The gym has numerous tennis courts, racquetball courts, an indoor basketball court, a heated outdoor Olympic pool, a jacuzzi, saunas, AND towel service! The free-weights area doesn't get as crowded compared to other gyms and there's also a really cool outdoor adult playground for folks to focus on calisthenics. I love the vibe of this gym, the locker rooms are clean, and they have an awesome schedule of classes. (The water aerobics class on weekday mornings is the best for folks looking for mobility workouts.) They'll also occasionally have sports tournaments available for you to sign-up for, as well as Wellness events throughout the month. Don't forget to sign-up for the Fit Club on your app, which gives you points for being active (ie every time you check-in to the gym) that you can redeem for prizes!

They are NEVER put in their place. This just confirms people aren't doing their jobs. The night shift isn't putting weights away. The morning shift isn't verifying weights are in their place. Judging from the fact that this state of being has persisted for at least a year, managers don't seem to care, or they're simply incompetent. I don't have time to spend 30 minutes looking for weights when I should be working out. Additionally, over half of the barbells are bent. That's right. Bent. What kind of crap quality equipment is being purchased? And cable machines? Those are rarely smooth. With all that poor quality, monthly rates continue to increase. Sure, the place does not look fancy like other martial arts studio, but we're here to learn self-defense, not look pretty in a Gi. There are many senior black belts who are helpful and knowledgable. Best of all is Kyoshi Sid Rayford. He has a great sense of humor, which is complimented by his caring wife Renshi Amy. Their experiences includes teaching special needs, former teacher for Le Grand High School, teaching home-school students and much much more. You know it's the real deal when you spar with Kyoshi and try to kick him. Rather than advancing your moves, you ponder why does your shin hurt so much?! His bones are super calcified, a sign of a great master. Did I mention that you have the opportunity to learn weapons/kobudo: Tonfas, Jigen-Ryu style swordship, Sais and Bo Staff.
