I come here usually at least once a summer, I am surprised I have not reviewed this place! We don't have a cabin around Crosslake, but we have ties to the area, so make our way over from where we are now about once a year. This is the place for consistent, delicious, coffee. They have been there a while now, and you don't last long if you are not great up there. It's small inside, but there is a nice patio, staff are great, and the menu is expansive. I was pleasantly surprised by Crosslake Coffee!! It's a smaller coffee shop with limited indoor seating, but it has a cozy feel and a huge menu with plenty of options to choose from. We didnt sit outside but noticed a great space out there too! I appreciated that they offer breakfast sandwiches in addition to coffee drinks. I ordered a bagel with egg and cream cheese, but was sad they were out of croissants. The highlight for me was the banana bread latte, it was so good and easily my favorite part of the visit. I had the blueberry bay iced latte- DELISH. The shop itself is also really cute, has fun items to browse. And their menu is expansive for coffee- all written nicely on the chalkboard wall. Crosslake can get very busy on the weekends for breakfast but that does not deter from the experience. Worth the wait IMO. It's a simple cafe with coffee coffee, tons of flavor combinations, and easy, delicious, and fairly priced breakfast sandwiches. The caramel burns are to die for! They look extremely sweet so I was unsure at first but everyone in line was waiting for them to come out of the oven so of course I had to try it! Very tasty, not nearly as sweet as they look, worth the wait! They also have a super cute patio area to sit and enjoy your breakfast in the fresh area. My favorite though are still the breakfast sandwiches because I am more of a hot breakfast person. Also recommend the iced honey latte - had never seen one on the menu so i had to try it. Very good but definitely extremely sweet, I couldn't finish it all so if you are not into very sweet things, I'd try something else. Loved their coffee to much I ended up buying a bag to bring back home with me! read more

However, lack of prices listed, limited food choices, unfriendly service (the time we visited) and unclear protocols for COVID prevention was confusing. Good coffee, not great service. Went there early in hopes to grab a few of their pastries, but to my dismay they hadn't even put them out for the morning. It was 2 girls working and one of them was sitting on her phone behind the register, too. As someone who works retail that's excusable as it was early and not busy, but how about you put the pastries out first before you relax. Best coffee joint in Nisswa, Pequot and Crosslake area for sure! The employees are all very nice and down to earth, coffee is always ready to go (even if you show up BEFORE they actually open...oops!). Their bakery goods are nothing to be passed on (and that's coming from a personal trainer and nutrition coach, ha!). If you're going to have a treat on your weekend, make it worth it! Their scones are buttery, flaky and melt in your mouth just like they should! I highly recommend making this your new "coffee joint" just like my family and I have for years! read more

I wanted to write a review for the management to view. I've never written a negative review before, so this is new for me. In the summers, I frequent Crosslake Coffee and love the small-town coffeeshop feel of it. The food is good, the coffee is excellent, and the customer service is usually incredible. However, this morning (5/01/2021) I went to get coffee and sandwiches for my family. There were five young ladies behind the counter, and I noticed right away that three of them were scrolling through their phones and giggling while the other two completed orders. I didn't have a problem with it at first--if it's not busy and orders are completed, why not have some fun on the job? The issue is that it took 20 minutes for them to make three sandwiches, one of which was thrown out in the process due to a mistake. While making the sandwiches, the two girls kept giggling and laughing while making mistakes, and they didn't seem to know what they were doing. The sandwiches were not complex either. They also did not seem to care that it was taking them a long time. Like I said, Crosslake Coffee usually would get 5 stars from me, and I love going there. But considering it is going to be getting busier as we get into summer, I thought I should let management know that a few employees may need to be talked to or supervised more strictly before the orders start picking up. read more

Friendly service, good breakfast sandwiches, and all the blended drinks you could want (no pour-over/single origin). However, if you're trying to go there to work, note that there is a high-pitched bell on the front door which dings every time someone goes in or out, so you'll be hearing that about 200x during a typical morning. In this case, the customer was _not_ always right, because I would try to surreptitiously block the noise by stuffing a napkin inside the bell, and one of the workers would always take it out . . . read more

The store would clearly benefit from additional staff. At 9am on an October Friday there appeared to be only one worker on duty, who was taking orders, getting out the bakery items, and making the drinks. This made for a LONG wait. I had about five minutes to get coffee and this clearly wasn't going to work out. I was in the store once before on a busy weekend morning, and then a longer wait time would've been more acceptable. On that occasion I thought my Americano was very thin and somewhat cool. Also, the store would really benefit from some traditional coffee shop style menu boards up high. Today I still didn't see what was on offer and guessed I'd have to read it off a paper menu lying on the counter. This place has a perfect location, but a long way to go. This is a great little breakfast spot that we hit up while we were camping across the street. The food is best to take and go as it is more of a sitdown coffee shop inside. Great breakfast sandwiches made fresh. The sausage egg and cheese with a coffee was a great start to our day. read more

Perfect location, right on my way! Easy on and off the main road. Honey Latte with coconut milk was perfectly made and hot! I haven't tried all of the bakery items but the scones are very good.
