satisfied. They were able to order the parts and fix it within 4-5 business days. Mediocre work with a lot of hassle, but the price is right. Took my vehicle in for some work on the front end. I got it back and the work was horrible. I complained and they took it back quickly and redid it all, so they are willing to make it right. When I got it back it was much better, albeit not perfect. I spent a bit of time looking for a bodyshop to fix my wife's corolla. The car pretty much needed half of the right side to be patch and painted because someone cheated on some previous bodywork. After a few years, the paint was peeling and cracking. This time I was to make sure it is done right. The previous bodyshop pretty much lied to my wife about the quality and damage (this happened before we met and got married) Instead of properly preping the car, they just paint over it. the few hundreds she did save ended up costing her way more. I worked with Jon and he was very easy going. He and his dad looked at it and saw the handy work of the previous guy - they too were in disbelief and understand where I was coming from. They suggested what was needed to be done and gave a good price. I have to admit - these are honest people. They will not short change you on what is need to be done. After a few days, I got the car back and it looked great! Jon told me that they had to do way more work than what was originally estimates because the previous "shop" did a very bad job (way more than what they thought). This is a shop where I am sure I'll go back to when (if) I need more work done due to other mishaps. Summary: - price - great! - service - great! - quality of work - great! To make my long story short: my car ran over someone's bumper on the highway and I was afraid of any real damage being done (it wasn't my vehicle). I tried 3 other places nearby before I stopped here. I told Gabe exactly what happened and that I was in a hurry to catch a flight. Gabe and one of his men (I forgot his name :/ ) took my car in and checked it out- thankfully there wasn't any real damage done and they were able to close a flap that had come undone under the car; also a square plastic piece that I couldn't pop back into place, they fixed that as well :) Basically, they saved me a lot of money and the hassle with insurance :) If I lived in Milpitas, I would definitely trust these guys with my car. We took our car to this auto body shop after going through the reviews posted on yelp but unfortunately had a horrible experience here. The quality of work performed was really bad! When we pointed out the repairs that were not fixed (though we were charged for it) the guy became defensive, started arguing and using foul language. First time coming here and was seriously impressed! I desperately needed the side view mirror of my boyfriend's car replaced before we went out of town later this week (I knocked it off when I was reversing out of the garage). I made multiple calls to places all over Milpitas/San Jose, but this place was the only one of two that was willing to give me a quote over the phone, whereas all the other mechanics/body shops wanted me to drive there first for them to look at it. Not only that, most of them estimated that it would take at least a week to get fixed, given the short week for New Year's. Jon (the guy I spoke to on the phone), on the other hand, took down all my information, called back that same day with a quote, and slotted us in for an appointment. Note: our original appointment had to get moved because the part that was ordered came in damaged, but we were notified early and were moved only one day later. When we did come in for the appointment, Jon was chill but also very courteous and professional to us, offering us their wifi and coffee as soon as we entered. Long story short: we only had to drive in once, waited about 30 minutes, and came out with a brand new side mirror! The whole process was VERY quick and easy - they saved us days when compared to other places and also saved us quite a bit too. And oh yeah, our new side mirror looks great of course. I had been visiting the entire Bay area to find a body and paint shop that would provide the quality of service that I was desiring for the restoration of my 1974 Datsun 260Z. After talking to Gabe(owner) and becoming aware that he was intensely familiar with these cars, since he had worked on them since their arrival in the States in 1971, I decided on the spot that this was the place for me. Gabe provided quite a few suggestions that I had never considered. Two weeks later, there was my car. It didn't look any different than when I received it new from the dealer 35 years ago. The lines were perfect and the paint match to factory original was fantastic. The cost was extremely fair. These people are friendly and know what they're doing. I was so impressed, that I brought my wife's 1993 Miata in the next week. Once again. the result was fantastic. P.S. The Datsun won " best of class" at Clovis this spring. read more

This shop is honest. They also give you the best prices. I went to another body shop in the same circle (I won't name any names) prior to coming to Crown Auto Body and the person at the other body shop quoted me $450 higher than what Crown Auto Body did. You can save a lot of money and get quality work if you come to this body shop. They aren't shady like the other body shop I went to. Turn around time is also very good. I got into a fender bender with my Scion Tc and John was very helpful and informative of what needs to be done with my Scion Tc. When he finished my car, he asked if I didn't like the paint I can comeback and he will redo it. I was recommended to Crown by a friend who had his shop demo car painted by them. I ended up taking my car to them for a full paint/bodykit install. They did an excellent job on that car (this was a few years ago). A couple weeks ago I needed a front bumper and sideskirts painted and decided to go back to them. I got excellent results again and both times i've been there they actually finished my stuff before the estimate. The workers were super nice/helpful with unloading and loading parts and easy to get along with. I'll definately be returning to them in the future. read more

Really legit shop when it comes to auto body work! Talked to Jon about the trunk of my lexus which was rusting and was basically murdered with spray paint. Came to the shop so they could fix the off colored spray paint and rusts that were forming. He gave me a really good price that was most definitely beatable than other body shops. Like their prices are really really really unbeatable. Came in two days later to pick it up and I was really worried that the trunk was going to be off due to it being silver. And if you guys didn't know, silver is one of the hardest colors to paint match and oh man, they did a really great job!! I'm still in awe of how great of a job they have done. I am most definitely coming back to get other auto body parts painted especially since summers coming out and all the car junkies are itching to show what they have to offer this summer! read more

My vinyl bumper had gotten scratched and gauged by backing into a wall. I took it to Crown and got a very fair estimate. They dropped me off at home and started to work on the car immediately. I brought my 2015 SS Camaro in to get deep scratches repainted, passenger fender and rocker panel, I was met by Gabe, and he made me feel comfortable and gave me a very good price for the repair. I took my 1967 mustang in for some body work from an accident. It was mainly the fender and some front end damage but nothing major. When I got there the owner told me he has worked on many classic mustangs in the past. I waited 5 days just for a quote from them. Then after calling them 3 times I finally got a call on the 5th day. They told me they could not fix it because they could not find parts for it. What the hell I can go online and order any part for that car right now. It was just a waste of my time. They did not know what they were doing and are very unorganized. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My son and I had been doing a restoration on a 1972 Camaro SS for a number of years. We did all of the engine and transmission work and some of the body work also. However, we got to the point where we needed some expert help with complete body panel replacement, especially the roof skin and the rear panel skin as well as the inner trunk drop and the right rear quarter panel. We were familiar with Gabe's work with classic auto restoration (such as T-birds, Caddys, vintage Mustangs and Camaros). Gabe was straight up with answers to all our questions including cost and turn around time. After the body work and priming were finished we decided to have Gabe's shop do the painting as well. We chose 2010 Camaro Switchblade Silver with the classic 1972 Camaro rally stripes painted in (NOT decals). Gabe's shop was one of the first in town to use water-based paints and the job came out perfectly. The care with which Crown Auto Body treated our project was greatly appreciated.
