I absolutely love O2 Fitness, and a huge reason why is the childcare. As a parent, it's not always…read moreeasy to leave your kids so you can take time for yourself, but Skyla makes it so much easier. My children are always excited to see her, and it's obvious she truly cares about them. She treats them like family, and they absolutely adore her. Knowing my kids are happy, safe, and genuinely cared for gives me the peace of mind to actually enjoy my workout. That's something you can't put a price on. Skyla is incredible at what she does, and she's honestly one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to O2. The gym is lucky to have someone like her, and I would recommend O2 Fitness to any parent looking for a place where both they and their children feel welcomed and cared for.

What I appreciate most is how attentive she is to my physical limitations. She adjusts my workouts whenever needed and always makes sure I'm exercising safely and effectively. Stephanie explains every concept, technique, and movement clearly, which gives me confidence and helps me understand exactly what I'm doing and why. She motivates and inspires me at every session. She knows how to push me just the right amount--never too much, but always enough to help me grow stronger. And she genuinely celebrates my progress with me, which means so much. I highly recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and truly exceptional fitness trainer.

I joined OTF Wake Forest prior to their opening and had some anxiety about whether it would be too…read morehard of a workout for me. I was worried it was going to be like a Crossfit type workout with extreme exercises that would be too much for me. Not the case at all. Sure the first workout was really tough as I hadn't done much more than walking in a long time, but I kept going back and each time it got easier and then I started pushing myself. I'm 52 years old and suffer from migraines. I know what can trigger my migraines and I have learned to listen to my body when it comes to those triggers. I also talk to the coaches about my issues. The coaches at OTF are great and want you to tell them about any orthopedic issues that you may have. I have the Elite membership (8 sessions per month) and workout 2x a week at OTF. If I want to add more I can do so by purchasing individual workouts. I do not have to upgrade to unlimited. My favorite things about OTF: * The class is led by a coach. * Every class is different * I've made so many great new friends * OTFWF is like a family * Class sign up/scheduling is simple using the OTF app * I can see exactly how hard I'm working and how many Calories I burn during each workout. * I can use the OT Beat app for workouts outside of OTF to push myself as hard as I would at the gym and also track my heart rate and calorie burn. I would highly recommend trying OTF to see if it's right for you. Trial workout is free. No strings attached. I've had a few friends try it. The one who literally almost passed out (she didn't eat prior to workout) signed up and is now a beast! She loves it.

Love it here! Super motivating and encouraging trainers! I had to find a new gym a while back and I…read moretried several, but found this one calling me! Thanks Lindsay! You're the one that grabbed my attention!

