Attended an non-profit event at the Cross Creek Ranch. The catering that day was BBQ. The food was pretty good for catered BBQ in my opinion, but nothing I'd rave about. The staff was kind and very attentive! The venue itself was cute. The main space was huge, and can easily fit a large corporate event/wedding/private event. There is also a large outside area for outdoor ceremonies or parties. Outside of the main building, there is a pond in between the building and the parking lot. There were lots of critters and frogs screaming in my ear during the evening when the sun set. read more

They truly handled almost everything from setuo/takedown, decorations and a great list of vendors they work with on a regular basis. DJ Chris Brown performed well. Working with Crystal, Heather, and Katie was a dream-- they were so communicative, so helpful, and had so many great ideas when I wasn't sure if something would work or look how I wanted it to. From menu choices to activities to floral, centerpieces, aisle dressing etc. they had it all depending on your budget! They encouraged us to be 100% open and honest about how much we were willing to spend on our day, and they had so many beautiful options to work with all different kinds of budgets. They often run specials and deals for the last few days available in various months, as well as their prices accurately and fairly reflecting the busy wedding seasons. To say CCR was amazing is an understatement! They went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding day! I honestly don't know how brides plan weddings at venues that aren't all-inclusive. Having florals, catering, bartending, decor, and a wedding consultant all provided by CCR made the process easy and less stressful. Let's face it, it's one of the biggest days of your life so there's going to be stress. So here's my tip for you brides out there: Let CCR take off some of that stress for you! They will not disappoint!! Shout out to Crystal!! From day one when we visited the venue she made us feel comfortable. Her personality made it easy to talk to her and her expertise had us at ease, with excitement to take on this next chapter of our lives. Anytime we had questions or concerns, we could call or email and someone from the team would reply same day, within reason. I had pieced visions of what I wanted for certain aspects of our wedding but I wasn't sure how everything would tie in together. Especially since I couldn't find pictures of what I wanted. I don't know how Crystal did it, but she took all my bits and pieces and just knew what I was trying to accomplish AND THEN made it 100x better! The venue was gorgeous: just beautifully coated with the perfect arrangement of winter greenery and florals, custom garland, centerpieces, and decor. It was more than I could have ever dreamed of! They were flexible with the weather. Prepared to take it indoors, if needed, and they did a great job at playing it by ear with the guests as the weather started to get colder. We did the chicken and steak dinner and it was delicious!! Our leftover passed Hors D'oeuvre we're brought in for the reception and beautifully placed. CCR had easels/stands for our favors, signs, and guest book and memory tables. That alone made it so much easier than needing to haul that stuff in. I can't gush about Cross Creek Ranch enough. They really know what they are doing. They take care of almost everything for you, so we got to the venue day-of and felt completely comfortable knowing that everything was ready and would run smoothly. It was absolutely gorgeous. They even made a special effort to find and include two types of flowers that my husband gave me on our second date. We elected to have our ceremony and reception outside and it was so perfect. Heather was our coordinator for the day and she was so amazing. Heather and Crystal both made us feel so special and heard during the planning process. They provide an all-inclusive venue, which helps greatly. The planning process is so simple. They provide you a cheat sheet and all you have to do is answer a few questions and bring pictures of your dream day and they make it happen! For my day of coordinator, I had Heather. Heather made sure that my day went as smooth as possible, had food ready for my now husband and I, and was willing to help with anything she could. Seriously, planning every tiny detail of a wedding never appealed to me, the thought of multiple vendors and a planner etc etc was so overwhelming I put off the wedding for years! Then I came across Cross Creek Ranch and I loved the idea of an all inclusive venue. They literally made this SO easy and seamless- we had one planning meeting to pick out details and that took maybe an hour. Heather and Crystal are top notch at what they do! They went above and beyond at every turn and were always quick to respond when I had questions leading up to the big day. Crystal was my day of coordinator and YALL... when I say she is a rockstar, I mean it in every sense of the word! She not only made sure everyone stayed on schedule and things moved along smoothly, she also made sure I had a plate of what food I wanted along with what I wanted to drink already at my table when we made our entrance into the reception. My bustle on my dress broke and she was there to save me- literally went back into her office and made a make shift bustle with safety pins so I was still able to dance all night without anymore wardrobe malfunctions. As other reviewers have noted, this venue has abysmal service and an incredibly narcissistic owner. We booked this venue in Jan. 2020 for my daughter's Quinceañera shortly before the entire country went into COVID lockdown. My daughter's party was scheduled for July, when COVID restrictions were at their height. The owner refused to listen to any rescheduling requests. I wasn't asking for my thousand-dollar+ deposit back, I simply asked to reschedule since our guests couldn't travel and/or were immune compromised, including my nephew who has cerebral palsy. Despite that she was receiving financial reprieve from the government, she offered no rescheduling options and demanded we move forward with the party. She also sent us threatening messages demanding full payment, despite that we couldn't proceed with the event. Needless to say, she didn't refund our deposit (which wasn't expected, all I asked was to reschedule given the global lockdowns we were facing). Who knows how many other deposits she pocketed, in addition to pocketing the financial govt. kickbacks. I would not recommend this venue, and especially it's owner who is completely devoid of common human decency, to anyone. read more

