This is my second CrossFit box since joining the evil empire, though I travel a great deal for work…read moreso I have dropped in on many. Justin is straight up the best CrossFit coach I have ever encountered. His knowledge base is off the charts and his patience for people like me that are still working to perfect movements is a breath of fresh air. You won't feel like an idiot if you have a higher than normal learning curve, and he knows how to push you without putting you into situations that can lead to injury. If you are a new person just starting CrossFit, you should consider yourself lucky to have him to teach you the ropes. The facility itself is friggin massive. The largest box I have ever been in and it is well organized and kept tidy. One of my principal issues with my old box was how cramped it could be with larger classes but that has never been an issue at Rise. Programming is offered 6 days a week and there is open gym and Yoga offered on Sunday. There are 3 types of classes offered including 'fitness' for beginners, 'performance' for intermediate levels, and 'competition' for the elite athletes. The programming at Rise is quite challenging and there is a much greater focus on weightlifting than my previous experience elsewhere. They do occasionally offer boot camp style classes that are basically CrossFit minus a barbell, but I would suggest to everyone to just get over this initial fear and take the normal classes. It won't be long and the barbell will feel like another appendage anyway. There is a small locker room for you to change and take a shower if you are hitting up the box before work, and the front desk offers the usual FitAid and similar products if you need a post workout pick me up. The community aspect CrossFit is noted for is alive and well at Rise. The last person finishing is just as important as the first one, and you can expect a degree of camaraderie and bonding among your classmates if you show up regularly. Overall, Rise is a great option for CrossFit for any skill level. I plan to keep coming as long as they will have me.

Updated review: I…read moreended up hurting my knee here Fell off the rings funny and the gymnastics pads for landing were no where to be found. They were willing to pause my membership but refused to refund. I'd expect a bit more attention to members especially during covid and social distancing Also when I signed up, one of the owners had my credit card registered under her. It ended up auto billing me for a second month. Took almost a month for her to fix and remove having my credit card information. They are friendly but seem to just lack general care of members otherwise