It's not without a lot of caveats that "grannieyelpie" here is going to guide you through this…read morereview. Because its not all white or black - lot of grey. As you know granne is a Zumba gold fitness intructor with over 10 years of shaking bomboms in Metrowest, MA. Its the Zumba fitness mentality - A BODY IN MOTION STAYS IN MOTION (and you haven't lived until you see an 80+ twerking or rocking perfect squats!). Yea. Grannie is also a lifetime lifter, overweight (have you read my reviews on how much I EAT?! duh), active, and in the professional great company of some of the most recognized international ergonomists, biomechanists, exercise physiologists, academics and inventors. It's what grannie does when she's not stuffing her face somewhere... But I digress. I am a HUGE fan of MOST of the F45 philosphy - functional moving has helped my broken body in ways that I say are short of the best mental and physical therapy I have done through my recovery, but the F45 formula exists for the demographic it serves - the need to be "Kardashian or barbie-like 22-42 year olds with money to spend on looking good, "because heaven forbid I dont", with a very approachable system that is less destructive than cross-fit training. THIS F45 thinks its a cross-fit dig. Now the goodies on Heritage Corner: This facility is clean to a fault! Cleanliness is close to godliness in my book. Very spacious, illuminated, well thought through. The staff... that I experienced during my out of town (and out of body and out of my mind for staying) with trainers that KNOW the F45 model and sell it well. Their locals/regulars are fit and fabulous, music is on point, and dancing allowed. A+ then goes to hell in a handbasket down to a C- (hey at least its not a failing grade. C's get degrees and leaves room for humility... I mean, growth, which I am SURE they will have!). I'm accountable: I have an attitude - I have been broken so many times I am beyond mindful of how I train for myself (with great coaches that have worked with my ergonomics and kinesiology for 2+ years and still going, yielding improvements in strength, muscle mass, balance and pain management - SHOUT OUT TO F45 HUDSON). F45 IS NOT CROSS FIT. BUT THIS F45 things its a cross fit center... I may have violated their precious rule of F45 etiquette reaching (SAFELY AND NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS) equipment that I KNEW I could use to MODIFY to my body... but the gorgeous and insanely stuck up manager (queue real housewies) slapped my snout (cute southern-charm style "bless her heart) - maybe deserved, but she was so focused on HER workout, she didn't bother to assess MY needs as a visitor. After that I was afraid to ask. I had left a bar near where I was going to use it (I got permission from Lindsay), but Mr Milennial "D" put it away before I got there (WT..?). SO forget it. "Get in line girl", YESSIR! (I'm old enough to be his mom!). The stuck-up staff reflects leadership - no surprises there. Sorry "D", but I work with engineers from MIT that are seriously MORE HUMBLE and approachable. Their chip isn't even close to your tone deafness. D is a professional, knows his F45 stuff (ANYONE CAN BE TRAIN ON HOW TO TEACH THE WORKOUT) until he has to deal with someone who doesn't adore on him. During the brief "drive through" interview I told them my comorbidities, only to be started at: 1) on the most challenging 2 minute shoulder drill 2) SHOULDER - IF they had LISTENED, they would have not started me on upper back, shoulder and neck. BAD COACHING! Then as I was gazing PAINFULLY trying to decide to I stay or do I leave, he YELLED OUT like I'm a child (I'm old and not wearing hearing aids yet), where I needed to go. Sorry, but my pain was a warning I didn't heed, and it was drowning out your smugness. MY FAULT that I didn't walk out. I wanted to finish my workout and get my $15 visitor drop in fee worth. BTW, they can give a one day pass. Particularly when my F45 coach/manager had contacted them ahead of time... So ask. If you are 22-42, no injuries and weight to lose, a local resident and not a brat like me AND you don't mind coaches that are in love with themselves and their adoring fans, DONT shy away because my experience was bitter sweet. Get your buns in and get ready to build muscle, endurance and have (MAYBE) a great time while you are at it. ITS NOT CROSSFIT. It should be SAFE, tailoredly intense and delivers. Or try another one (Raleigh?). F45 WORKS. Slowly and overtime you will get results, the results you set yourself up for, and YOU DONT HAVE TO DRINK THEIR KOOL-AID. You can make it work for you! Unfortunately, if this had been my first experience, it would have been my last. I'm an oddball and we just didn't have chemistry (doesn't excuse their "tone deafness"...) Time for me to get off my buns now and go for a walk. I see a poke bowl in my future after the delicious bagel I just scarfed down... more on that here on Yelp! Eating my way through Wake Forest!

CrossFit Full Armor is 5star. The purpose of any crossfit gym is to "prepare the body for any…read morephysical challenge, improving everything from endurance to overall strength and agility". CrossFit Full Armor does all this while also building off core principles of the Christian faith. The ultimate combination of true personal progress. I can't compliment enough about this gym and the people that comprise it. I have been out of crossfit and consistent lifting for 4 years and decided to get back in shape. From the minute I walked in to see if CrossFit Full Armor was a good fit, I felt greeted and welcomed, and received first class training based on where I was at fitness-wise. I was given a clear path to where I want to go and how to get there. Eric is a top tier trainer and coach and I value his genuine positivity, encouragement and ability to lead a class while providing one-on-one personalized pointers. Case and point, I got several stitches in my shoulder blade and wrote off being able to complete classes for fear of ripping my stitches. Instead, Eric texted stating that he could construct a workout that would focus on alternate muscle groups not impacting my shoulder and putting my stitches at risk of tearing. It meant a lot to me that Eric was invested in my personal fitness goals and willing to find a creative solution to the setback/handicap. The gym has a wide range of equipment, stations and provides all the amenities needed to have a full and well-rounded intensive workout. The class sizes are ideal, and you never feel like just a number. As a father of 2 young children, I really appreciate how open and encouraging the gym is to parents who are trying to be their best. There is a mezzanine in the gym that's set up to host children whose parents are working out - complete with books, toys and couches. My daughter has already enjoyed this area and the views from above watching the workout. Talk about great role modelling and teaching the importance of physical health, fitness and pushing yourself to achieve your potential. All in all, I couldn't be more thankful for such a gym and awesome faith-based community. No matter how hard the workout is I always leave feeling boosted from a fitness and overall positive mindset. Thankful to be a member of CrossFit Full Armor.
