Dj CJ was the best dj I could have asked for on my wedding day. He was detailed and knew what he was doing. He was so friendly and even came up to me to check up on me and my hubby. He is respectful and very professional while having an upbeat and fun edge. He really keeps the energy level alive. He is very easy going and knows how to mix his music so that it flows between different songs. He also acts as an mc. He was constantly going over things with me. He went over all of my wedding party member's names so that he could pronounce their names correctly during wedding party intros. He also provided amber lighting and was completely honest with me in terms of the light coloring. I am so thankful I ran across dj CJ for my wedding dj needs. We hired Crow Entertainment/DJ Rahn for our May 2021 wedding and they did not disappoint! Crow Entertainment has been a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Our original wedding date changed due to COVID with our venue cancelling on us so we pushed back our wedding date. We ended up finding a venue on our original wedding date and asked if we could switch back and Crow Entertainment was able to accommodate us. Communication has been a breeze with Crow Entertainment and DJ Rahn. They are very responsive and it was great to have a vendor that we did not need to chase after. We had a guest list of mixed ages and genre preferences. DJ Rahn absolutely killed it! He blended multiple genres seamlessly and we are still getting compliments from our guests! On top of that, we had a couple requests for DJ Rahn, one of them being the groom's late grandfather's piano playing during dinner time. We gave the CD to Rahn which had some talking pieces in it and Rahn was able to play the music and exclude the talking. This was very special to the groom's family and we are so happy that Rahn could make that happen! Additionally, we had some issues with our timeline which pushed things back almost an hour. DJ Rahn went above and beyond to help us get back on track which was a HUGE relief! A couple guests even had the pleasure of chatting with Rahn and we are still hearing about how kind and talented he is! With Rahn and Crow Entertainment, we felt like we hired more than just a DJ! We used Crow Entertainment for our June 2009 wedding and they were great. We worked with both Brian and CJ (CJ was at the wedding) and everything went smoothly. They respond super quick to questions and CJ helped on more than one occasion with music selections. The day of was great, there were a few timing issues but nothing that would keep me from suggesting them to friends/family. Back when I worked in catering, Brian Crow was a new DJ on the scene, but a favorite of the catering company I worked for. Despite being new, his skills were top notch. The dance floor was always packed, and he flawlessly moved from one part of the wedding to another. In addition, he was the perfect MC for wedding receptions. As a caterer, this was a godsend. So, when I got married ten years later (having long ago left the catering business), I knew that I would have to look up Brian again. Crow Entertainment did a fabulous job for our wedding. I encouraged him to take requests from our guests and gave him a list of songs my wife and I liked, and he took it from there. Despite most of my dancing-friendly guests not showing up, the dance floor remained as packed as I remembered ten years ago. We contacted Crow Entertainment for my daughter's wedding on May 20th at Running Hare Vineyard. CJ worked with us from the beginning and was always prompt in responding. We had an in-person meeting to finalize details and I didn't know until the actual reception that CJ was juggling several "secret" requests. A few of the family members set up surprises for the reception and CJ handled the requests without spilling any of the secrets. On the day of the wedding CJ provided microphones for the officiant and speaker at the outdoor ceremony. Between the wind and changing voices it was no easy feat to oversee the sound, but CJ made it look effortless. CJ got us through all the details of toast and announcements and special dances, plus a surprise skit by the groom's father. Then he kept people dancing until the last minute. We were thrilled with the music he played and the way he kept the party going. We had a Sunday night wedding and worried people wouldn't stay long...but they did and they danced! I can't give CJ and Crow entertainment enough praise for how well they did in making the wedding a success. I've planned weddings before and never felt the music was a wonderful part of the night...but that's simply because I hadn't found the right DJ! read more

My wife and I had a few song selections that we requested that to be honest, we weren't entirely sure how receptive our DJ would be to playing them. CJ rose to the occasion and not only played the songs we requested, but several others that fit the theme of what we were looking for. CJ also did a fantastic job blending our varied musical tastes together in a way that wasn't jarring. You would think seamlessly going from a Notorious BIG song into a Metallica song might be a stretch, but CJ did it, and he did it with style. We also had a photo booth that was attended to by Lynn and she did a fantastic job helping our guests get in to take their photos, the pictures speak for themselves. Hired Crow Entertainment and DJ Kenny for our wedding reception in 2019, and highly recommend! The booking process with Program Director CJ was efficient and all questions were answered promptly and helpfully, and there were no hidden costs. DJ Kenny was extremely professional. He tailored his emcee approach to the vibe we were seeking, he was detailed in reviewing the music & needs prior to the event, and he successfully balanced the songs we discussed with the needs of the crowd. DJ Kenny also put forth a calm demeanor and sought out those giving toasts, etc to put each person at ease and took charge of logistics and flow so guests could enjoy themselves instead of worrying about where they needed to be. Not the cheapest option available, but certainly fair, and you get what you pay for! Highly recommend! read more

