It's a sick gym and I had a good workout. The coaches were welcoming, same with the athletes. read more

CrossFit Magna - Interval Training Gyms Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

If it were possible to rate CrossFit Magna higher than 5 stars there is no doubt I would. I walked into Magna a year ago with ZERO CrossFit experience and having never touched a barbell in my life. The owner Brian and coach Cole were so incredibly welcoming, and have taken an immense amount of time over the year to help me achieve my goals in CrossFit. They have created an environment at Magna that truly makes it feel like a home. They are so encouraging, and will pour into you as an athlete if you are willing to put in the work! If it weren't for CrossFit Magna there is no way I would be where I am today in my journey through CrossFit. Whether you are a seasoned cross fitter or a beginner there is a place for you at Magna! Aside from being the best CrossFit gym in phoenix, Magna has changed my life. I have made friends that are family, and I look forward to going there every day! Thank you Brian and Cole for making Magna what it is! read more

Brian is an outstanding coach.... creates a great workout, challenges people within their limits, and fosters a great community. I don't have a lot of time, so CrossFit is my best and most efficient way to get in shape. I never work harder than when at CrossFit. read more

I really enjoy this CrossFit! It's very inclusive and they incorporate a good amount of cardio!

Having been to a handful of Crossfit gyms in Phoenix over the past 5 years, Magna is, hands down, the best I've been to. From excellent coaching to thoughtful programming, thorough warmups to a great, family environment - Magna has it all! I end each week having gotten a good, overall workout without injury or over-working any single muscle group. They also take advantage of the entire hour class, providing a warm up, skill, strength, and the workout. For once in a long time, I look forward to class and making progress. If you're trying out a few gyms in the valley, come here last so you can see how it's superior to every other gym and can just stay after your week trial. read more

I tried a few different Crossfit gyms/boxes around the Scottsdale/Phoenix area before deciding on Crossfit Magna. I thought Magna was the best coached and everyone was incredibly nice. A few of the classes can be geared towards more competitive Crossfitters although there is a wide range of fitness and experience amongst the people there. The owners, Brian and Katie are awesome. read more

Brian and Cole are EXCELLENT coaches. After one class I was hooked! Great environment and community. I highly recommend

Crossfit Magna has transformed my life. The community is so supportive, helpful and encouraging. The coaches go above and beyond simply taking you through a workout and truly care about you as an individual. I am proud to be part of the Crossfit Magna Community. read more

By far, this is one of the best crossfit gyms I've been to. The facility, coaches, workout, music, everything is on point. I recommend this gym without a doubt, hands down A+++! read more

I tried out Crossfit last year, and loved it! Had an amazing experience with Brian, Evan, Preslie, and the rest of the staff. Sadly, due to family matters, I had to stop doing CrossFit. Things have since changed and I just started back up. I forgot how incredibly challenging it is, but how rewarding it is just to finish a workout! Brian, who remembered me by name immediately, has been so incredibly welcoming and helpful with my return. You can tell that he really embraces the idea of CrossFit being a community that is there to support you and help you grow. I can't recommend CrossFit Magna enough and hope that if you're considering it, that you just take leap! read more

Great Box! I contacted Brian to see if I could do an early morning drop-in session as I was in town for business. He was the first of 3 CF boxes to respond back to me so CF Magna got my $20 and I got a CF Magna t-shirt and a great workout in return. I've been crossfitting for 2 years out of El Dorado Hills Crossfit in CA and I know we are all partial to our home box but CF Magna had a great vibe and Coach Marcus was excellent. I'll visit them the next time I'm in town for business! read more

This is by far the best gym I've ever been to and it's the most fun I've ever had while working out. I've been working out with CrossFit Magna for a year now and have enjoyed every minute of it. I was pretty intimidated when I first started due to everything you hear/read about CrossFit. Marcus and Brian quickly made me realize that like any workout program you have to do it right and work to your personal fitness level. Marcus and Brian teach form first and help you scale all the programming to your personal level. They truly care about your well being, and if you're competitive like me you need someone to keep you in check. Not only is the staff great, but the other members are awesome too. I typically go to one of the morning classes and these people have become very close friends. CrossFit Magna is more than just a gym. It's a place to create friendships, network, and get a killer workout in. It's an absolute blast! read more

I'm a college student at U of A and I dropped in to CrossFit Magna while in town visiting family. It was an incredible experience! The coaches are fantastic, very knowledgable and encouraging, and the community is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend and I plan on dropping in EVERYTIME I am in town. read more

