How blessed we are to have such an amazing food co-op in Brainerd! I am always greeted when I come in, one knows me by name even if it's been awhile. Lunch is so fresh and so good, great place to eat! Food offerings are often local, local in produce and meat products for what I buy. I LOVE the variety of mushrooms. Laundry supplies are appreciated, music is fun, and so much offered! Teas, chocolate, chips and locally pressed juices. One of my favorite places to be!! Love you guys! read more

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great place to get items if you are gluten free or vegan. Locally sourced meat and produce that is amazing. Great weekly sales for members. The lunch specials are fantastic and taste great, I recommend you check it out. read more

Small but very good little co-op. Smart and attentive staff. I found most of what I needed.

Very cozy, surprisingly well stocked little co-op. It's so great they have a co-op in this area! Definitely the smallest co-op I've ever been in, about the size of a small garage, but the size wasn't a deterrant; it has just about everything you need for basics, plus some! I liked the narrow, tall, well stocked, super organized shelves. They're able to fit a lot of quality product that way, though the larger individual might have trouble accessing the aisles (tough $hit, you need to lose weight!) Prices were fair, and actually in a few glances at the shelf cheaper than co-op's in the Twin Cities. I like how there is nice size variety within their prepacked bulk items so that you don't have to get too much, (or too little) of an item. For example, I picked up a bag of prepacked bulk dried mango for under $3 (not sugar added, nice work there,) and it was about the same amount I'd get in a bag at Mississippi market for about half the price, and equally delicious. Also picked up a kombucha, a homemade banana/oat cookie, and a turkey wrap (I guess the sandwiches and other premade food go fast, and it was the afternoon so I got lucky). basically, if the Co-Op offers it, you should either be using it or ingesting it. I won't give 5-stars because the prices are on the high side of moderate, which means that their products aren't accessible to all which would use them to the greatest of their ability... but I guess you have to pay extra for things to not be adulterated. read more

Who knew Brainerd actually could go organic? pretty good for being smaller than my bedroom. Should probably restock every once in a while...and discover the source of that smell... read more

Crow Wing area is very fortunate to have a store like the Co-Op. One of the things I missed when I left the Twin Cities area was access to the whole food stores, it was wonderful to discover the Co-Op. Addressing the two comments to the side; the smell---did you mention it to the clerk so she could take care of it or just go away and announce it to the world? Things happen in confined areas and I have frequented that store enough to know that what ever you smelled was not the norm for that store. Second comment--if the store is always out of everything--that means it's good, suggestion--call and ask when items are brought in. The Co-Op is a wonderful store and I would hate to see the two comments to the left prevent someone from going there. And---no---I don't work there. read more

Great little grocery store with fresh organic and local produce ! Haven't had to throw anything out because with a little store food gets cycled threw quick so it's always fresh ! And they will take suggestions on new products to stock which pretty cool ! Plus with the friendliest of employees it's always a pleasure to go there !! read more

My wife and I often go to the Crow-Wing Co-Op for organic produce. In the winter their selection is understandably limited, but during the summer they always have a good number of choices. Between the co-op and the health store across town, we are able to get nearly everything that we want. read more
