Jared runs a great gym, and is a good guy. Definitely would recommend them. Some of the best and experienced people in CrossFit.

Anytime Fitness…read more.. I've been going to gyms off and on since the '70s. In '88 I was in a nearly fatal one-car rollover. Spending over a year in hospitals and years of lessened activity, my muscles were becoming atrophied. Unable to do many of the things once done with ease...walk, talk, stand, sit, bend, grasp, lift, hold, or do basic functions. I found a good fit here at Anytime Fitness. They are patient with us disAbled people, not all gyms are. I've been a "Silver Sneaker's" member here since 2015 when my daughter and I left Minnesota. But again, only off and on. Until that is - the new owners, Wyatt and Marsha, rescued this "Anytime." It is no longer your ordinary, cookie-cutter gym. I now attend at least three times a week and am noticing improvements, and feeling the burn. Marsha always seems to be on hand to guide and help. She is fit and trim and a great example of what can be achieved. She leads individuals and groups in various fitness programs. She set me up with equipment to better my glutes, core, abs, pectorals and more. The place has never been so clean as it has been since their takeover. I am totally impressed with their love of the gym. Wyatt, her in shape husband, is fit and keeps the machines in good working order. They obviously live the life of health and fitness. Remember, "We don't stop playing because we get old. We get old because we stop playing," George Bernard Shaw. I am 66.

This is a great fitness facility. Very clean and the owner is so nice. I would definitely recommend…read moreto anyone that wants to get into a fitness routine there is plenty of equipment and weights. Absolutely love

Growing up as a child, I have always belong to a Y - mainly b/c of the indoor pool and swim team…read more This place is extremely family friendly and for the more experienced crowd. Since I don't have children or fit any of the typical categories, I honestly was hesitant to join. Germs everywhere is not really my thing. This is the deal, I don't permanently live in the Springfield, area - but I am here a lot. So - I really needed a gym with classes w/ no contracts. The location is perfect for me and near farmer's park with the ONLY Les Mills specific body pump class in the entire city of Springfield. Really? If you love body pump as much as I do, you seek this out. If you drink and eat out as much as I do, you also need to seek out those Grit classes too. Since I was not feeling Orange Theory, the Crossfit schedule really doesn't work for me, and I wanted options of early morning classes/a real gym - this place is perfect. The hours are not 24h like Genesis - but that is ok (5am-10pm). Things to Note: 1) Y member gets you into any Y in the country (almost all - check w/ the specific location). 2) $42 a month, no contract with a $50 join fee (which usually can be lowered). Honestly, this is slightly pricey as a single adult for this area (especially if u have multiple memberships like me) - but they have really good family rates, college rates, etc. The rate supports the local community and worth it if you have a family or two adults in the same household. You can not/should not place a number value on health. 3) Lots of decent equipments and open even at prime time 4) Studio A/rooms for classes is an open classroom for up to like 50 people. I would get there slightly early b/c there isn't always enough diverse weights for everyone (especially if you are picky like me). 5) Older facility but pool access, basketball courts. 6) Really nice staff. Like even the high-school teenagers that work the counters are very knowledgable and professionals. Was I that well mannered at 14? 7) I don't shower here. I can't, too many kids yelling - but I'm sure it's fine. 8) Mix crowd of all range of fitness to make anyone feel comfortable. No one is checking out your new Lulu Lemon outfit here. 9) 2 free guest passes in a year period if you don't want to join. So the Y exceeded my expectations as a single adult, if you have a family - there is no reason not to not become a member of your local community.

Multiple problems, but the staff is the biggest one. The pool staff is by far the WORST anywhere…read more Rude and very unhelpful. If you have kids, they tell you about the pool to get you to join. BUT the pool is regularly closed. When it is open, they definitely don't want kids nor families there. Pretty much no way a child over the age of 4 can swim, bc they are too big for the kiddie area (which is rarely open anyway), but also the "rules" about big kids swimming changes at the whim of who is working that day. If you ask a clarifying question, they are rude and unhelpful, not to mention unprofessional. The "lifeguards" are all snotty 20 year olds who make it clear they don't want you there. As for the workout area, NO rules are ever enforced: people hog the machines, don't wipe them down, and block the track. Despite all of this being against the rules. But staff doesn't correct them bc they don't enforce the rules. The locker rooms say "no kids of opposite gender" and "no phones allowed", both for the sake of privacy for people undressing. BUT people ignore these rules. Good Luck to you if you attempt to get staff or management to enforce the rules, bc their staff will gaslight you and treat you like YOU are the problem, if you want a rule enforced OR if you raise a concern about the rude rude rude condescending staff members. This place is only there to serve the staff and their buddies. Do yourself and your family a favor and go elsewhere.

I have been working out with Shem Johnson (Owner) and Yankton Sothern (Boxing Instructor) since…read moreOctober 2014 and absolutely love it. I have never been a very active person, and after starting my accounting career, the long hours at my desk meant I had put on 80 pounds before I got up the guts to try and find help. As I have never been a very active person, and hate working out, I thought I would give boxing a try as I heard it can be addictive. That was exactly what I needed, an addictive physical hobby. I researched gyms around Springfield, and decided I would give this place a try. Upon contacting Shem, I found him to be very kind but not a pushover, and I began to really value our personal training sessions that helped me to tone up. I also feel his prices are incredibly reasonable, and the atmosphere of the gym is very encouraging. The other people who do cross fit type activities during my sessions were all encouraging and kept me coming back despite my battles with depression and my long work hours. The Saturday boxing instruction with Yankton was very valuable as well. I learned that boxing is indeed very fun, and technical so it keeps my mind active as well. After every session I would make the 25 minute drive home, and still be covered in sweat by the time I got home so I could show off to my husband how hard I worked. If you are looking for a gym that values their patrons, and won't be snobby, this is the place. If they could get a fatty like me to look forward to working on physical goals, I believe they can work miracles in anyone's life, as long as you are willing to put in the time and effort. I absolutely love working out with Shem and everyone I have met at this gym!
