I started taking classes at BACH on ClassPass and just signed up for an unlimited membership. BACH…read moredoesn't need any more positive reviews- it has glowing reviews on every platform available, but I've loved my experience there so far and want to shout it from the rooftops. Here's what sets BACH apart from dozens of gyms I've taken classes at: -The workouts are BOTH effective and flat out fun. Adaptable for all levels, and different enough each time. -The instructors UNDERSTAND FITNESS. Just take a look at them and it's clear haha. They also correct your form (something I wish all fitness instructors did!), and always in a respectful way. -This next point is what made me commit to a unlimited membership: the sense of community is just ASTOUNDING. Nathan, the owner, learned my name the first time I went (and he still remembers it). He personally responded to another (glowing) review that I left. Kelly at the front desk learned my name, too. We high five each other in class. More seasoned attendees have helped me in class when I had no idea what I was doing. I know some of the other attendees' names, and we chat before and after class. People here CARE. This is what makes me WANT to get up at 4:30 AM to get to the 5:15 AM classes. I have conflicting feelings about posting this, because I feel like everyone should come here, but I also want to keep this gem all to myself!

This is definitely one of the better strength training classes I've been to. The instructor had…read morelots of energy, he was good at correcting, which I really appreciate. There was a big sense of community among everyone that was there, which I appreciated. I wish that they would've asked if I had any injuries, because I do have a pretty significant lower back injury that I know how to modify for but was corrected on a couple things for. Other than that, things were great!

I visited CrossFits EX to get information before starting a free session. My experience in the past…read morewith Crossfit is that they are very picky as to your fitness level, so I wanted to make sure this was a welcoming place for beginners. The person who greeted me informed me that the classes were for all fitness levels and it is for all ages. I was told to come with my daughter, who they also said was welcome, so that we could try it out. Once I got to the class, we were separated from the other class members (was told classes were at your pace) in a private session. In the end, I was told my daughter, who is turning 12, was too young and could only do private sessions, and I should also do private sessions for at least 6 classes (for us both, this would be over $160 a session). I see they have happy customers, but I am sure they all must have come in fit or done their private sessions as suggested. I would not recommend this place if you are starting your fitness journey. You can get private training at a gym and some of the more beginning-level-welcoming CrossFit gyms. If CrossFit is your sport of choice and EX is the closest to your house, I am sure they will welcome you in once you are all fit and ready for their classes. In my case, a place that says I am welcome but treats my fitness level like a problem will never get any of my money

If you are searching for box to join, transfer to, or just drop in like I did, look no further…read more This place is great. I am an experience 'CrossFitter' and have dropped in to other places while travelling, and I have never felt as welcome as I did here. Gordon the owner/coach and all of his staff were knowledgeable, helpful and made everyone there feel awesome. I dropped in four days in a row and even did Yoga for the first time after the WOD on the fourth day. The facility is a good size, certainly not tiny, but not too open/big. It was organized and very clean, obvious that they maintain the place well. Thanks for the great hospitality CrossFit EX! I will definitely drop in again if in town.

Stopped in at Rumble Boxing using my ClassPass App on a Saturday morning! There is an attached…read moreparking garage that can be validated after class. When I arrived for my 0930 class I greeted and instructed to sign in. At about 0935, I noticed that we weren't going into the studio. We were soon informed that the instructor had not shown up for the class and we would have to cancel or wait for the 10:50am class. I wasn't able to stay and wait for the next class but the receptionist was very kind, he refunded my ClassPass points and offered a free visit. He then gave me a tour of the facilities, answered my questions, and validated my parking. Beautiful studio, seems like a fun work out, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get a full experience.

My bestie and I recently signed up for a free intro boxing class at Rumble. Initially when we first…read moresigned up, the class was expected to be full. To our surprise, there was just 3 of us total. I didn't mind, because it gave us way more room and felt like a private session. Before starting, they make sure you have the proper gloves and wraps, and even help you put them on. I fortunately had my own gloves and wraps from previous years of boxing. I believe if you don't have any, it's like $25 or so? They give you the wraps and lend you gloves in this case. The general makeup of the studio is boxing bags on one side and weights with small benches on the other. They set it up so that it feels like a party, with loud music, hyped up chants, and black lights. Our instructor, Jamaal, was awesome and very energetic! The class itself was challenging, but definitely doable if you workout pretty regularly. We started on the bags, with a total of about 3 rounds of boxing. The instructor (standing on a small platform) usually calls out the movements/combinations before each part of the round. I love that they also have a projector showing the movements and timer on the top of the wall. For the second half of the class, we did a mini HIIT workout with weights and small cardio moves in between. This part was even tougher for me, because it's not as choreographed as the boxing portion. I still enjoyed it and felt great afterwards! All in all, I would definitely consider doing another class at some point. My one suggestion is that they either get better mics or turn down the music slightly so that you can clearly hear the instructor.

I just celebrated my 2 year anniversary at CFSC. I've never done anything like this before and it…read morewas WAY out of my comfort zone. I'm not athletic (or very coordinated); I used to think I was too "girly" to lift weights and always felt intimidated in a gym. Walking on the elliptical in my basement while watching my favorite shows was not doing much so, on a whim, I tried the Intro class and was hooked! I like the combination of strength training and cardio. I like how every day the workout is different and challenging. I like the feedback I receive from the coaches (they know when to push me harder and when to tell me to stop). I like how it's not just about working out, but they incorporate nutrition, and have onsite chiropractic and massage therapists. I like how CFSC sets up fun events like the Chili Cook Off, Field Day and several community service opportunities too. But most of all, I like the people! I have found a whole new set of friends, a new community, a new family! These people encourage me, motivate me and hold me accountable daily. They were very welcoming since Day 1. They make me want to do my best. I still may be the slowest and weakness in my class, but I don't care, because I see how much I've improved in the past 2 years...things I never thought I could accomplish before (a pull up, rope climb and running a whole mile!), now I can. And I see the benefits in my every day life... walking up stairs no longer makes me out of breath. I can go hiking or bend over to pick up a heavy duffle bag without hurting my back, or having my knees ache, or lying on the couch for the next two days because I can't move. I feel stronger and I'm walking taller. I'm not doing CrossFit to become a body builder. I'm doing it so that I can enjoy every day life activities. CFSC has literally changed my life!

The online registration and class reservation was a breeze. Miles (the coach) greeted us when we arrived and helped get us assimilated to the gym, equipment, and group. He did a great job providing an overview of what to expect, direction on form when needed, and was encouraging/motivating throughout the session. The experience was much better than I expected my first out of state drop in to be. I am certainly coming back each time I'm in town. I highly recommend for all levels -- it's a friendly, supportive environment. Thanks for the wonderful workout !
