The community is awesome- super friendly, welcoming, and just a great vibe overall. Everyone I talk to has been here for 4, 5, 6, even 7+ years, which says everything about how special this place is. The coaches are amazing, focused on correct form, building skill, and making sure you get the most out of every workout. They have scaled options for everything, so no matter where you're at, you'll feel like you can do this and grow. I love walking in, seeing the workout, and thinking, I'm going to do that?! The "during" is always challenging, but walking out feeling proud and accomplished makes it all worth it. I've made this part of my daily routine, and I'm already seeing results. If you're thinking about joining- do it! You won't regret it.

From day one, I felt welcomed by the community, and now I've made some amazing friendships with people who share the same goals and interests. There's something really special about surrounding yourself with others who push you, support you, and genuinely want to see you succeed. One of the most inspiring parts of SUBU is the incredibly strong and supportive group of women here. The energy is empowering--everyone celebrates each other's wins, lifts each other up, and motivates one another to keep showing up and getting better. Being surrounded by such badass women has pushed me to go further than I ever thought I could. Since starting, I've seen a huge improvement in my gymnastic skills--movements that once felt impossible are now part of my regular workouts. My body composition has also noticeably changed for the better; I feel stronger, leaner, and more confident in my own skin. But above all, what keeps me coming back is how fun it is. The coaches know how to challenge us while keeping the energy high and the workouts exciting. I actually look forward to going to the gym EVERY SINGLE DAY! SUBU isn't just a gym, it's a community, and I'm so grateful to be part of it.

One of the best F45 experiences I've had, and I've been to a handful of studios!…read more It's a small space, but they made it work with the setup that we had on a really busy Saturday, hour-long cardio class. I didn't feel too crammed or that I didn't have enough space, which I appreciated. The coaches were AWESOME. Super welcoming, did a great demo, hyped us up during the hour and also checked on us and coached our form. I'm ready to come back and work out again because it was honestly so refreshing. Overall, 5/5 for sure!

5 Star update after only 1 month! (am I an F45 girly now?!)…read more My previous review still stands, but had to say that after a month or so of ClassPassing my way through the F45 classes at Baldwin, I just took the leap to a full F45 unlimited membership. I am HOOKED! The trainers really make the workout so much fun and push me when I'm trying to skate by (half-assed push-ups or lowering weights when I don't *have* to). I find myself dancing my way through these intense workouts and this is legitimately the only thing for which I would get out of bed for a 6:30am class (we're talking pre-sunrise... and I'm not a morning person). I love the atmosphere and the super joyful trainers! In terms of logistics, they have a very convenient schedule with classes all throughout the day. I would suggest giving it a try with their 7 days for 7 dollars intro plan and then seeing if you want to do a month-to-month plan or certain number of classes. I went the ClassPass route, like I mentioned, for a month and realized that I had stopped going to my other fitness studios and was hyped on F45. I also really appreciate that certain days are more cardio-focused (still using weights), and some are resistance-focused. This gives me the right amount of variation and gives me some time to breathe between the crazy cardio days (M, W, F, S). Previous review: 5 Stars for a fun workout that's easy to jump into, and enthusiastic trainers that cheer you on and correct your form. I recently attended a class with my neighbor, Hannah, who has been an active F45 member for several years. Luckily, they're in ClassPass, so I was able to book a spot and quickly sign in on the tablet by the door. From there I got a swift overview with a trainer and started with the rest of the group. The hour is broken up into bite-size segments at different stations. I appreciated that they have weights for all levels (I opted for the lightest to start!), but they encouraged me to push myself and eventually I increased my weights. The space was large, bright, and clean, and there was a water fountain to fill your bottle. Beyond that, everyone in the class seemed approachable if I had any questions. I'd definitely return for a class and hope to keep progressing!

Why is the music…read morealways so loud that even with my noise cancelling AirPods I still have to listen to their music?! At this location I do appreciate the size, the locker rooms are large, the amount of platforms and warm up space is probably the best of the ones in the area. Plus this location is 24 hours. The music here always has a "member has a message" weird voice that plays repeatedly...like who has a message? Do the employees not hear that? It's been months! Listen to your message! Also, it would be super cool if this location (and others) could stop it with all the Fox News and really right wing leaning ads. Have you looked around the gym...those ads don't reflect your client base I do appreciate the two (female) 15k barbells at this location. They aren't the oldest things to ever exist and the knurling is still useful.

I am sharing this because I wish I had understood Crunch Fitness's cancellation process before…read moresigning up. My membership was normally about $33/month. The problem started because the expiration date on my credit card needed to be updated. Crunch called me while I was out of town on a trip. During that call, I asked to cancel my membership. That is when the experience became incredibly frustrating. I was told they could take my credit card payment over the phone, but they could not cancel my membership over the phone. I had to come in person. To me, that felt like a one-way system. They could collect payment remotely. They could add fees remotely. They could call and email me while I was traveling. They could tell me they would keep charging me. But they would not let me cancel remotely. Then I was told there was a $15 late fee, so the amount went from about $33 to about $48. When I did not want to pay that, I was told they would not cancel the membership and would keep charging me. While I was still on my trip, they called and emailed me every day. It felt like being hounded rather than helped. When I finally agreed to pay the $48, I looked at the checkout screen and it showed $81. I was told the amount was higher because I had not given notice before the next calendar month. But I had already tried to cancel while I was traveling. I simply was not allowed to do it remotely. The in-person interaction felt dismissive too. Another employee brought over a woman whose name badge appeared to say Alexis or "Lex," and she told me, "You don't have to be rude about it." I felt like my frustration was treated as the problem instead of the confusing billing and cancellation process. I would have considered going back to Crunch in the future. After this, I would not. I left feeling trapped, pressured, and disrespected. Before signing up, I would strongly recommend asking exactly how cancellation works and what happens if you need to cancel while traveling or unable to come in person.