Their advice and suggestions on decorations and wedding day tips is really what made our wedding. They were quick to answer any questions we had and tend to our needs. Our flower arrangements and decor around the venue was GORGEOUS and more than we expected! Crystal was extremely attentive on our wedding day and literally solved any issue we ran into. My company rented out this place for their Christmas party. The venue is somewhat hard to find and at night, they didn't light up the place so it's kind of like driving into a dark pit. Once you're inside, it's rustic and western. The place isn't too shabby but DON'T get them to cater your event! Their food was awful! We had a choice of prime rib or pork loin, both of which were over cooked and very dry. For dessert, it was pumpkin pie or pecan pie, which i'm pretty sure came from Costco. What stands out most in my mind was the really bad service from the catering staff. They were rude and snappy; when i asked what kind of sauce came with the pork loin and prime rib, both of the girls rolled their eyes - um, sorry if you think i'm overstepping my boundaries by asking you questions about the food! i'm not sure why my company paid to rent this place out, but i'm sure its pretty affordable. read more

Flew over from out of town to serve as a bridesmaid for a wedding taking place at this venue. Talk about "southern hospitality", this place had none of it, much less any customer service. To come down here and see the staff more miserable and unwelcoming than the average homeless person living in my city is not acceptable for a wedding venue or any sort of client-base service for that matter. The staff ranging from the coordinators to the ones serving the food and beverages need to be reminded that they are working for a joyous occasion and it is their job to put on at least a decent face for it and most of all, be of assistance and be able to contribute to a smooth sailing of an event. Which was not the case for this venue. Maybe our wedding party caught them on a bad day but this is a service-oriented industry, if they are not prepare to meet demands of it consistently, they should take a step back and save their sour faces and attitudes for their own time. YA'LL!! i'm determined to make my husband renew his vows to me at our ten year anniversary, just so I can have a wedding event at this adorable venue. HELLO TEXAS WEDDINGS! This is CUTEST, MOST ADORABLE place to host your wedding, pretty much ever I assume! You start by parking your car under a plethora of white bulbous twinkle lights, make your way across a super cute twinkle lit foot bridge and then you are in what would be the outdoor part of the venue. Think simple, wooden and farm like. (right up my alley, probably why I am so obsessed!) Cute little bar area, wide open floor for tables and chairs, and dance floor... and in the distance, out in the country field, are billowing little white curtains that make an altar for the bride and groom to be married on, along with tons of sweet little white chairs set in two sections making an aisle way. OH MY GOD ITS SO CUTE, I WANT TO CRY! ALSO, because it was November, there were adorable pumpkins, gourds and mums every where!! Also, a cute old fashioned swing set... DAWWW Alas, it was cold this day, so from what I assume the bride had decided to have both areas set to be married, inside and out, and chose to be inside at the last minute because of the chill. The inside was just as great as the outside. Set up in a very similar manner with the white chairs, handmade aisle way, simple altar area, etc. The building itself is a type of barn structure, with wooden and tin ceilings, twinkle lights strung everywhere, big old barn doors, candle light, a raised stage for the DJ. This was a wedding for my husband's coworker, and I didn't really know anyone, so I had a really great time drinking my Shiner and admiring all the cute and quaint things that make this venue just lovely. The staff at CCR seemed really on top of things, kept things moving but kept things simple. Nothing seemed uptight or stressed, and you could tell the Bride and Groom were really enjoying themselves! It seemed (again I can't be held to this, because I don't personally know the bride or groom!) That this is a venue where you bring in your caterer, cake person, DJ/Emcee, booze, as your own choice and just rent the venue and then use the employees of CCR to help organize your wedding (like the order of the bridesmaids, when events happen and such) Maybe more like a wedding coordinator than a wedding planner?? We looked at multiple venues and were even about to put a deposit down on a different one when we decided to check out CCR - thank goodness we did this! We immediately fell in love and booked the venue that day. Katie, Crystal and Heather are AMAZING! They are the most friendly, fun, loving, kind, professional, knowledgeable people out there. I had a million questions throughout the process and they always answered in a very timely and professional manner. The team has incredible service - they became our family throughout our 8 months of engagement. CCR is an all-inclusive venue with amazing prices. We had our wedding at this venue, and it seemed to be all good until everything that could be the worst scenario happened to us. We were incredibly hurt when we found out that thousands of dollars were stolen from us at our own wedding. Of course we contacted Cross Creek Ranch, and they told us they had no cameras and to look in our stuff. They did not help us at all at with this situation, and they made it seem like we had somehow lost it when we only had one box where it could be. Why would a venue like this have no cameras? It was also even more devastating because one of the gifts was from my husbands grandma who passed away, and now we will never see the hand written card and gift she gave us for our special day. Not to mention there was an officer there, and I don't understand why because he was on his phone the entire time. It gets worse from here because one of the ladies who works at this location, her name is Crystal, was extremely rude to my mother in law and several of the people in the wedding party. The way they were treated really hurt me. They asked for help for a small task, and she told them to "Do it themselves". We worked super hard to pay for this wedding, and