This gym has young to old, superfit and the beginners and a track that meets the needs of all. Ryan, the head coach, is amazing as are the other coaches. The coaching staff is friendly and focused on functional fitness and nutrition (yes they have Oly but its not just about bulk, cardio, flexibility and overall health are a focus). They also have several members that are an extension of staff for other needs such as physical therapy and nutrition.

They don't tell you that - they treat everyone the same . If you never worked out before - just try to do a 10 minute workout and you will have done an A+ job. I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. We…read morehad a slight issue but because of Shad Andreas (the new personal training manager) top-notch customer service skills, fast thinking and his constant communication with me, he came through with flying colors and I was totally satisfied and happy with the outcome. Shad worked hard to make things right and it showed, very much appreciated. What a fantastic decision to transfer him to this facility in Gilbert to "fix" things, he definitely is in the right spot and will go far. During my dealings with Shad last week, I dealt with numerous others that definitely deserve recognition for their patience, helpfulness and just being kind over the phone. Chase was the one answering the phone and wanting to help, good listener and never just transferred me to get me off his line, he truly wanted to make sure I got to the right person. Andrew, the assistant manager is also in the right position, he truly is there to serve MountainSide's customers. Last but not least is Chandler the manager, talk about making things happen for the good of the customers and the follow up is amazing, something you don't find anymore. One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.
