Great coffee and service! The iced caramel latte is my favorite. They also have a good selection for lunch as well.

I wouldn't really recommend the food because it's more of a coffee shop/cafe then restaurant.

The young girl helping us out was welcoming and friendly. The ambiance here id relaxed and casual. Our server greeted us and took our oder for drinks. Drinks were served and our order was taken for breakfast. DRINKS Cinnamon roll latte Serving size was generous and pleasing to the eye. It was topped with thick whip cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. Latte was ok, it was lacking on cinnamon roll taste. House Coffee Would have preferred it a bit hotter. FOOD EIGHTEEN WHEELER $13.50 Two slices of our challah bread French toast, two eggs, and a choice of two strips of bacon or two sausage links. Served with Peasant Potatoes or Grits LUMBERJACK BREAKFAST $13.50 Two plain handspun pancakes, two eggs, and a Choice of two strips of bacon or two sausage links. Served with Peasant Potatoes or Grits. (Make it flavored pancakes). Eggs were ok, a bit runny on the whites for my liking. Bacon was ok. Potatoes needed some seasoning, they were just ok. Pancakes just ok, not sure whether handspun means. FRENCH TOAST $9.50 Our challah bread dipped in a rich custard batter, grilled to golden perfection and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Served with your choice of Mom's Sassy Apples, blueberry sauce, or strawberry sauce Try it Crunchy French toast was ok, a bit undercooked in the middle. Added fresh strawberries and blueberries, however, they were out of blueberries. CHICKEN AND WAFFLES $14.00 Belgian waffles topped with crispy chicken tenders sprinkled with powdered sugar and a drizzle of sriracha honey sauce. Waffles were a bit undercooked in the middle. Chicken was good and juicy with a crispy outer layer. 1 star for good service 1 star for quick seating

I traded them for waffles and this were only slightly better. The place itself is nice, clean and the staff was very friendly, but the fact that people love this place is beyond me.

We were greeted quickly by a friendly server who got us drinks right away. We weren't ready to order and he did not rush us. He asked us to move our table number to the front of the table so he would know we were ready. I liked that touch! We went very traditional for breakfast. I opted for the French toast combo with bacon and hash browns. My friend opted for the spinach and feta omelet. Both arrived quickly and were fresh and hot. My food was tasty, the bacon was crispy as ordered and the hash browns were nicely shredded and not too greasy. The only thing that was a bit off was my friend asked for her omelet to be well done and she had to send it back for a recook. There was no problem with that and it was back quickly and definitely cooked much more to her liking. Overall I liked the place for a no frills but well cooked meal. The server was pleasant and we never had to ask for refills. Definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a nice, affordable meal.

Service was good. The biggest downfall was the beverages. The coffee my daughter and I each had tasted like water (we both agreed) we nicely asked waitress to try another pot and she did and it was just as bad. The waitress mentioned that other folks have complained about the coffee. My wife had Ice Tea and she is a connoisseur and she said that too was really tasteless. Basically we spent an extra $10 on drinks that were not good. Waitress didn't offer to comp the drinks even after we mentioned being unhappy with them. With lots of breakfast options in Waxhaw and Indian Land we will be taking our business other places.

Corporate 86'ed it. It truly was the best we have had. I ordered their formerly wonderful sausage gravy over two biscuits, with two fried eggs to order ($13). I usually get it over rye toast, so the biscuits were not what I was used to. The gravy was very thick and did not have any flow to it. Too much "bread" to not enough gravy. And the flavor was "off". What a shame as that, too, had been a highlight menu item. Will give it another shot on another visit. Wife, who does not eat eggs, ordered her favorite the Left Coast BLT with pesto pasta salad ($15). Somehow, she did not like something with it. To be later investigated. This was a weekday breakfast, as we avoid the mob scene crowds of the weekends. But, there was only one waitress with the hostess helping shuttle prepared dishes from kitchen to table. Our wait to order was very long. Come on, guys...you can and have done better. Tighten it up, please.

A lovely discrete treasure, a blessing to the South Charlotte food scene…read more This easy to find yet tucked away café was the best breakfast I've had in many years. The meal started off with an iced rosemary lavender latte crafted with their in house syrup made with cane sugar and fresh herbs. Rosemary and coffee has been a revelation to my palate and I'll be back for this alone. Which I will happily enjoy in this comfortable and cute dining area. Breakfast was made to order from fresh ingredients, piping hot and intentionally seasoned. As their bright and cheerful owner puts it, the main ingredient is love. And trust me, you can taste it. This is the first time in my two decades of eating tofu that I can actually shoutout how delicious it is. And the aromas coming of this photogenic waffle were mouthwatering. While Charlotte has become over run with corporate and copy cat restaurants, it is truly a thing of comfort to enjoy a delicious meal made by good people that care not only about what's on the plate, but who is eating from it. 6 stars

We didn't wait for too long for the table as people were just leaving. It took a bit for the waiter to come to our table and took even longer for him to get our food orders in, which we noticed he got the food orders in for the other tables with people who came in after us. This then lead them to getting their food before ours. I ordered the breakfast combo which came with 2 eggs, bacon, and waffle. I was a bit surprised that this place didn't have any chicken or turkey protein side options as I've seen is common with brunch places. I also got my eggs scrambled which, as you can see by the picture, came out as an omelette. When asking the worker about the confusion, he doubled down on it being scrambled eggs and even gossiped to his coworker about it as well. Upon the unfair wait and the egg situation, I will not be returning here again.