Crow entertainment was absolutely exceptional!! I worked with Brian Crow himself and he was 100% professional and courteous. I left most of the musical choices up to him and I am STILL hearing about how fun my wedding was; 2 months later. The wedding wouldn't have been early as fun or amazing without the help of Brian and his associate Donald. I highly recommend Crow entertainment; they don't play the tacky Chicken Dance, Limbo or Electric Slide (unless specifically asked, of course); instead they play a mix of music that will get you and your guests on the dance floor! Even my 87 year old grandparents were dancing. On a more technical note, Brian works wonder with mixing and manipulating music. I wanted to walk down the aisle to a specific song (my alma matter's fight song) the first part of the song has a slow tempo and the second part of the song has a much faster tempo. I asked Brian if he could slow down the first part of the song enough that I could walk down the aisle and also cut the song so that when the ceremony was over the faster tempo part of the song would play as the bridal party walked out. He did it with NO problem and it was flawless. If you want an amazing party, call Crow. They do everything from gobo lights (we had a big "R" lit up on the dance floor from an overhead gobo light with essentially a stencil in it with our last initial) to making CD party favors and of course music. It was absolutely money well spent. read more

We just had our wedding last Sunday at Herrington on the Bay in Rose Haven, Maryland. CJ was our dj and far exceeded our expectations. From start to finish , CJ was extremely helpful and very professional. He helped us in choosing the perfect songs for our ceremony to announcing us as husband and wife during the reception. I booked a DJ for our Oct 3 wedding 10 months in advance. The DJ we originally booked canceled due to other job obligations 2 months out. Another DJ was substituted in his place. Crow assured me they would send an experienced DJ to the wedding. Our song list was not followed, and the songs started and stopped with little flow. They weren't mixed, leading to a choppy, low-energy atmosphere apparent to our guests. Meeting with Crow ahead of time did not improve performance. Here are some of the areas of performance that did not meet our expectations: 1) We alerted the DJ at our pre-wedding meeting that we had a choreographed dance and provided him with an exact stopping point. The DJ talked over the finale to our dance. 2) During the father/daughter dance, I requested the DJ invite guests to join in on the dance halfway through; guests were never invited. Something we discussed at length during our pre-wedding meeting. 3) Songs were asked to stop being played due to length. Most songs were played in their entirety, when I was specifically told at the meeting that songs would flow together, never running all the way through. 4) I was given no alert to the bouquet toss and my bouquet was nowhere to be found. Instead of realizing no one was prepared, he continued to play the song the entire way through. When the bouquet was found the song was replayed again in its entirety. 5) There were certain songs to be played during dinner/cocktail hour only, and other songs dedicated for the reception. There were 64 total songs on the generated list. I was told 60 was a good number, as songs wouldn't be played in full. Around 20 songs were played from our list. Many songs were played that weren't on the list. I also had 3 songs that were on my MUST play list and only 1 was played. We spent a great deal of time crafting this list as it was important to us. 6) Songs were played twice, like "Man in the Mirror and the "Cha Cha Slide" was played twice in a row. In addition 3 Michael Jackson songs were played in a row. 7) There are multiple instances, on video, of my husband and I encouraging others on the dance floor when it was getting thin. Throughout the night we felt this 'burden,' and went out of our way to compensate. Multiple guests were aware of the subpar performance and were complaining. Instead of offering an apology or validation when we first voiced our concerns, Crow chose to contact vendors involved in our wedding, even taking time to meet with some. Their response, after itemizing and attempting to disprove most of our concerns, was to offer a dinner to our favorite restaurant. Here was our response to their email: You exerted a lot of time and effort into 'proving' the wedding was fun. We aren't denying our guest had a pleasurable experience. The issue remains that we paid you to provide a service and were unhappy with the result. The fact that the majority of our guest and our wedding vendors we hire enjoyed themselves is irrelevant. The rain and my health had no impact on the services provided, and I am unclear as to why you mentioned that in your response. We feel that instead of validating our concerns, you instead tried to prove our concerns to be untrue. You can't research an opinion. In our opinion, the performance didn't live up to the high expectations we had for Crow. We didn't contact you with the expectation for any sort of reimbursement, money or otherwise. We were instead looking for validations of our concerns. The unexpected departure of our initially agreed upon DJ was a set, but we m maintained a solid belief that the replacement would fill his shoes admirably. This wasn't the case, and instead of hearing our concerns, you became defensive, dissecting the affair, in what we view as an attempt to embarrass and belittle. It's unfortunate that it has come to this, as the affair could have been rectified with an initial compassionate response, empathizing with our perspective. A gift card for a restaurant of our choice is unnecessary as it does not relate to our correspondence. Only after sending this email did we receive any type of empathy. Crow seemed more concerned with maintaining their five-star rating, as opposed to satisfying the consumers. We were assigned a DJ unable to fulfill his commitment. An inexperienced DJ was put in his place who appeared nervous and uncomfortable throughout. We paid a large fee to have a DJ at our wedding who would ensure a lively atmosphere to celebrate with friends and family. We were extremely disappointed. read more
