The first floor has a café, lounge, clean locker rooms with saunas and plunge pools, and multiple indoor and outdoor pools, including an adults-only option and fun water slides. They also have lifeguards on duty, which gives extra peace of mind for families. The second floor offers plenty of included classes, indoor basketball and pickleball courts, and a great Kids Club that keeps children active with real activities instead of screens. The third floor has top-notch weight and cardio equipment, guided workout tech, and recovery tools like hydromassage and compression therapy. There's plenty of space and equipment for serious lifting too. One of the best perks is the Kids Club and their programs. The teachers are caring and certified, and the activities are great. It's so convenient to drop the kids off for complimentary classes while adults work out. They even have Parent Night on weekends where you can drop the kids off for a few hours. It's an amazing perk if you have little ones. The swim program is another highlight. My kids love it and stay motivated when they see older kids dive. They really want to keep learning so they can do that too. The swimming instructors are caring, certified, and the coaching gets better as kids move up. There are always lifeguards on duty, which makes it feel extra safe. The family locker rooms are very convenient and always clean. Parking can be a bit of a hassle since it fills up quickly, but so far I've always been lucky enough to find a spot.

Having actually helped lay the foundation back in my construction days yep, I poured the slab in the parking lot and near the Starbucks next door it was surreal to come back and see the finished masterpiece towering above me. My wife and I signed up for a starter class, and let me tell you, the excitement is real. The scale of this place is jaw-dropping; every wall, every route, every corner feels massive and meticulously designed. The staff is top-notch, friendly, and clearly passionate, which makes getting started a breeze. It's the kind of place where you can feel the history and effort in every inch, and yet it's buzzing with energy and accessibility for beginners. Coming back as a participant instead of a laborer it's a full-circle kind of thrill. Blown away doesn't even begin to cover it. Excellent gym | very aesthetic…read more This is the biggest climbing facility I've ever been to. It is one of those climbing chains, like Movement, so they have a lot to offer for climbers and fitness enthusiasts. Keep in mind that I'm writing this review with a background of climbing over 15 years and have visited many gyms throughout the country and overseas. The gym boasts over 20,000 sq ft with 17ft tall boulders and 40ft walls of rope routes. You can never be bored here. In fact, there's so much space that they don't know what else to do with it! They have lounging areas, a couple of bathroom areas, training board systems, and weight training. But let's talk bouldering first... Some of the routes I've jumped on felt intuitive. Good flow. There were a few that puzzled me, though. One route was an overhanging low grade route that I anticipated to be an easy warm up, but instead they placed a hold that forced me to do a less than ideal move for the grade. I was spooked. A friend agreed. Overall, they have lots of area with various range of problems for a beginner climber to an advanced veteran. No kids area, but I'd say the area closest to the front desk to the left is the most kid friendly spot. The second biggest feature here is the newly opened rope area. It's impressive and overwhelming. There are about 5 auto belay systems, so you can get a pretty decent work out if you came solo. I saw routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.11 when I did autobelay here. There are two crack climbs one can practice in the auto belay area as well. There is everything imaginable from 5.4 to 5.12/13 here, including overhanging routes. Also, I was impressed with their various holds! One set of black holds were used for a stemmy route, which I thought was neat. I believe they set every 8 weeks. Community? I'm not sure. I think when you are a gym like Movement, it's hard to cultivate a tight-knit climbing community, like Santa Rosa's Vertex or Tigard's Circuit, but I think there are little climbing groups that make up a community. People are friendly though. This place is well thought out. I'm impressed and found the staff to be helpful. A day pass is $27. For a place like this, it's worth it. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here.

He never once made me feel like it was a hard sell - more, he was here to answer my questions and encourage me. Most importantly, he assured me that this wasn't going to be something that was going to drive me away. The team was going to work with me at my pace. I decided I'd go three mornings a week - totally crazy, right?! Now, I work with Vince three early mornings a week. Vince is awesome! He's fun to work with, super knowledgeable - always taking the time to explain things to me. And, most importantly, he's encouraging. The staff is always welcoming, and there's an open kitchen where you can help yourself to coffee and water. They do an amazing job keeping this place clean and inviting. The location is great for a co-working space. The only downside is the reception -- the cell signal can be pretty low, so sometimes it's hard to be on the phone. They were motivating, professional, and made the class feel welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. However, I was disappointed with my experience outside of the workout. I was told the class would be a free trial, but afterward I was charged $30 to the card I had on file because I didn't purchase a membership that day. I had been clear that I planned to buy a membership when I returned in about two months, yet I was repeatedly told that I "wasn't local," even though I live only five minutes away. That part of the experience felt misleading and uncomfortable, and unfortunately came across as a bit of a bait and switch. While I truly liked the instructor and the class itself, the way the situation was handled afterward rubbed me the wrong way and ultimately made me hesitant to move forward with a membership. I hope this feedback helps, because the workout itself was great. I just wish the communication and policies around trial classes had been clearer and more consistent.

Their goal is to get you in, get you an awesome workout, and then get you on with your day, feeling like you did something awesome. The workouts themselves are great - at the end of a long day, I've got decision fatigue and it's so nice to know that I will be told what to do for an hour, given everything I need to be successful at it, and then empowered to do my best. Now, OTF Cedar Mill is a special place. I'm sure it looks like every other Orange Theory studio, but the coaches and staff simply make it different. You're known by name, they know what side of the room you prefer or what piece of equipment you like to start on. As for the members, I haven't come across an a**hole yet (despite feeling like I'm a magnet for that type of person). The members here are all happy to be making the most of their workout in, and aren't "on the make"; there's no posturing or performing, because that's not what OTF is about. It's about you, your hour, and your personal desire to get healthy.
