If there is a staff member on the floor they are putting back equipment that is left everywhere by lazy gym members. My only annoyance is the turnaround time on repairs. My husband uses the punch bag and we wish they would just replace the all the bolts with steel so it's wasn't removed every few weeks. The machines are usually repaired quickly. This location is very busy, so so of it is understandable.

The gym is experiencing a water outage because of construction going on nearby. No water fountains…read moreworking, but they are making a killing by still charging for their waters instead of providing them to their members. This isn't the best gym, but I still come sometimes because it's cheap and has decent equipment for chest day. Not only is the water not working and they are charging full price for their bottles of water, but their chest press that I came to use is also broken... again. Drove 40 minutes round trip to get here, but now I'm leaving after just getting here to see this disaster. Over crowded gym that you have to wait for equipment every single workout. Only benefit is that it's cheap.

The outdoor splash park is great for kids but the lifeguards on duty need to take their job more serious seeing as there are littles everywhere in the water. 2 lifeguards kept flirting and talking about personal things like parties after work and how the guy wanted to see the girl lifeguard go up the slide so she can have fun. All while she used the red guard pad as a sword to play fight with him. All the while kids were running in the shallow part of the water in front of them and they said nothing. Maybe I expect too much out of lifeguards....‍

There is a limited membership to each location. Its cozy and smaller. It's open 24/7. All of these factors resolved my issues with other gyms. My initial sit down assessment with Aidan was included in my package. He was the first trainer that could explain my extreme fatigue during my workouts and told me some simple tips I incorporated in my own workout by myself and it made a huge difference. He was very knowledgeable about explaining how he can move forward with my concerns and goals. On my assessment I had a body scan to see where my percentages were. Looking forward to working out here more often!!

I initially started with their highest membership to have access to tanning and because I go back home to CA from time to time, figured I could use it while I travel, too! The Crunch by my old home in CA is the one of few locations I guess that does not honor this membership I had and had to pay out of pocket (not a ding against this location) so when I got back to NC I downgraded my membership to the basic plan (I also have a membership to Palm Beach Tan so I didnt need their tanning - this location only had stand up beds?). There was a charge to downgrade my membership which was odd but not worried about it.. anyways - they have squat racks that LINE the back wall of the gym, maybe a trillion treadmills, stairmasters and ellipticals which makes getting on one during the 5PM after work rush never an issue! On top of the stairmaster, you can overlook the sea of machines! Some OG machines and new ones that will count your reps! Honestly a huge plus to have more than one or two of a machine.. This location has two SEPARATE rooms for cycling and group classes IN ADDITION to the HIIT/personal-group training designated area! The layout is amazing and feels like this location has literally everything you need and more - aside from a reverse hyper lol! And if this all hasn't sold it for you already... the locker rooms have saunas saunas are CLEAN and odorless which I personally think it amazing. Womens locker room have a TON of lockers of different sizes (bring your own lock - this isnt Lifetime Fitness) and changing rooms and showers! And not to mention the giant selfie mirror!! I know its not what its intended use is, but Id be lying if I said thats not its designated purpose is. Always so happy with this location!! Thanks University team for keeping an amazing gym so clean and easy to always come back to!
