The best workout environment in Orlando! Coach Joe has created an awesome environment for every skill level. CFMD is a welcoming gym that works to empower, motivate, and make you an all around healthier person! I've tried my fair share of fitness studios and workouts around Orlando. For the longest time was a regular at a chain gym and focused primarily on weightlifting. I decided that I wasn't being fulfilled in my workouts and wanted to try something I had never done before; CrossFit. I was always skeptical about trying CF but reached out to see what it was all about. I had a new member consultation with Joe and was immedietly drawn to check out more. Joe walked me through his fitness journey and really hit on every point I was concerned about. He recommended started with some PT to see where I was at physically and get me comfortable with proper CF form. I felt so much better about starting CF after the training and felt like in such a short time my form and athleticism had tremendously improved. Coach Joe is amazing and really works to tailor the workouts to your needs. I took my first CF class recently and to say I'm hooked is an understatement. I am so glad to have found a gym that is so incredibly welcoming and motivating (both coaches and members). I would totally recommend checking out CFMD if you're looking for a fun yet challenging workout, this is it! Also, Grace the french bulldog is a regular and always ready for some pets! read more

5 Stars for a fitness studio that motivates and empowers, while still remaining scaleable and customizable for any level of athlete. Including this "skinny-fat" girl who hasn't worked out in over two months. To say I was skeptical of Crossfit would be a gross understatement. Like you, I have made the occasional joke at my sister's expense about the cult of Crossfit. I imagined insanely fit people, or folks who were just generally over-the-top, yelling at each other while throwing weights on the ground, grunting, and pushing themselves to unhealthy places. And then I finally agreed to go to a buddy workout with my sister at her Crossfit studio. And then I ate my words. And burpeed them out again as new, and educated words. Words like "air squats" and "burpees," for that matter. The workout was posted ahead of time so we had an idea of how horrific it would be. I was prepared for the worst- the dreaded simultaneous puke/faint. Word of advice, eat a protein rich meal an hour ahead of class. I'm grateful my sister reminded me early because I have no doubt that I would have accomplished the puke/faint otherwise. Coach Joe and a woman coach (who was lovely and stayed to talk to me, but whose name escapes me) were so motivating. Coach Joe demonstrated each move we'd be doing in our long buddy sequence. What's that? You want another gross understatement? Here you go: "My big sister carried our team of two." I'm not ashamed to say that I worked at my own pace, and proud of it. The best part? Everyone in the room is doing their workout at their pace and no one is judging you. Overall, my preconceptions were wrong and I loved the warm vibes this place. read more

I joined CrossFit Milk District back in September and officially began classes September 11, 2020. I'm so pleased to be apart of a gym that feels like a community. Joe and Logan are both amazing coaches who really care. I've lost 27lbs since in five months and gone from a size 40 waist to a 34. I'm so much stronger than where I started. I'm so much happier after every workout here. If you're unsure about CrossFit or a little nervous, just stop by and chat with any of the members or coaches, you'll want to join! read more

I've been going here for almost a year now. Crossfit is awesome, but it's all about the gym atmosphere, the coaches & the people who train there. And this place is amazing in all three categories! Coach Joe genuinely cares about everyone he trains. The classes aren't too big. So you really get the one on one attention which is really helpful. Form is pushed intensively. It's such a positive place. I'm hooked. I hate the weeks work gets crazy and I'm not able to make it but a couple of times. If you are curious about crossfit, stop by and see for yourself. You will be impressed. read more

I noticed the lack of recent reviews, and just wanted to update anyone out there curious about CFMD. This gym is truly a home to the members. I've never met a more accommodating, welcoming group of people than the members. Coach Joe has truly formed an incredible community with unbreakable spirit and love for life. No matter what size, age, or gender you are CFMD is the place for you. Start as a great person, leave as a greater one. read more

Crossfit Milk District - Interval Training Gyms Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Crossfit milk district is an awesome gym. I've been between gyms for some time but never really committed to one for the long term, mostly because i never felt the community vibe i was looking for. The first day i visited this gym the members were immediately welcoming which isn't something i felt in the past. The owner Joe is awesome and not to mention hilarious and also made me feel so welcomed the day i came to check this place out. Im currently doing 1 on 1 training with him and he has already taught me so much, my form and range of movement has improved so much and is continuing to do so. This is a gym that is truly focused on you as an individual and I'm happy to call it my new home! read more

I can't go on enough about how this blows all the myths and misconceptions about Crossfit out the window. I'm not saying all Crossfit gyms are great, some can be dangerous and have really poor instruction. This isn't the case for this box. The classes are small so you won't be doing incorrect movements without getting corrected immediately. The other athletes embrace all the newbies and make this box have a great community feeling. I've never worked out and didn't have at least one other fellow crossfitter cheering me on! I was always embarrassed to go to a gym full of fit people and was always worried that I could never be strong, but CFMD (Crossfit Milk District) made this petite girl feel empowered! I would honestly recommend trying it to all my female friends. read more

