There are a lot of naysayers out there of Crossfit, usually people that have never participated in the training, but I can say I have found the negativity completely unfounded in Criterion. After all of the variety of training I did during 22 years in the Marine Corps, I wish I had known about Crossfit while I was still in. It is no wonder that so many members of the military, particularly Special Operators, and law enforcement and first responders use Crossfit as a valued training tool to enhance their capabilities. As a disabled Veteran, my coaches have worked with me and have scaled the workouts to achievable levels to help me set goals, build confidence, and get me back to the levels of fitness I want to achieve and more. Drew and Matt are outstanding coaches and just great people! Did I mention that they are both former Marines? Join this box and you're getting great coaching and supporting a Veteran-owned small business! And the people! The folks that I've met at this box have none of that globo gym attitude nor do they have any sense of "elite" snobbery that one might run across from other people at other Crossfit boxes. I still love it and am so glad I went back! There are cardio and strength classes. Cardio always has some targeted muscle group exercises as well. You always have low impact options and other modifications if you back issues, etc. Dawn and her crew of instructors are great. There are all age groups from college students to a few people in their 70s and everything in between. No one judges you, cares what you wear, your size you are or how out of shape you might be. If you think you can't do it because you're out of shape -- think again. I was so out of shape a year ago that I could barely do it anything, but I paced myself and got back on track. I'm down 22 pounds and feel pretty darned good. Try it!

Still the restrooms are a mess, lockers always full, occasional raw sewage on the floor in the locker room, steam room NEVER works and at least the equipment is always broken. How hard is it to replace a carabiner or a simple roll of toilet paper for peak hours? There are two rolls on the fixture, can we have ONE that has TP on it and a locking stall would be nice. On the plus side, they keep the locker rooms open while the sewer backs up. Classy. Kudos. I have worked out at gyms all over the country. This one could be OK. Many Genesis clubs are nice! Just a complete lack of caring is endemic of this location. Like it's cursed.

Great community and I felt at home on day one. Solid programming that pushed me to my limits in a challenging but safe way. I was actually coached as a drop-in and I left a better athlete in a week of working out here. Made my week long stay at Fort Leonard Wood a good time. Their drop-in policies were totally fair and I would highly recommend literally anyone in the area to check this place out. Heck, I would take orders out here again just to work out here.

Anytime Fitness…read more.. I've been going to gyms off and on since the '70s. In '88 I was in a nearly fatal one-car rollover. Spending over a year in hospitals and years of lessened activity, my muscles were becoming atrophied. Unable to do many of the things once done with ease...walk, talk, stand, sit, bend, grasp, lift, hold, or do basic functions. I found a good fit here at Anytime Fitness. They are patient with us disAbled people, not all gyms are. I've been a "Silver Sneaker's" member here since 2015 when my daughter and I left Minnesota. But again, only off and on. Until that is - the new owners, Wyatt and Marsha, rescued this "Anytime." It is no longer your ordinary, cookie-cutter gym. I now attend at least three times a week and am noticing improvements, and feeling the burn. Marsha always seems to be on hand to guide and help. She is fit and trim and a great example of what can be achieved. She leads individuals and groups in various fitness programs. She set me up with equipment to better my glutes, core, abs, pectorals and more. The place has never been so clean as it has been since their takeover. I am totally impressed with their love of the gym. Wyatt, her in shape husband, is fit and keeps the machines in good working order. They obviously live the life of health and fitness.
