Came in to drop off my jeep on 6/24/2024 and was met outside by the assistant manager, which advised me that the business owner decided to close down the business. I've put in a fraud claim with my bank. So now it's just a waiting game. Here I am thinking that I'd help a local business owner instead of a big box store business. I can only pray that I get my money back. And unfortunately my big city wall has gone up again. Sometimes giving local businesses a chance is just not worth it. All it took was one bad apple to spoil the orchard.

I recently took my Jeep grand Cherokee to get the trunk button fixed. From the moment I called until I picked up my car, I had a great experience with Gerard's. I initially spoke with Frank and then Brian took care of me throughout the process. You can tell that they value their work even down to the waiting area inside the shop. There were freshly baked cookies and everything was very neat and clean. I feel like you don't often see that in automotive shops. They accommodated me quickly and were able to solve the problem with my trunk and I am so happy that's it's fixed. Have been taking my vehicles to BR Oil Change for 2+ years, but won't be going back. They have made…read moreseveral errors, one costing me $800 to fix. First incident was summer of '23. While traveling on a road trip we needed an oil change in KY. It took them 20 minutes to get the oil filter off, they said it was over-torqued. Next up, took the SUV in and during the oil change, they over-filled the engine and it poured out all over the engine compartment. They apologised and wiped up around the engine. But on the next scheduled change they said the engine pan, front and rear seals were leaking, and sold me a quart of stop-leak. But then later I thought it could just be oil that didn't get wiped up from when they spilled it the time before. Anyway, checked the SUV oil consumption, sure enough it was leaking or burning off 1 quart every 200 miles. Took it in to my mechanic and they found the leak at the valve covers. My mechanic is very good, he says it's possible the overfill caused the leak due to high pressure if overfilled. Took my repair bill back to BROC and they said they never would have let my SUV out of the shop over-filled and denied me any compensation, not even a free change. So, "nothing they can do"! 'Bye bye, Blue Ridge Oil Change'!

I was vacationing in the area and had a cooling fan go bad on my car. Having some car repair…read moreexperience I could figure out what was wrong. Trying to get the car in the local Chrysler dealership, Jacky Jones Chrysler, proved to be a fruitless effort. (If interested see my review of the dealership) Being from out of town and this being my first trip to the area I had no idea where to take my car. Who do you trust in this situation, let alone your own home town? I found myself in a very frustrating predicament. At the local McDonalds, I sat with my phone trying to find another Chrysler dealer. The closest one was 3 hours away. Great. I approached a gentleman close to my table and inquired about an honest mechanic. He quickly recommended someone and even drove me to the garage. As I approached the garage I was quite hesitant. Several cars sat around in disrepair, there was even the resemblance of a salvage yard next to the building. Ok, how is this going to workout I thought. I followed my guide inside the shop. He introduced me to the mechanic Jason Belcher. He was very nice. I left my car and Jason had it done by noon the next day,And yes it was the fan motor. Needless to say the rest of my time in the area was pleasant, not having to worry about where to get my car fixed. A special thanks to Jason and the stranger for going above and beyond.