I can't even begin to tell you how great this place is! I started with Crossfit Milk District about 4 months ago. I joined just to remain active after my trainer quit on me. Little did I know I would fall in love with this box and the fun people who train here!! There are three coaches- Joe (head coach/owner), Geoff, and Emily! They are all very knowledgeable about fitness and Crossfit and always engaged in every workout. If you are struggling with form or insecure about performing a workout they will be there to assist you in anyway possible. Joe honestly believes in his gym and the power of Crossfit... How being the best person you can in the gym translates to you being the best person you can in life. I love it!! I've put on good solid muscle!! My butt has grown and trust me when I say it's a good growth. No matter your skill level or your overall fitness goals, you are always welcome at Crossfit Milk District for a sweaty good time. The people are nice, but the workouts are mean and hard... well thought out nonetheless! You've got to love a good trainer who cares more about you being healthy than you being unable to move the next day. That's Joe and his staff!! Bring yourself to CFMD, you will not be disappointed. read more

When my sister asked me to try crossfit with her last summer I was doing it for moral support and didn't think that I would keep it up longer than the 3 months she was home from college. But it's been a year now and I'm still hooked! I have some friends who workout at some of the bigger boxes in town, but I like the smaller size of CFMD because you get individual attention and it's been easy to get to know a lot of the great people who workout here. If you want to give crossfit a try but are intimidated, this is the place for you. The other athletes are welcoming, the coaches are encouraging and helpful and you will be pushed to do things you didn't think you could! read more

I started Crossfit here back in December of 2013. I knew nothing about Olympic lifting then. My experience in the fitness community was limited to what I had researched on my own and learned from others who "knew what they were talking about". I was relatively fit compared to the average athlete, having lifted and trained for running throughout college, but I was still learning and not confident in myself. Now I am here in 2014, feeling and looking stronger than ever. I've even been complimented by fellow athletes on my change in performance. This box is smaller and there is almost never a time when a coach is not watching you at some point to help you with your form or give you tips. It averages around 5-10 people per class depending on what time you go. Something to note is that currently I'm coming in with outside injuries from sports and Coach Joe gives me advice on how to handle it and the best way to scale the workouts. I feel like there aren't many boxes out there where you would feel like you meant this much to the people around you. Coach Joe is someone that thirsts for knowledge and is always learning and teaching us new techniques. His extensive personal training background shows in his coaching. I originally did three days a week but now I go every day after work. Love this place and the people in it, especially Grace the French Bulldog who will attempt to get you to play with her every time you walk in the door. Just remember to always #blamegeoff and #putyourbarbellsaway! read more

I have been going to CFMD now for 3 months and I absolutely love it. I am sore all of the time, but that's a good thing! Ashley, Charles, and Joe are fantastic trainers and are always looking out for you. I highly recommend that you go in for their week long orientation one on one sessions. It truly has been life changing for me. You track your progress on a weekly basis and you can see the results. If you're looking for a gym with a good vibe come to Crossfit Milk District. read more

Amazing!!! Great community of athletes and incredible dedication from Coach Joe and all the staff. Like my wife said, I drank the CrossFit Kool-Aid, now i am a believer. read more

I walked into this crossfit gym three months ago fat, always exhausted, and general hating myself. I had been out of shape for over a year and had done damage to my body with alcohol, and shitty food. I needed someone and something to light a fire under me to get me moving again. This place did that for me. Ashley and Joe made me strive to work hard and feel better. They helped me care again about how I felt. It began with just workouts that felt like a accomplishment as I left the gym. That left me evaluate my career life and if I felt accomplished at that. Now I sit 28 pounds down, new amazing job, feeling strong, and kicking ass. Unfortunately my schedule makes it unable to continue the workouts with the gym but they gave me the drive and building blocks to continue on. So I thank them greatly for that. read more

I'll never forget my first workout with Coach Joe, he was showing me the fundamentals and basics of crossfit, I didn't even know how to jump rope, something so basic!! Those days are long gone, with consistency and help from the coaches and the fellow crossfitters there I have been able to learned and PR couple of movements, I can jump rope like never before :) Overall the gym, the coaches and the people here are amazing. Thanks y'all read more

Great Great experience!!! was in town for two months and wanted to give crossfit a try so i visited this gym. Everyone was very welcoming from day 1. Joe gave me a run down of how things worked and answered all my questions, he explained all the monthly membership deals to find the right fit for my schedule. The workouts were awesome, i definitely got stronger, classes were not crowded and there was always enough space for everyone. I loved that each class was composed of a mix of people that were all pro at it and others like myself just starting out. I like that Joe focuses on getting each movement down well rather than just doing more rounds and end up with an injury. Highly recommend this place even if you are only in town for a week or a month! Great location too, close to downtown and next to a really cool bar! read more
