Cross Country Cycle is one of the last places in the world where you can get this kind of service…read more the moment I walked in and met the owner, she asked if she could put her hands on my shoulders. She took one look at me and said, that's gotta hurt. She looked at my current set up, and caught something I had never thought of in my entire life. Having a stem that is very short, so you have a very short reach, raised at a severe angle, which gives you much better rise, so you can sit almost riding up or leaning back backwards, which is virtually impossible on a road bike. She somehow figured out a way to do it. The items she had in stock blew me away. I was so amazed; I've never seen anyone so good at fitting. The system she uses is excellent and it's not just the system, because most guys that I know who have done fittings have been done by another guy. She just had a special touch, above and beyond using the electronics in the dots. It was so amazing. I can't even begin to tell you.

Mason took both bikes to the back and had them both fixed within 15 minutes. While I knew they didn't need major work, I expected to leave the bikes with them until they could find time to look at them. Both bikes needed the cable tension tightened and air in the tires. While being a minor fix, Mason took care of me just like I was one of their biggest customers. We aren't the most avid bikers but GRBC has earned our business going forward.

Central District does such a nice job! And such genuinely happy people too! They used to be located downtown on Monroe Center which was (not gonna lie) way more convenient for me. However, now they have a nice private parking lot / yard, which is a bonus when your bike is not rideable! Their repair services are generally same-day or next-day, but with a long enough wait gap that I wouldn't want to stick around or grab something to eat while waiting. They also sell new bikes and biking products, including snazzy helmets like my lime green skater helmet! I also recommend replying to their "rate us" email (comes as part of your receipt if you pay with a card), as it got me a non-expiring coupon for future visits!

Absolutely fantastic experience!…read more I hadn't even heard of Switchback before until a coworker recommended it to me, and they've already made a return customer out of me. My usual bike shop was quoting 6 weeks out for a tuneup, but Switchback was able to get to me in 3 weeks, and boasted a 24-hour turnaround once they had the bike. Sure enough, I dropped my bike off on Wednesday afternoon and got a text on Thursday afternoon saying that my bike was ready. Everyone in the shop was friendly and professional, and I felt like the price was very fair for the service provided. I felt listened to when I was describing the issues with my bike, and I'm happy to report that every single concern I had been resolved by the time I picked it back up. To top it all off, I took a test ride when I got home, and I don't think I've had a ride that smooth since I first bought the bike. The gear shifts were buttery smooth, there was no squeaking or rattling from the chain, and my brakes were firm and responsive. Needless to say, I've found a new usual bike shop. Thanks, Switchback!