I started going to this box 6 months ago. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it and was concerned about getting injured since I have never done CrossFit. The first month was the toughest. I was out of shape and couldn't even keep up with half the people in the class. However, Brian (the owner) really takes his time explaining and ensures you understand what to do and how to do it. The reason I kept coming back was because of the coaching, and after I got to know the people at the gym, I was hooked. It is a great place to come work out, meet great people, learn about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. I am glad I'm stuck around. read more

Alright. I held off writing this review till I had been at this gym for a full year. Quick background that will be pertinent for this review. Previously I had never done any sort of weight training aside from food to my mouth. I felt weak and was at a point where I was ready to put in some hard work. I will stop here on talking about myself and my progress, and this won't be a review on CrossFit as awhole. No it's just going to be about this gym and what it's like. I started off by emailing the owner Brian about coming to visit the gym. He responded the same day and welcomed me in. He told me a time to come in and have more support in a smaller class. I started going for my trial week. The coaches were supportive and kind. They would introduce themselves to me and give me extra support being a newby to CrossFit in general. I started off going to the pm classes and made lots of friends here. As per life.. my schedule changed and I began to go to the AM group. The am group is nice because it is always the same cast and it's smaller class sizes so you get to know people a lot faster here. Beware no one hangs out too long cause it's off to work. If you're wondering there are showers available here. The facilities are well maintained by the owner and coaches who are proud of their gym and it shows how they care for it. (So if you go keep that in mind and don't be careless). The facility is one of the largest CrossFit gyms I've been to in the last year. Lots of room for activities. Lots of equipment. Lots of people working hard. Has a kids area, 75% of the time with some kids playing around here. Also puppies. Do I need to say more about this gym? Let's talk about the coaches here. The owner Brian is great at programming challenging workouts (wods). There is always a warm up and an optional cool down, where he takes extra care for your bodies by preparing you for movements and your day afterwards. I travel for work and visited a handful of CrossFit gyms/boxes. Not all are created equal and even though they have warm ups they are not well planned or thought out like Brian's are. That being said, IF you take it seriously it will HELP to avoid injury. Actually not getting injured is up to you. It's definitely part of CrossFit, but is also a big part of this gym is knowing what you're capable of and scaling wods appropriately. The coaches are always open for you to ask what might be best for you. If you're new they will be there to help you out. There is such a varying cast of coaches here. From regional athletes to nutrition coaches. All of them ready to pour some knowledge on you if you care to know it. Here are my last thoughts about this gym.. So it was intimidating going and seeing the extremely fit people at the gym, but there is the gammit of skill levels here. Yes some classes will have a larger contingencies of skill groups, but find a time you like and stick with it, you'll make friends regardless. If you're motivated and committed to bettering yourself you will fit right in. Would I recommend this box? Yes absolutely I do. It is a very average price for CrossFit. That being said CrossFit is like car payment expensive. Thankfully I don't have one. I'll have to rethink it when I do, but it will be easy. I'll still want to come here. read more

Just started here about two weeks ago. This is my first time trying CrossFit. I needed a change from the traditional gym routine. The group sessions are challenging and rewarding. Coaches do a good job teaching the movements and providing support throughout the workouts. I started feeling the benefits after my first session and two weeks later I'm hooked. I play soccer and basketball and I'm feeling stronger in both games from the functional movements we're doing in CrossFit. I highly recommend giving this a try, especially if you're looking to mix up your workouts. read more

An awesome CrossFit Box!! The coaching staff at Magna is excellent and very helpful. Prior to joining Magna, I over weight and was doing a lot of lifts improperly. The coaches where extremely helpful in correcting our my technique so that I sould not injury myself. They always stressed proper technique over weight. Through the course of workout at Magna, I saw significant improvement in my Barbell Movement along with doing Pull-Ups and various other movements. At the same time, the where extremely helpful in whipping me in shape through my diet as well. I was able to drop 50 + pounds as well, which saw significant improvement in doing the WODs. I would highly recommend this place and the coaches. read more

A friend of mine & I were in a pinch for 17.4 & not only did CrossFit Magna open their doors (and their enormous facility) to us, but Brian & Marcus coached us up, cheered us on, and scored us - AND they had a scheduled class going on! We really appreciated it & the next time I'm in the Phoenix area, I'll definitely be back to get a good workout in a really friendly - but competitive spot. read more

