They did a great job, did it on time, and were reasonably priced. I would recommend them for your drive way, patio or any other concrete needs. They made great suggestions, even though it meant spending less. We had them do our very long drive way, patio, walkway, along with drains for the paved areas. I'm very pleased with the driveway and the work the crew did. It's been a year and it still looks great with some minor cracks which is expected in Houston. What I did not like was the way Clayton communicated during the project. He was very unprofessional and did not really communicate well until it was time to get paid, at which point he became very unpleasant. He submitted the permit paperwork before we even had a solid agreement and was calling me for payment on that before I'd decided on which company to use. On the first day of work, he was very agitated when I suggested giving the check to one of his crew. His text was clear that I was not to do that. The work was clearly not finished (which he admitted in text as his crew was still coming over) yet he was demanding payment and blew up my phone, text, and email. It's a shame as it was an otherwise pleasant experience and I'm happy with the driveway but really anybody can hire a crew to do that and I'd recommend going with one with better customer service skills. read more

While the initial look of the product Cross Construction produced was nice, working with Clayton was not a great experience and the concrete has a huge crack in it 2 months after they poured it. Clayton was less than precise with his initial quote measurement of the area we wanted poured, so when we made a very small adjustment to our outlined area before pouring, we suddenly owed 1500 more than we had discussed initially. read more

Had new driveway installed in Houston 5/2014. It is now "crumbling" at the street end. This is not the cracking that is expected from movement. It is literally falling apart in chunks. I do not recommend Cross Construction for driveway replacement. Look elsewhere. read more

I tried contacting Cross Construction for a project and they were not responsive to me at all. The employee kept giving me the run around for a date to come out and complete the project. All I wanted was a sidewalk completed, a day's worth of work and they wouldn't even give me a response if they could do it. I contacted them multiple times and received no response. A simple yes or no would have been enough. I will not recommend this company to anyone. read more

The contractor poured the slab during rainy conditions after I told him not to. As a result there are several areas where the slab is now fractured only 1 year after the new driveway was poured. There are also several areas that did not cure properly and you can see dark streaks in the concrete. Their workers also broke a pipe outside the patio area and they repaired it incorrectly resulting in a leak underneath the concrete every time I use the kitchen sink. As a result, I had to hire a plumber to saw an 2 x 2 area outside and fix pipe correctly and re-pour slab in that area. Now you can see the patch because the two concrete are different colors. There is an area in the approach of the driveway that also completely cracked off. There is an area in the driveway that does not drain properly and water accumulates after a heavy rain. I called Clayton Moore, the owner, about the pipe issue, hoping that he would pay a visit so I can discuss the other issues, but he refused to stand by his work and had an aggressive attitude towards me. I don't recommend using this contractor. read more

Extremely satisfied with Clayton's company and more importantly - my spectacular new driveway. Clayton was able to start on my driveway right away and the overall duration was a mere day and a half. Of the three companies I had contacted for my scope of work, he came in with the most reasonable pricing. He has a wealth of knowledge in the industry and was able to assist in my decision making process for a separate walkway and trash can pad.
