Was introduced to Certus Crossfit by my brother who was already a member. I was initially intimidated by "crossfit" as a whole, but was looking for a new fitness routine. I soon realized that any one no matter your age or fitness level can do crossfit .... I started at 46! Every movement can be tailored to meet you at your fitness level. With the help of the supportive coaches and "good job" fist bumps from the other members, workouts at Certus quickly became something that I looked forward to and have now become part of my daily routine. I've met some really great people who have become friends not only inside of the gym, but outside of the gym as well. The programing is great, the coaches are knowledgeable and helpful. Equipment is in good shape and is repaired or replaced when necessary. Air conditioning in the hot summer months and nice locker rooms with showers.

I attended my first FitnessSocial KB workout shortly after purchasing a one month pass for my sister in September 2023. She fell in love with this gym and the great people there and has been attending ever since. I have taken a few classes and attended their special events. When she started leading a KB/TRX workout on Monday nights in November I have begun attending weekly or twice weekly. This is really a nice gym, clean, organized and everyone is friendly. The classes are not crowded and you receive individulized instruction and positive encouragement during each class. They offer more than just KB and TRX and host lots of great events. There are also spa services available on site. Their instagram is updated daily. Great location as well!

Such great enthusiasm and is great at catching bad habits and correcting your form in a positive and constructive way. This place is great for newbies to CrossFit as well as experienced members. If you've ever been curious about CrossFit and want to try it out, come here and you'll be hooked. They're three months old (at the time of this review) so they still need to get a few more things (more resistance bands, lacrosse balls) for mobility work, but aside from that, I can't wait to come back to Fresno and work out here again!

And that is due to the hard work of the owner, Jon, who fostered a community of love, acceptance, hard work, and laughter. This attracted a group of wonderful people who I'm proud to call friends. They helped me move on from water polo and swim and learn how to work out for me. I lost 25lbs in one year and got back to feeling like myself - well actually a more confident version of myself. I moved to Bakersfield for work and every gym I try here just reminds me how special Iron Buffalo is. When I started with them I felt so welcomed. In other gyms (Fresno, Clovis, Bakersfield, etc) I've had to go out of my way to figure things out and get to know people. But I loved how at Iron Buffalo the coaches and members go out of their way to make the new person feel welcome. They asked me questions and helped me when I was lost. I remember in the beginning I struggled to make it to one class a week, but what started to motivate me was the conversations and laughter I would have with everyone. That's what got me going more and more. They have created something truly beautiful. I hope that one day my path will lead me back to Fresno, but if not I'll definitely be dropping in when I can.
