This studio offers a really challenging hiit circuit type workout. Im in my 50s, and it took me a…read morefew months to get acclimated but my body already feels and looks stronger. I can push it hard or go easy depending on what else I'm doing, instructors give clear instructions and alternatives. At this point I'm starting to learn more of the exercises so It's not cognitive overload trying to remember everything at the beginning of the session. They always helped me out, but it feels good to just relax into the workout. So, give this a try and give it a few months. Only wishes are: 1) the mat smell can sometimes be overwhelming, not sure what to do about that. 2) they only offer 5 lbs weights and 10 lb dumbbells on the racks. As a woman (lots of us here!) it would be so much better to have some 7s or 8s because I always have to choose too low or too heavy. 3) No real community, but it's dark and loud so you can't really carry a convo inside. Dark and loud is great for concentrating on the exercise though so it is what it is. The coaches are phenomenal and get me to work harder than I ever would on my own and I am "forced" to do a cardio circuit which is my least fav and also getting easier. Yay renegade. Also, and people have mentioned this in other reviews: everyone is ripped here and I frequently see instructors in my classes so while I'm sure folks do other things too, I think this workout really gets results if you show up and push hard.

Gabby instructor is awesome! My first class today and she helped give me a lot of instructions and…read moremake sure I knew what to do. This is my first experience at a class gym like this where small sets of groups do different exercises and rotate across the gym equiptment. This is much morn fun than lifting weights alone!! Highly recommend

PLEASE READ this before you decide to join California Elite Training Centre. I have a lot to say…read moreabout this gym. People are afraid to speak up about it because of the fraud "Gracie V" whom may be seen as the owner when in actuality she has not paid a single cent towards this gym. Firstly, if you are Female I highly advise you do not train here. You think 24hr fitness is bad? You will be stared at and treated like a piece of meat at CETC. The gym is widely known for there DCS pack and DCS (decide, commit, succeed) mentality. This pack is a cult. If you are not doing the DCS programming which is a cookie cutter conjugate program, or you so decide to stop doing it don't be surprised if Gracie tries to throw you out of the gym or Gracie, CEC staff and DCS pack members treat you with hostility. If you have heard about the "great atmosphere" of the gym I can assure you its from the DCS pack who all train together and all mimic Gracie's aggressive, over dramatic style. Furthermore, those who praise the DCS programming or so think that they've added so many lbs to there total are those who have never tried a different program before. It is easy to get stronger, when you have never tried to get strong before. The successful athletes at this gym, are those who do not use the DCS programming, however Gracie uses them to attract more members when in reality they are some of the few dedicated athletes following good programming. PLUS, those few athletes are given FREE membership. Don't fool yourself thinking they willingly train there. This gym is known to have world renowned equipment, however they do not have competition equipment, there benches are soft and keep breaking and most of there bars are damaged. There are many other powerlifting gyms in San Diego that have better equipment and a better atmosphere and i urge you go to elsewhere before wasting your time here, don't associate yourself with this gym or Gracie if you want to go far in the sport. You will only be hindering yourselves.

Love coming to this gym. It has the best equipment and I just wish I could come every day! But…read moreunfortunately I live 2 hours away. That doesn't stop me from trying to get here as often as I can!! I started training with Gracie about 6 months ago and it's been great! She has worked with my injuries and taught me how to properly lift! I love love love it here!!

When I first signed up for 24H Fitness Spring 2022, I was going here the 1st few months but started…read moregoing to UTC and Rancho Penasquitos more after and didn't return here until the remodel a few months ago. Originally why I stopped coming was due to how crowded and unorganized it was which was such a deterrent! After the recent remodel with up to 18-20 Squat Racks, additional benches/dumbbells, and more Leg Machines, I started coming here over my favored UTC, but now that UTC downgraded from 11 Racks to 6 and removed the outdoor area in favor of potential Pickleball Courts I will not be going back unless they can bring back what they had before or even better as it's not a great place to go anymore for a Powerbuilding workout. For a Push Pull Leg workout between 3-5 days a week Balboa really hits better now and my only gripes are if they had more of the nice water bottle refill stations and cleaned the bathroom more since people come in from the pool and leave the ground wet, but the plumbing and cleanliness here is still better than at UTC which seemed to not make any changes on that front. If the dumbbells were organized as well that would be great but I can see how hard it is to manage. Overall this is my new home for now and definitely would recommend as it's not as seemingly as crowded before with more equipment availability. 3 stars but I would put 4 if the place itself was more organized and bathroom was always clean and dry!

This happened two weeks ago and since 24 fitness failed to reply to my Instagram message I'm…read moreposting it here. To: General Manager Namon I am writing to formally bring to your attention persistent issues regarding the performance and professional conduct of the late-night staff member Isiah. The African American employee who rides a motorcycle. During his shifts, he consistently fails to answer the facility telephone. When I personally told him the pool was overflowing, he was on his cellular phone and dismissed the inquiry by stating, "I'm on a phone." I strongly recommend a review of the CCTV footage, as it appears he remains largely idle throughout his shift. He refuses to talk to members unless it's an attractive female which he will talk to them for awhile. Last night, a notable incident occurred when the pool overflowed. Despite multiple members, including myself, alerting him to the situation, he responded by stating it was not his problem. I have previously contacted corporate regarding his conduct without resolution; however, his continued lack of initiative is concerning. His general attitude and lack of engagement are unprofessional. He routinely prepares to depart by putting on his motorcycle helmet approximately 20 minutes before his shift ends, which is unacceptable. My primary concern is that he will fail to respond during a genuine emergency. Attached are photographs of the pool area documenting the neglect from last night. I trust you will address this matter to ensure the facility is staffed by individuals committed to their responsibilities. I also wanted to add he continuously wears racist, inappropriate, political hoodies that read not strong vulgar messages on the back. The text on the back of the hoodie is a play on words that combines contemporary conversations around gender identity with a tough, aggressive, or protective persona. It reads: "I IDENTIFY AS A THREAT. MY PRONOUNS ARE TRY / ME." Meaning and Signification Subversion of Identity Language: It utilizes the standard linguistic framework of stating gender identity and preferred pronouns ("I identify as...", "My pronouns are...") and replaces them with words meant to project strength, defiance, or danger. A "Tough Guy" or Defensive Persona: The phrase "Try me" is a common idiom used as a challenge or a warning to others not to test a person's limits, patience, or physical capability. By framing "Try" and "Me" as pronouns, the wearer is signaling that their core identity is centered around being someone who should not be messed with. I have tried to complain to management via Instagram messager and have not received any replies.