we expect at least a little bit of help and respect from the staff there. If you decide to use this venue, make sure any card box you have is completely glued shut because stuff like this can be devastating. Also, don't expect them to treat you very well after you pay because I have never had my family treated like this before. But we looked at a place in McKinney that had a nice rustic building for a good price, but their grounds were really ho-hum. These guys had a pretty, rustic building for a good price AND picturesque grounds surrounding the building. This made the overall experience awesome for our friends. LOVE their bridge entrance, btw. Food...awesome. Staff....awesome. Directions/ease of finding it...great. Parking...great. Comfort of the facilities...great. Visual appeal of the grounds....awesome. Pre-planning....all great. It's a laid back country place that was perfect for us, love the staff and venue and will recommend to anyone!! I am in the process of planning a celebration for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary in Dallas, TX (we currently live in Arizona). After researching this venue online, I decided to fly from Phoenix to Dallas over the weekend in order to see this place in person. I had fallen in love with this venue from the moment I saw the pictures online so I was hoping to book the venue when I arrived! Upon arrival, I was happy to see the pictures online were not deceiving. It was beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned for my parent's celebration. However, once arriving, I was shocked at how unprofessional I was treated. Not only did they just assume I was there to book a wedding, the woman didn't even bother to ask me any questions about my event (including size, budget, etc), no tour was provided and all she seemed concerned with was giving me a price sheet that was NOT readily available. Once she knew I was not there to plan my wedding but an anniversary celebration, she seemed even less interested in helping me and kept referring to a lower cost option pricing sheets. Considering she never asked me my budget, how did she know I wanted lower cost options! The most disappointing moment was when the girl told me to hurry up and book because "money talks". I am so sad that I flew to Dallas to look at this venue first as my visit lasted only 20 minutes and it was just a pricing list. I ended up dropping in at different places in the Dallas area and the consultants were so attentive and detailed. They made me feel important and that they would help make my celebration amazing! I am glad I looked around and did not let this experience at this venue ruin my day! WARNING: The toliets flush so loud it is as if the toilet has a surround sound hooked up to them so if you book this venue and anyone needs to make an announcement during your event, make sure no one is using the bathroom!! read more

Our daughter and her husband recently held their wedding reception at Cross Creek and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. The gals were just wonderful - from our first meeting to the follow meetings to the actual reception. everything was just perfect. We received so many lovely compliments from our guests. The venue looked beautiful and the food was wonderful. I too am surprised at some of the negative comments - our level of service was exceptional. As the mother of the bride and among the first to arrive at the reception they immediately attended to me personally and made sure that I had everything I needed and that I was pleased with the venue. The staff was friendly and engaged with all of the guests as they arrived. My only one very small comment for improvement would be that the passed appetizers were not hot and they should have been. They tasted good but could have been served a bit warmer. But that's it - everything else was absolutely perfect and everyone had a wonderful time dancing until the very last minute. I had the most amazing experience for my wedding! Jaime (owner/coordinator) and Heather (coordinator) made the stress of planning a wedding almost stress free!!!! Let me start this by saying - YOU. NEED. TO. BOOK. THIS. VENUE!! We got married at Cross Creek Ranch in September 2017 and the staff and venue exceeded our expectations, time after time!! From the first meeting, to the event meeting (and a follow up due to my indecisiveness), to the rehearsal, and our magical day of - the staff was incredible and made sure we were taken care of and happy 110% of the time. I worked mainly with Crystal - and she is a doll and so fun to work with!! She has great insight and ideas, and worked so hard to make our day exactly like I had described to her. Seriously, all of the staff was a joy to work with, and they never seemed bothered by my millions of questions and emails - they always provided me quick, kind, and helpful replies. I can't say enough about the staff! And y'all - the venue is just BEAUTIFUL!! From the newly redone ceremony site, to the pretty bridal suite, to all of the outdoor nooks and crannies - fire pit, lawn, swings, ivy covered awnings, the bridge, all of the gorgeous trees... and of course the reception hall - the entire location is just to die for!!! All of our wedding photos are just beautiful with the gorgeous backdrop of Cross Creek Ranch! They did such a great job on all of our floral, too!! The centerpieces, altar and aisle floral was top notch!! Did you know they also set up and clean up, AND provide a day of wedding coordinator??! Pretty sure those negative reviews are fake... I can't believe anyone would not have a great experience at this place! I recently had my wedding reception there and it was perfect! We had several meetings prior to the event to go over the schedule, decorations, etc. Everyone we met with was so nice and more than willing to answer any questions we had, even when they were busy. They helped me get the decorations exactly how I wanted them and even let me do extra floral in part of the room they normally don't. They also had lots of great advice for how to keep the night running smoothly. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful. All of the guests had a great time and gave so many compliments about the staff and space itself. My husband and I would have been lost without our coordinator that night! Whenever it was time for a new event like the cake cutting or bouquet toss she let us know and kept everything right on schedule! My mother and husband still talk about how sweet she was.
