There was NO fire escape. Only 1 way down from 3 floor level !!! When returning to our room later we couldn't get into our room due to issues with the key . 18 mins later a stranger helped us. She did not reply to our calls for help. No curtains on windows only blinds that did not fit windows properly. Difficult sleeping due to bright outside light in the square. This place should not have been opened due to problems and absolutely safety issues. We are going to contact the local council, tourist board & the Garda Also NO BREAKFAST

Lastly the chowder was almost all veg. Pub is trading on its reputation, as a tourist stop. The service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The fish and chips? Hands down the BEST I've ever had -- perfectly crisp on the outside, flaky and tender inside. And the seafood chowder was beyond words. Rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Of course, the beer was fresh and delicious, just as it should be. The fish and chips did not disappoint and the portion size was very generous. If I had to pick a flaw I suppose I would mention the size of the container of the tartar sauce that comes with the meal is very small, about three smears worth. Also, omg, look at the chips! Those are some unique shaped chips, at first I thought they were potato chips that were fried but no, they were French fries that looked like a potato chip. We stopped here after visiting the cliffs of Moher, the restaurant is located in Doolin County, which I believe has a cave you can visit if you want to get some more adventures in after a great meal at a terrific authentic Irish Pub. We were immediately seated and greeted by a friendly and engaging young woman named Joanne. After just a few minutes of chatting with her and perusing the menu we all felt like she was an old friend we'd known a while. Two of us had wanted the Shepard's Pie and she told us there wasn't any available yet and just as we were about to order something else she beamed that it had just come up and we could order it, which we did. The other two in our group ordered hamburgers. Our meals were swiftly served and... just wow. WOW! I'm no connoisseur of Shepard's Pie but if there's a better one out there I'll never find it. It was simply stellar. The hamburgers were also incredible. We learned, quickly, Irish food is usually served unseasoned or seasoned very little and it's up to the person eating to season it to their taste. Both the ladies in our group added a little salt to their burgers and fries and said their fresh burgers were awesome. The owner, Ginny, came out and joined our conversation. We learned she was from the states and she told us some about her experiences in Ireland. All in all, it was just a super nice visit and meal. We all wished we could visit again soon. If you're in the area, and you can make the time, please do yourself a favor and swing by. I can't imagine how you could possibly be disappointed and you certainly won't leave hungry!

First things first, no food here, just drinks. Second, live trad music at 6pm & 10pm when I went in early October. Seating is tight so get there early & grab a few beers and find yourself a spot.
