CrossFit Secaucus has become so much more than just a gym to me -- it genuinely feels like my second home. I call it my happy place . I came here to get stronger & leaner and somehow ended up finding an amazing group of people, my 9am peeps & coaches who are soooo welcoming, make me laugh, and occasionally make me question all of my life choices halfway through a workout, lol. Rob truly cares. He notices your progress, push you when he know you have more in you, and somehow convince you that "just one more rep" is a perfectly reasonable request but also makes it resonable for every client when their body disagrees. He knows when to push me to be better & stronger, & when to give my body some grace for rest & recovery. He is so passionate about his gym & takes such good care for every client. I also do personal training with him & I cant say enough good things about his experience as a personal trainer. What I appreciate most is how personalized his training aproach is. It's never just about lifting heavier or getting through a workout; it's about proper technique, building strength, staying consistent, and becoming a better version of myself. If you're looking for a personal trainer who is knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, and genuinely invested in your success, I highly recommend him. Worth every sore muscle! . Deb is so kind & motivates everyone just by being her best, fittest self . She made me believe that consistency is the only way you can achieve your goal by being a perfect role model herself. The coaches & the positive welcoming community makes CrossFit Secaucus really special place to chase your fitness goal. You celebrate each other's success, suffer through the workouts together, laugh together, and keep showing up for one another. Some days you walk in ready to crush it, other days you walk in just trying to survive -- either way, you leave feeling better than when you came in. I'm incredibly grateful for the strength I've gained here, but even more grateful for the friendships, memories, laughs, and people who have become such an important part of my life. If you're looking for more than just a gym -- a place where you'll be challenged, supported, welcomed, and probably pressured by coaches into doing things you swore you'd never do -- CrossFit Secaucus is it. Wouldn't trade this crazy little CrossFit family for anything. read more

I have been with SNCO now since August of 2012. I had been trying to get into shape the year before by jogging and a friend suggested I try this boot camp to tone and expand beyond my cardio workouts. Wow, after the first day I was so sore I could not believe it! I am so glad I stuck through it and it has been such a great experience for me. I have young children and a full time job so the 6AM class works best for me. Now it's part of my schedule and I truly don't mind getting up at 5:30 to work out with our group which is in an environment where everyone encourages and is friendly with each other. The coaches have a great stretching routine before we get started and make sure we are all clear and understand the workouts before we begin. They have both been patient with me as I'm not coordinated and often need to see the exercises a few times. They will also modify the exercises so that they are achievable for anyone. The coaches have pushed me to a new level of fitness which I never thought was possible. My arms and abs have toned up so much from their program in the last few months (and according to my husband my butt looks pretty good too). I highly recommend SNCO, it has built my confidence and self esteem and I never thought after two kids I could get my 20 year old body back, but after a few months of training with Eddie and Rob, it's actually in reach! While browsing on Facebook I came across an ad for the 6 week challenge at CrossFit Secaucus and on a total whim I signed up. I was extremely nervous about it AFTER I signed up and thought, what did I get myself into?! I told myself I would go to the first 2 weeks of fundamentals and if I thought it was too much I would jump ship! It was very intimidating at first, but as soon as Rob started the fundamentals class, I felt comfortable right away! He really went above and beyond to teach everyone the right movements and techniques so there is no injury. I was also pleasantly surprised with how welcoming the coaches and the other crossfitters were! After fundamentals was over, that nervous feeling came back because now I was going into the regular classes with everyone that has been doing this forever. So again, I told myself I would go to one class and if it was too much I would jump ship! I am so, SO happy I stuck with it! Coach Rob and Couch Eddie are absolutely awesome! The attention each individual gets everyday is unbelievable. You can tell they both absolutely love what they do and just want to see the best for their members! With their encouragement, I continue to amaze myself with things I never thought I could do! So if you're having reservations about trying CrossFit, I would highly recommend coming to see Coaches Rob and Eddie, you won't be disappointed!! read more

If you are looking for a workout that is effective and fun that includes interaction and personal attention, this is definitely the way to go. I enjoy being outside even in the cold weather. Class is rarely canceled regardless of weather. They always find a way to have a safe and secure location for a great workout in the same area. If class is canceled, it is posted on Facebook. I feel motivated to go to every class. It is extremely intense, but you go at your pace and do as much as you can. They correct your form to ensure you are getting the most out of your workout while pushing yourself. The coaches are professional yet funny and approachable. Each class contains different components and exercises so you are always working out a different muscle while building on the last workout. Worth the money, time, and effort. Why go to a stuffy gym where you have to pay extra for a trainer or risk injuring yourself trying to do the workouts on your own? Even if you go alone, it's like being around a group of friends. It is an encouraging environment. This is the way to reach those weight loss and healthy goals. Get the best of both worlds with SNCO. read more

