    Equipment
    Eric F.

This is a nice, local gym. They have a decent assortment of equipment. It's usually empty in the mornings, but I've heard it gets busy in the evenings. The month to month price is similar to your big chains but if you pay for the year you get a great price. Potential downsides: There are no frills here like pools, saunas, or sports courts, and the music is often too loud and tasteless.

My son (a minor) recently went in person, as requested by staff on the phone, where he was advised that he needed to make another payment, which was never explained to him what it was for, they charged him $19.36 which I must point out is $2 more then his monthly membership. Fast forward a week I was charged another $17.23 for his membership. When he went up there they told him they were "investigating" and would call me back. Here we are another 3 weeks later with no word from anyone at Crunch fitness and now they have no history of the $19.36 payment he was "required" to pay when he requested to cancel, the staff member who "processed" the cancellation DID NOT fully complete the process so a cancellation was never sent to my email. I just got off a phone call with the "General Manager" John and he was especially UNHELPFUL. The call started what I thought helpful and understanding, until he started to speak to me in an absolutely condescending tone, unwilling to "meet me in the middle" on a clear clerical error on HIS EMPLOYEE's part. I have never had this many issues in canceling a membership or have been treated with such disrespect.

I spoke with Bruna after class and she said these are corporate rules. Pathetic. I earlier praised this location for being respectful to people's ears and now they are doing the same as east colonial just because they think it's cool

My friend recommended it, and they offer a free first trial class so I did! I wasn't convinced with the first class, I felt really pressured by the staff to get a membership. They started to make me feel uncomfortable by calling me multiple times everyday and being so pushy about me joining. I tried out other gyms and noticed what they offer is actually really good! The plan I got is 8 classes a month for 89.99. To me, it was good compared to other gyms in the area that were 250 every two weeks ..... it's easy for me to book classes on their app, I have my closest gyms favored and when I try to look for classes it shows the ones closest to me! For example, if I want a workout tomorrow morning all I do is open my app and it shows the trainer, the time, and the location. You cannot cancel within 8 hours without being charged a fee. I thought this would be an issue but I normally decide to go last minute since I have a one year old who makes having a certain schedule almost impossible. The classes are great, they are challenging but doable even if you've never been to a gym. The trainers are there to help with anything you need. I am super shy to ask for help but some of the trainers watch to make sure you're doing the workouts correctly (not all of them do this) I feel stronger and I feel that I look better, but definitely not where I want to be. Orange theory is definitely a good place to start and get a routine. But I will rather join a gym and have this membership as well, once I have more time to focus on fitness.

You can never count that it will properly book or cancel the class and it will always try to charge you for more classes even when you have a membership or over 10 classes left in your package. I've contacted the local OTF office and the OTF app developers about these issues but they haven't been resolved. This does not appear to be a local Altamonte Springs OTF issue, this is a nationwide OTF issue that needs to be resolved. The Altamonte Springs instructors are incredible and very knowledgeable. I always get an awesome workout and feel great afterwords and look forward to the classes. Facilities are very clean. The booking app and website just make booking any classes a major headache and I'm on the verge of cancelling my membership because of the constant struggle and lack of help in this department.

The training studio is behind an office park and if you didn't have the address plugged into GPS, you'd never find it. It's not a place you'd see driving down the road. It is small, but has ample room to workout. Class sizes are limited to, I think, 10 people max, as it's more personalized than a group fitness class at a gym. It's a cross between personal training and group fitness. The class I attended was cardio and abs. The room was set up with 8 different stations and Melissa shows us how to do each of the exercises. You'd do each one for 3 minutes and then you'd have 30 seconds to catch your breath, grab a drink of water, and move to the next station. Once the 8 cardio stations were complete, we moved on to abs, where it was set up the same way. I definitely felt like I wanted to die, but in a good way, if there is such a thing! My lungs were on fire, I didn't bring enough water and it was embarrassing how badly out of shape I am. (Ok, embarrassing isn't the right word, but I was very conscious of my body and the areas I need to work on!) The prices aren't bad either. It's $7.50 a class and you sign up and pay online, so you don't have to worry about carrying cash. www.sassfit.com I will definitely be going back once I can walk again! ;)