Absolutely perfect!! I've been around CrossFit since 2006 and I've never been to a gym so focused on its members. The owner, his wife and coaches are highly intelligent, well educated, and willing to share all they know with every single client. The level of personal care my wife was given throughout her pregnancy and after returning from the birth of our second child moved me to write this review. These folks whipped her back into phenomenal shape in short order, while simultaneously considering her unique circumstance and personal goals. If you think you'll get that from a standard gym/personal trainer, you're dead wrong. In a place like this, you'll find value, neighborly friends, a family oriented staff and humble, knowledgable professionals who share a passion for your fitness. If you live any place close to the intersection of Cactus and Shea, pay these folks a visit, you'll thank me! read more

Went here once and would have liked to come back. This place is super close to my house and the box is huge. Only downfall is the price. I know you have to charge what you do, but there is no way I could swing that kind of cash. Good luck and thanks for the workout! read more

Was in town for business and decided to drop in, Brian greeted me immediately, very friendly guy, I told him I'm looking to workout for the next couple of days while in town. I paid $20 for the week, which was awesome. Very friendly coaches and members, made me feel welcome. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town. Thank you Coach Brian for the warm welcome. read more

I was visiting Phoenix and was looking for a box where I could be judged for Open workout 20.2. Stopped in on Friday morning before class and Brian said he could judge me. Couldn't believe it...he dropped everything and took time to judge me. Super accommodating and helpful. Great facility. Don't know about the other coaches, but if Brian is any indication, this is top notch CrossFit gym. read more

Had a great time at CF Magna! I was visiting Phoenix and needed a last minute Open judge. Brian and his team were quick and flexible to help me get my score in time. Found Crossfit Magna on Google a few years ago and have been going there since then. I didn't know much about crossfit so I looked at a few different gyms in the area and after calling Brian and speaking to him on the phone, it sounded like the best place for me. There were no contracts, and the first week was free to try it out, plus it was closest to my home so the location was convenient (area around PV Mall). My gf and I went in for the first workout and were impressed. Brian and his wife Katie were extremely friendly and professional. There were no high-pressure sales tactics to sign up for anything, just sign the waiver and start working out! After the workout we decided on the 3 day per week membership but soon transitioned to full-time as we were both seeing great gains from the training and made many friends in the gym. We usually go to the 6:30pm class during the week because it fits our work schedule, and the Saturday morning class. They have early morning classes also for those that go before work. Two years later and joining Crossfit Magna is one of the best decisions we have ever made. We actually look forward to going to the gym in the evening after work. I can't say that about my previous training regimens. With Crossfit you have to be careful about the gym you pick as they are definitely NOT all the same. Some coaches are great, some not so great. Most of the time it's Brian or Katie coaching, but all of the coaches we've had at Magna have been terrific. We couldn't be happier. Great job Magna! read more

Dropped in for four days and really enjoyed the programming. Facility is big and coaches took time to understand my experience level and to provide guidance as needed. Where do I start! I hated the concept of working out, I couldn't stick with a workout program to save my life. I walked into CrossFit Magna in 2017 and haven't left. The coaching staff is not only passionate about what they do but genuinely care about the well being of everyone at the gym. I look forward to walking in and seeing Brian, Evan and the rest of my Magna family. CrossFit Magna has become more to me than a place to workout. It's been my escape a place where I can go forget about my troubles get in a great workout and go home feeling great about myself. I highly recommend CrossFit Magna to anyone. read more

My husband has been doing CrossFit for almost 4 years and I finally decided to give it a try. He had met Brian, the owner, at an event previously and loved his passion for the sport. It made sense that I would choose his box to try CrossFit out and I am so glad I did. All the coaches at Magna are incredible and provide excellent coaching and training. The community atmosphere is awesome and all the athletes are motivating and encouraging to other members. Many of the members have been going there for years and even though I am new, I have been welcomed with open arms. I have quickly come to love the sport of CrossFit and I find the programming challenging, fun and competitive. I can't imagine working out at any other box. I have found my new fitness home at Magna! read more

Awesome crossfit and training gym, one of the best in town from every crossfitter I've talked to. Coach BK is great, very knowledgable and a great coach, and so is Coach Marcus. They welcome all levels of fitness, and each class can be tailored to any fitness level all at the same time. First week is free, no excuse not to try. Great combination of strength training and daily WODs. read more

My wife and I traveled from Middle Tennessee to the Phoneix/Scottsdale area on our Fall Break with our two boys. We have been doing CrossFit for about a year now and we always here people in our Box talking about traveling and doing a "drop in" to a box when you are on the road. This place was awesome. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and they had a place to the side where the kids could play while we got in a work out. Great gym, great atmosphere, and great group of people here. We will certainly be back when in the area. read more

This isn't my first Crossfit experience although with my body style, it sure looks like it is. I've been away from the gym for a few years and was happy I came across Crossfit Magna.
