We had a great chat and made sure to answer all of my questions fully and didn't make me feel rushed at all. My free intro class was coached by Chloe. She was very welcoming and so were the other members. Chloe did (and always does) a great job teaching each movement and proving effective cues all while keeping a fun and upbeat vibe! My husband and I have been members for 2 years now and it's safe to say it was the best decision we could have made. Not only did we find a great, safe, and fun place to workout, we have met some of our best friends which has made Denton feel like home faster than we could have ever expected. Jason and Molly have since moved the gym to a bigger and better location and as a member I feel super spoiled every time I walk in. The equipment is well maintained and there is plenty of space to workout without bumping into fellow athletes. They have adjusted SO well to accommodating new safety standards due to COVID-19. Each athlete is able to workout in a designated area safely spaced from others. They also added several new programs that can be done at home for those who still do not feel safe. Jason and Molly are constantly evaluating how they can add more value to their members and take feedback to heart. In 90 days my body has changed in noticeable ways, and I'm definitely getting stronger. I've never stayed this committed to a workout regimen this long, and that's 100% because of how amazing this gym is. I've never once been intimidated, made to feel inferior, or pressured into doing a movement that might cause an injury. In my experience at The MVMT Lab: Every movement is modifiable. Every workout is achievable wherever you are in your fitness journey. The culture is inclusive, diverse, and wonderfully positive. Every coach is well-educated and informed about how to make sure you're moving safely with good form. The other athletes are super supportive and encouraging af. If you're on the fence about trying CrossFit, The MVMT Lab is an amazing spot to get you moving on your fitness journey!

Brickhouse gym has members that act like they own the gym. I personally was confronted by an…read moreindividual over a fan being on and was ready to fight me over it. I am 60, this guy upper 30's maybe 40's and juiced up on roids with a bad attitude and he was ready to fight. The gym is hot, the equipment is old and the staff is nonexistent. I did cancel my membership and searching for another gym. Not sure if owners are aware of the issues, but maybe if they read this, they will make improvements. I join gyms to work out not to have a fist fight over whether a fan is on or off because of the heat.

Mind you, not one of the employees have ever addressed me about issues. They would always say hello, and I would carry on about my work out. I never talked to anyone, bothered anyone, and I always cleaned up after myself. I brought my own mat once and was told the policy, and I quickly apologized and returned it to the car. So for that I was very confused to get a call from a man talking to as if I am a child, and proceeded accuse me of constant rude behavior from previous employees. My boyfriend and I are both minority people, and were the only minority people in there anytime we went so I just cant help to wonder if the issue was never with me and always a personal problem. Not to mention this man called another location I go to, to request I be banned. Long story short, profiling and racism is still very much alive. 0/10

I went to my first session and had a blast!…read more I received my first free session through an ad on Facebook and a free week through my points on the NTTA App (if you ride the Toll, check out the points system). Leading up to my first day, Josh, the owner, was super encouraging and welcoming. The instructor of the night was Bailey and she was so sweet. I was nervous, but she made me feel comfortable and encouraged everyone to go at their own pace. Note- it's the same with water breaks that you go when needed and be sure to byow! I went on a Wednesday night which was Club Night so lights were off except some fun neon lights and music was jamming. I had so much fun that I just ended up jumping in and buying a membership! My body is definitely sore, but excited to see what progress I make.

There is a clearly listed rule in the fitness area that children under the age of 13 are not…read moreallowed. This rule is regularly broken and not enforced at all. I just watched a young couple allow their child (maybe age 4-5?) climb all over the lifting racks as they biked (with their back to the child) and/or sat on their phone. They even adjusted the safety racks, j-hooks, and bench so she could climb about more. Didn't reset anything when they were done. I'm glad she didn't fall. Not sure what the point of the rule is if it isn't enforced.

All I see is dusters which is not cleaning the machines. Bathrooms are not kept up. Saunas are not clean either. Not recommended to shower here. When address by front desk, all they say is "ok", nothing happens. Stretch bands no where to be found. When asked, was told by front desk that they are around. Machines are broke, missing pieces to equipment and out of commission for a while so don't expect to have it available. Paper towel machines not on wall correctly for self disinfecting. Keeps opening and falling down, physically not appealing. I will pay more for a membership else where.

Even though I go at peak hours, it's crowded but I can still get on machines with no or minimum wait time. Can't beat the cost. Locker rooms are clean. Machines are clean. Personnel have always been friendly Lots of TVs hanging from the ceiling so I can catch up on news and sports (I don't watch a lot of TV otherwise) Equipment is in good working order. One time I had an Eliptical that had a bit of a drag. I told the front desk and I have never had a problem with that or any piece of equipment. Then again the gym is new. Few things I don't like: *stretch area is too small *a lot of people don't clean machines after they use them but many do. The gym provides spray and paper towels and there are several locations this is offered so there's no excuse. Only once I noticed spray empty. I told the front desk on my way out And the guy filled it very quickly. *they have signs everywhere, "no cell phone use on machines" but people are constantly on their phone. Major pet peeve of mine. It's work out time, not social time. Wish they enforced this more. *wish you could use the hydro table for a fee without black membership. All in all I like this gym and it is a great

I've been a member here for years, there's always been cleanliness and maintenance issues. Today…read morethe sauna was "closed for maintenance" and taped off with masking tape... no maintenance workers in sight. Out of the 8 or so showers, one had a soap dispenser. The carpet for the CrossFit section in the middle of the gym is visually very dirty and needs to be vacuumed. Frustrating, they take your money every month, but usually fail to deliver what is advertised. Hope it gets better. It has to be the leadership and culture, because these aren't insurmountable tasks that we're talking about here.
