My husband and I drove from Oregon to Idaho to purchase a used camper. Upon arriving we were…read moregetting a walk around by Gary and Mike. We knew the camper was a little rough, but were assured that it was cleaned up and the roof had been inspected and sealed. Unfortunately we took their word for it. We inspected the camper ourselves while there, but didn't climb on the roof. After driving 750miles back home we then did our own full inspection. What we found was beyond disgusting inside the hanging cabinets and the roof had a big tear around a vent and a previous patch. We contacted Mike and explained the roof situation. He agreed to send the material to repair the roof ourselves.Do not trust them one bit when buying a camper or trailer because they lie about work having been done. Please inspect fully before leaving with your new camper. Below are some pics of what we had to deal with.

DO NOT BUY from PARRIS RV Only reason I am writing this is…read moredue to multiple issues in our experience with Parris RV Absolute worst experience from buying the RV, Quality of the RV, and service warranty of the RV. Salesman lied which is typical and I expected that. Now after dealing with Parris RV on other sides of their house I realize they could care less about the customer and only focus on their bottom line. After not being able to use our RV more than twice since we bought it because it has sat on their lot for warranty repair work for 3 months plus they could not get us in for three weeks for a potential propane line leak that could cause it to explode, no rush on their part to get us in at all. There was zero communication on their part after dropping it off and being told we would hear from them next day or no later than Monday, zero information as to what is happening with our RV, we finally had to contact them not only once but THREE times (Don't bother with voicemail)! The final time after going directly to the GM we were contacted after the weekend saying it was all the sudden done, result proved that to be a lie. When we got there to inspect the RV work done, only one item of numerous items had been completed after months and again zero communication. The linoleum was still bubbling, shower floor still had no support work done, vent covers missing, wallpaper still rippling trim work not fixed, the slide out is apparently an issue we have to live with, door still not locking and screen door wouldn't stay shut, skirting issues not addressed. The way they finally "fixed" the linoleum floor was to just inject glue in the bubbled spots which will fail again and will be out of warranty at that point so won't be on them to fix it after that. We were told by the GM of the Payson location where the warranty work is being preformed, that "buying a trailer from us is like building a custom home, you get what you pay for and a $35k trailer is not expected to be built with quality" and that "no RV is going to be perfect". He told us they can't buy the RV back and will only trade in the RV but THEY can't loose money. They don't care about the money we are loosing having it sit and still make payments and the fact that we have missed trips due to their incompetency. After enough complaining from us due to their incompetency, they had to involve the overall GM who has been doing this for 27yrs and will ensure you he is on your side and just a farm boy from Idaho (sales 101, relate with your customer). He is much more aware of the what he says and how it is said, told us our coach is great and perfect for us, and that he walked through it front to back to make sure it was ready yet somehow missed that the shower was not cleaned or fully ready and obviously did not check the wallpaper around the shower that I had complained about previously and no one has mentioned or pointed out again cause it is a harder fix (still not fixed even though it is "done" and dropped off to us). After telling us the owner (not sure if this is Brett or Dori) will only trade us straight across exact $Price$, because they refuse to cut us a check for a different RV, not one we might actually like, again it is about their bottom line and not looking like they lost money, no care for customer at all. We were told numerous times by the Payson GM and Company GM and their service manager that the failure to communicate was on them and they apologize yet still failed in the exact same areas, they are also quick to state they know there is no Lemon Law for RVs in Utah. They also managed to loose our Puma spare tire cover and replace it with theirs. Bottom Line is that Parris RV does not care about the customer just what they can sell you and tell you what a great deal you are getting and get you our the door with a poor quality, you get what you pay for, $35K RV Don't make the same mistake we did, DO NOT BUY from PARRIS RV!

My mom, who is retired and on a fixed income, recently bought an RV from Camping World of Idaho…read moreFalls so that she could have a place to stay near my house, as I just had a baby. We had a great experience buying the RV, and we felt that everyone was very kind, straight-forward and patient. In retrospect, though, I have two complaints. The first is their partnership with Good Sam's. Nothing good about it. Aaron, her sales person, convinced my mom to buy the extended warranty plan from Good Sam's, which seemed to make sense, as she was buying a used RV and we have no skills in fixing it ourselves. But when the heater stopped working in the middle of the night (and it was 8 degrees, by the way), Good Sam's claimed not to have her policy. Our experience with Camping World's customer service has been less than stellar (second complaint). It's very hard to get someone on the phone who can help with any issue. That said, Mom was able to get someone on the phone finally yesterday. Her name was Leslie, and she was very helpful, tracking down all the records that Good Sam's claimed not to have, including the date Good Sam's cashed the check for her payment on that warranty, since they also claimed to have never been paid. Bottom line: don't be convinced to do business with Good Sam's. Find another policy. It's too late for my mom, and I'm very disappointed that Camping World would recommend that anyone, let alone a retiree who is using her RV as a residence, do any business with Good Sam's.

We purchased a travel trailer in June of this year after looking at numerous different dealers and…read morefloor plans. No specific reason for purchasing from CW other than Coleman trailers are exclusive to them. I was a little worried because of all the negative reviews I'd heard. Our purchasing experience was pretty smooth. We did our homework and knew we did not want to purchase any of the additional warranties/coverages. We have used our trailer regularly over the summer and early fall. The only issue we had was not the fault of CW. We had an ongoing problem with our trailer slide. The service department was great about getting us in and when the problem wasn't fixed initially, they followed up with the manufacturer until the problem was fixed solved. Casey and Jesse were great! Overall a good experience. I'm a firm believer that you 'get what you pay for' in the sense of being educated before making a big purchase and don't blame everything on the dealer.

I purchased a new Winnebago from this dealership in March. As I write this review in late August,…read moreit remains on a service lot. It's been there for a better part of the summer. I've never been able to use it, in fact, I don't know when it will be returned. To make a very long story short, Smith RV lied about the age of the vehicle. As a result, it's in service with extensive weather damage. Work is currently being done by another Winnebago dealer in Boise. They've replaced everything from the automatic jack to the lower half of the slide-out. Smith RV is completely MIA. When I initially contacted Winnebago and found out about the age of the vehicle, I confronted the General Manager. Her immediate response was "it's not illegal." To underscore that point, she restated it several times. This was witnessed by a passenger in my vehicle. The call ended with a promise to follow-up, but I never heard from Smith RV again. From that point forward, the GM wouldn't accept or return my phone calls. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there. The servicing dealer discovered two unsecured batteries in a metal storage bin with the propane tanks. The batteries were installed by Smith as part of an upgrade package. According to the tech, they could've easily tilted, sparked, and caused an explosion. The camper is designed for off-road use, so this is a strong possibility. For that reason, it's not even road worthy. At this point, I don't expect Smith RV to act with any level of integrity. Actions up to this point dictate otherwise. I'm writing this review as a warning to other consumers. It's unacceptable that Smith lied about the age of the Winnebago. It's unconscionable that they then refused to help in any way. It's egregious that they put my life at risk. Smith RV isn't just dishonest, they're reckless. "It's not illegal" is a pretty low bar for any business. When businesses set that standard, consumers get hurt - emotionally, financially, and physically. I'm fortunate the latter didn't happen, but it was a definite possibility.
