Cross Country Cycle is one of the last places in the world where you can get this kind of service. the moment I walked in and met the owner, she asked if she could put her hands on my shoulders. She took one look at me and said, that's gotta hurt. She looked at my current set up, and caught something I had never thought of in my entire life. Having a stem that is very short, so you have a very short reach, raised at a severe angle, which gives you much better rise, so you can sit almost riding up or leaning back backwards, which is virtually impossible on a road bike. She somehow figured out a way to do it. The items she had in stock blew me away. I was so amazed; I've never seen anyone so good at fitting. The system she uses is excellent and it's not just the system, because most guys that I know who have done fittings have been done by another guy. She just had a special touch, above and beyond using the electronics in the dots. It was so amazing. I can't even begin to tell you. read more

They quoted a rental rate in morning but refused to honor it. Very disappointing . Nice guy at counter helped us but a faceless person refused to do what was promised. read more

everything was great. The selection, the service and expertise of the staff was amazing.

This bike shop had outstanding customer service! Laura worked hard to accommodate our needs. We will definitely be utilizing their rentals in the future! read more

Awesome bike shop! If you need anything Specialized this is where you'll find it! Including fit, possibly the most important!!

Wonderful customer service! Thank you, Laura! (And more typing because Yelp wants more characters )

What an amazing shop with such incredible people. My friends and I rented fat bikes from Cross Country Cycles are were blown away by how helpful the staff here are. Laura made sure we all had great saddles and that our bikes were set up just right! Fast forward to several months later, I found myself with a mechanical issues while at Barry Roubaix and basically panic called Laura who helped me solve the issue and she made me feel very confident that my race wouldn't be ruined. She even offered to have someone bring me a bike if mine was out of commission. She is a literal saint! read more

Laura, Dana, and her team at Cross Country Cycle are fabulous, knowledgeable, humble, and funny humans/bike people. It was a pleasurable experience all-around, from the bike browsing to the fitting. I never once felt like I was the novice cyclist I am. I learned so much and am motivated to keep learning, riding, and having fun! read more

Cross Country Cycle - Bikes Near Me - Holland, Michigan

We came in last minute and set up a rental of 4 high demand electric assist bikes for the next morning. All staff where very helpful in pointing out paths/routes around Holland. They really have a passion for bikes and genuinely want to ensure customer satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone visiting looking for rentals or anyone looking to purchase. A great find on vacation. read more

Great service and awesome inventory when no one had any!! Loving my "Specialized" gravel bike!!

Was in a little bit of a pickle for our 30th wedding anniversary. The bike that our shop built up for my wife worked great in my mind. Not so much for my wife. No worries - this family run shop had plenty of options and we ended up on a real cool Norco - Linda went from Lyfted home and me ghost riding the bike back 3.5 miles to 15 mile round trip beach run and we're going back for sunset. Thanks for the great service, cool shop and cool shop dog. Ride on, Eric & Linda Puetz read more

These guys are awesome! We are from Chicago, and stopped in here on Saturday morning to rent bikes. Dave spent a good amount of time with us and making sure we had bikes that fit and met our needs. We were planning to rent aluminum bikes since they are less expensive, but a carbon bike fit me better, so they gave it to us for the aluminum price, which was really great of them to do. Dave was clearly super knowledgable, and very nice. The bikes were awesome, and super reasonably priced. They had maps at the store and great recs as to where we should spend the day. We were late getting back to the store, and they were so nice and stayed opened just for us so we could return the bikes. We will be coming back here again!! read more

If you own or want to own a Specialized Bicycle, this is a great place to go, especially if you want or need someone to service and maintain your bike. These people know their stuff when it comes to servicing these bicycles. I had a difficult issue with my Mountain Bike and they were the ones to properly diagnosed and solved the root cause of the recurring problem on my drivetrain. I only wish I had purchased my Specialized Mountain Bike here in the first place, they likely could have saved me both time and money as well as prevented me some stressful times... After all, I Mountain Bike to relieve stress! When my wife wanted a Fat Tire Bike they were able to find a great bike for my her also, and they perfectly fit the bike to her while we were there. read more

No masks, and terrible customer service would not go back ever. This has been my third time there and they are a bunch of assholes

Absolutely loved my experience with Cross Country Cycle. Laura, Victory and Nate were all great to work with and they took their time with me to make sure the sizing was perfect. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great buying experience. read more

We were visiting from out of town, staying in Grand Rapids, and called on July 3rd to rent some basic bikes for the 4th. Laura was wonderful on the phone and let us know we could pick up bikes on the 3rd since they were closed on the 4th. The family was so welcoming, professional and quick. We were in and out in 10 minutes. When it was time to return the bikes on the 4th, Laura gave us permission to lock up the bikes in the bike rack in front of the store. We sent them a text to confirm we had done so. The whole process was wonderful, and I highly recommend renting from them. If we lived in the area, I would definitely be back to buy a bike or have a bike repair. Wonderful people! read more

