The Best Baja Wine Tour hands down! These guys are fun, they take care of you. We crossed into TJ they told us exactly where to meet them and they just took over. They offered to pick us up in San Diego but it comes with a premium so we decided to save a few bucks and cross on foot. I'm telling you me and my crew had so much fun. The ride was fun and scenic, our driver Jessie was phenomenal, dude always in a super good mood, ready to help, ready to answer questions and if you're willing and if time allows he'll take you to small niche places that might not have been part of the original itinerary. That's what he did with us, the plan was to go to what they call the "Introduction Winery" so we can get to know the Guadalupe Valley better. It's one of the bigger ones, lots of infrastructure and logistics. It's called El Cielo, which is very nice. They even took us on this wagon ride through their vineyards. We enjoyed ourselves very much "But" we also wanted to go to this smaller niche, chic winery we had seen on the Crossing South TV show (oh yeah this tour is based on that PBS show) called Villa del Valle. Well Jessie was kind enough to take us there and show us that the winery is actually called Vena Cava which just hits it. The architecture for it is just something to see for sure, the cellar is actually dug into the earth and the ceiling is made up of a couple of upside down discarded fishing boats. The wine was incredibly good, for my taste better than what we had at El Cielo, just outside the wine cellar which is where you have your tastings they have a food truck called Troika, wow! We had some Octopus tostadas and some suckling pig tacos which were simply to die for. Jessie hit it out of the park with this place. That was about half our day, I've already made this too long so I'll just say you will love going on crossing south the experience, we sure did... hope have as much fun as we did. read more