CrossFit Secaucus is a Game Changer!!! Consistency and care demonstrate the heart of an organization to me, and CrossFit Secaucus have demonstrated both at a top-notch level. It's been a little over a month since I started CrossFit and I must admit that CrossFit Secaucus, has changed my perspective on the way I view working out. What impressed me most, and continues to impress me, is the personal care and attention the trainers give -- the time and care they took during the Fundamental Classes; the motivation they provided and continue to provide; they even know everyone's name (very impressive). The sessions consist of no more than 15 members, and the trainers are aware and attentive to EVERYONE in the group (very impressive) - it doesn't matter who you are or the level you are at. If you are considering starting CrossFit, and have reservations, give CrossFit Secaucus a try, you will quickly realize that it is money well spent -- EVERYONE is awesome, friendly and motivating, and that alone is PRICELESS. So, in essence, CrossFit Secaucus, Coach Eddie, Coach Rob and the rest of the team, have changed the game for me...thank you! read more

As a mother of 2 young children, I was looking to get back into shape. I knew I wanted a class environment to keep me motivated and competitive. Since time is a key issue for me, I knew I needed to try something quick and intense that would fit into my hectic schedule. A friend recommended SNCO so I decided to try it out. I have only been to a few classes and I already know this is the type of training that will help me achieve my fitness and overall health goals. The coaches at SNCO are very impressive. They are very knowledgeable about the workouts and are more concerned with form and safety for providing an optimal work out. The environment they create us warm and inviting and without judgment. Each workout keeps me challenged and makes me want to perform better the next time. Coaches Rob and Eddie teach, motivate and best of all keep it fun! I never thought I would get up for a 6am workout and I look forward to the days when I will be training. The rest of my day is that much more productive! I would highly recommend piloting a class so you can see for yourself! I know I will continue even after I shed the baby weight :) read more

As an athlete and former amateur, competing body builder I can attest to the high-level of fitness programing that you get at SNCO. I must admit, before trying it out, I was skeptical; however, after training just one time, I was impressed and hooked! I felt more energized, and more physically challenged than I ever did using traditional gyms/training methods. it doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or a world-class athlete; male or female. All you need to do is show up to one of the classes and get started. Coach Eddie and Rob will ascertain your fitness level and provide you with a challenging, yet suitable training program in order for you to achieve your personal fitness goals and still have fun doing it. They're extremely knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to your individual/training needs. Not only that, they are extremely passionate about helping you optimize your fitness levels. If you're in the Greater New York City area this the perfect place to go to! Overall, it's a great environment to train both as an individual, and in group settings. I highly recommend SNCO if you want to get results! read more

Eddie & Rob are amazing trainers & coaches. They always take the time for pep talks about my progress prior to or after each workout session. After my first two months of working out with Eddie & Rob I started noticing the difference, as month's progressed people were noticing the difference as well which gave me an extra push to continue my workout under their leadership. Eddie & Rob have the personality and ability to help anyone reach their optimal goal. Their sincerity and willingness to help makes you want to come back for more. One prime example was preparing me for ToughMudder, finishing (TM) was one of my greatest life achievements. I think without the proper training I would've never been able to finish. Tough Mudder tested all of my mental, endurance, & physical strength. Without Eddie & Rob's training, chants, and "YOU CAN DO THIS" support I would have never finished. Now post baby (8months ago) I am back and slowly noticing the difference. If you are in Secaucus or neighboring towns come by & check out the most caring & awesome coaches at Strength & Conditioning Crossfit Secaucus. ~Sweettwin read more

I worked out often, however I was getting bored with my routine and began searching for something fun, challenging and different. That's when I found CrossFit Secaucus and from the first class realized that I was not in the shape I thought I was in. Coach Rob and Coach Eddie welcomed me, pushed me, corrected my form the whole time and motivated me to get through that work out when I didn't think I was going to. It was tough and unlike anything that I was used to. That's the main reason why I keep coming back, that and the welcoming environment and the other great athletes that come here. Coach Rob and Coach Eddie took the boring out of my workout which makes me very happy. Every single class is a different workout, no matter what they are always pushing and motivating their athletes. There is no doubt in my mind that Rob and Eddie have the knowledge, passion and dedication to get me or anyone else where they want to be physically. read more