Just the best! Rented a tandem bike with my girlfriend. Dana was amazing on the phone to help accommodate what we were looking for. Got there and worked with Laura who is the owner and she was very helpful. Went on the 13 mile loop that went to Tunnel Park and couldn't make it past the halfway mark. 87°, two old broad 's. Not really, but we're in our 50s. Anyways, Laura's daughter Victory came to pick us up in the pick up truck and saved us! Couldn't of been nicer. BTW do you need to follow Victory on her Instagram. She's a mermaid/fencer/equestrian/pirate/leatherworker/All-around awesome and unique person. @Mermaidvalnora. The store has an amazing selection of bike accessories and an area to try out different bikes and ride them around indoors. Would highly recommend for bike rental, accessory, or bike purchase. read more

My husband and I needed a part for our pull behind bike trailer. We were told to go to cross country cycle because they were a dealer for this company. My husband went in to inquire about the part and order an infant sling. They sent him home with one for a burley (not the bike trailer we have) telling him it would work-it didn't. They also said they would be ordering the other part for us. He called a couple weeks later to check on the status of the part-they had made no progress. A couple more weeks go by and I go in to return the burley infant sling and check on the part status. Still no progress! That was a month ago now. I called a couple days ago and they still had made no progress to get the part for us. I'm giving up and ordering it directly through the company. I gave them two stars because they did have an extra hitch for the bike trailer in the store that I did buy. read more

I was interested in doing a 150-mile bike trip that started in Holland. Bringing my own bike from California was going to be expensive, so I called these folks to see if they could help. It turned out they were fantastic. Not only did they rent me just the bike I needed for a reasonable price ($15/day), but they added a rack and toe clips for free, and gave me a free day's rental to boot. I rode the bike half-way across Michigan without a problem, and they even let me drop it off after hours. Highly recommended! I'm already planning my next trip, and I'll definitely use Cross Country Cycle again. read more

I have been using them for several years, always go out of their way to assist and technical needs right away if they can. I enjoy shops that have the "let's see if we can look at this first" before slapping you into a long queue. When you spend a lot on your bikes, very nice to have this service to keep going. Will always remain a customer! read more

The gear cable broke on my bike and a friend recommended Cross Country Cycle. I'm so glad I took my bike there because they had it all fixed up the next day! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I will definitely go there for any bicycle needs in the future. read more

Purchased a road bike from another bike shop a while ago - after riding for over a year things just didn't feel right. Brian spend between 2 to 3 hours with me - collecting measurements, checking flexibility, pelvis instability, leg length difference, etc...I now have a road bike that I will feel comfortable riding. Brian and Laura are awesome people and truly care about every individuals riding experience. Thank you so much. read more

What a fun bicycle shop! It's a great place to get advice on all things bike-related. We appreciated Nate's patience as he explained fat tire bike concepts to us and gave us recommendations on places to ride. Solid, cost effective and timely service on our fat tire and road bikes too. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful also. This bike shop will continue to have our business! read more

I drove two hours each way to buy a bike at Cross Country Cycle (It was a model not readily available near my home.) Laura made sure that everything was ready for me upon my arrival. I had submitted a fit sheet from a previous fitting session, and the bike was set up perfectly. The sales and delivery experience was perfect, and after sale support and communication has been outstanding. I am a bike nut, always looking for the next bike to add. This purchase experience stands out among many as one of the very best. read more

This place is top notch. Personally this is the best bike store I have ever visited anywhere in the country. We came to Holland on vacation and were in the market for a bike trailer. We went to another store first and we were disappointed by their limited selection and the unhelpfulness of the staff, so Cross Country Cycle was a breath of fresh air. Cross Country Cycle had an absolutely huge selection of bike trailers and very knowledgeable staff who appear to be genuinely concerned about the quality of the products and services that they offer to the public. They also had loads and loads of bikes, even though we weren't looking for a bike this time. When I was checking out I overheard one of the service techs telling a woman that she didn't actually need the deluxe level tune-up for her bike and that the standard tune-up would be fine because her wheels looked pretty true already. He saved her $20. Since when do service techs give their honest opinions instead of upselling unneeded services? The people at Cross Country Cycle have integrity and quality products and we will continue to support them every time we return to this area. read more

Best bike shop in town, great service, wonderful staff that KNOW what they are talking about. They were recommended by 2 friends that log 100+ miles a week. So they seem to be able to make the serious cycler happy along with the occasional recreational cycler like me! read more

Huge selection of bikes.. we bought a jogger stroller and a burley jogger in addition to my 2 yr olds bike.. quality stuff!! Very happy with service and the knowledge when it came to fitting my son for a helmet. Will go back again in the future read more

Have had several experiences with Cross Country Cycle and keep returning for obvious reasons...the staff, their knowledge, their passion for cycling, their concern for the customer and an awesome product selection. Most recently I was having trouble with the braking system on my MTB. The staff interfaced with the bike manufacturer as well as the brake parts manufacturers and fully resolved my issues...and in such a timely fashion that the bike was ready before my next scheduled ride. Before you go anywhere else, visit Cross Country first. It will become the "Go To" shop for all of your cycling needs!! read more