I started one year ago, the coach's Eddie, Rob and Manny and second to none. My other Cross fitters are second to none. I see us as an additional family. I learn from everyone there and appreciate all the support. When I started just about a year ago I had no idea what I was doing. I was working out in a regular gym when ever I wanted, diet was all over the place and focus and direction was not there. All of these points the coach's have constantly enforced and reinforced within me. There is no question I can't ask. They want me to be the best John I can in and out of the box. This has become more of a life style than just working out. I will always be thankful for my buddy Brandon (Sunshine) for turning me onto this and giving a call to check out the place for me. I have been to other boxes since and know how special this place is. Thank you coaches and 2017 is my year to shine. read more

There are so many great things I can say about CrossFit Secaucus. I always look forward to what is in store for me at each class which I've never felt with any other previous workout I've done. Our coaches Rob and Eddie have a great sense of humor and make every workout enjoyable but also productive at the same time. They are both great at what they do and constantly encourage and motivate you to achieve things you never thought you could. They are always there to help in any way they can - whether its help getting on a band to do pull ups or advice on nutrition - no matter what you are uncertain of they are always there to give their expert advice. For these reasons and many more, I am so happy to have found them. I recommend anyone in the area who is looking for an awesome workout to try a free trial class like I did - it is such a friendly environment and everyone is welcome! read more

Last summer, I saw a Groupon deal for a boot camp class, so I decided to purchase the deal and try out the class. I already belonged to a gym, but was looking to change the routine and lose those last few stubborn pounds. I gained a lot more than what I wanted to lose. Through these classes, I was able to tone and redefine areas in my body that I thought were just part of the way it was shaped. I found the energy and stamina that not even the 20 something year old version of me had. I found two coaches that were available to council me on nutrition and cheered me on through difficult workouts. What I lost was 17 lbs, 2 dress sizes, and the ever so present feeling of sluggishness. I'm very happy that I made the decision to join SNCO. And at the risk of sounding cheesy, I will say that it has most definitely changed by life for the better. read more

I've been training with Eddie for almost 3 Months now, and believe he is one of the most experienced & committed trainer. I started training 3 times a week, as part of a group session, really enjoyed the variety & challenge & then took on a personal one-on-one session with Eddie. Eddie is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). My fitness has increased noticeably and I've seen improvements in my ability in lifting heavier weights. He ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries; he knows how to motivate and he makes each of my training sessions challenging but rewarding. I would have no hesitation in recommending him as your personal trainer if you want to achieve your fitness and health goals read more

I recently started at Crossfit Secaucus and my only regret is not having started sooner! I was super hesitant to take the leap, but I am so happy I finally did, thanks to a friend who kept talking about what a great place it was. Crossfit is like nothing I've ever done before, so I was very nervous. Coach Rob and Coach Eddie put my mind at at ease from the very first minute. They are very patient, knowledgeable coaches who want to see each and every member succeed. They both go out of their way to make sure they explain and demonstrate exercises until we understand fully. I would recommend CS to anyone who wants to have fun, meet new friends, and get into shape. Run, don't walk, to Crossfit Secaucus! read more

It makes an incomparable difference training with 2 coaches who have both been faced with adversities making dramatic changes in their appearance than hiring a trainer who are genetic freaks & have never dieted or ate properly in their career/existence. Both are very passionate and will focus on your individual goal weather losing weight, increasing stamina, improving flexibility or even putting on muscle. I have trained with both trainers & highly recommend them as they are passionate & very knowledgeable in fitness. It is definitely worth while scheduling a free class to get a feel for what SNCO is about & how they can tailor a program which will put you in the right direction. read more

Eddie/Rob really understand how to get the most out of you. I am pretty averse to workouts and tend to rather focus on work instead. However Eddie/Rob really make sure you get to class and run you through the workout and you end up being the better for it. They realize how far you can go and customize your work out to make the most of your time there. Having been burnt by gym memberships in the past these guys are the real deal. Rarely do you get a such dedicated lot. Count me sold - even if it means getting me in there kicking and screaming :). read more
