They have an internet adress booking went smothly. Check in too. The staff is nice and when you…read morehave any problem they are happy to help you. The price is nice and as you can see on the website the rooms are nice but small too. breakfast starts early with an vegetarian version and a normal english breakfast version. However when we arrived the furniture was not in their best state in fact one was brocken. which is why I give one star less. The staff is friendly and for that price you cant complain. For someone who just wants a sleepover without many expectations it is perfect.

Oh dear. If it was possible to give a place NEGATIVE stars, this would be the place. Seriously, I…read morespent one of the worst nights of my life in this hotel. This place looked quite nice when I saw it online. It was affordable and just a 15-minute train ride from the airport. The website was very misleading! This was the seediest place I have ever set foot in! I was just appalled. It was absolutely filthy and the clientele was horrifying. There were several people in the lounge and at the desk, and I was the only female. The men standing in the lobby were staring at me and speaking to each other in God knows what language while staring me down. No one was even remotely friendly. The door to my room was very thin with one flimsy lock, the phone didn't work and the internet was down. I heard several fights in neighboring rooms and in the halls throughout the night and I was genuinely fearful of my safety. I arrived at the hotel around 6 pm and was hoping to get a good nights sleep before my flight back to the States the next morning, which was scheduled for 10:00. Not to happen. I heard a man screaming at a crying woman at one point...I heard someone being chased down the hall and beaten up...and some people down the hall were having very loud, energetic sex to Motown Philly at top volume. Sleeping was not an option. Also, there was no clock in the room, therefore no alarm. I asked for a wake up call, but didn't exactly trust the management. I was so terrified, I felt like Tom Hanks in Big, all curled up on the bed and crying for my mom. I knew trains started running to Heathrow around 5:00, and I wanted out of there as soon as possible. With all the noise, no alarm and a fear of being murdered in the night, I didn't sleep a wink; I stayed up all night watching bad TV and counting the minutes until 5 am. I was at the station at 4:50, and I've never been so happy to see a train in my life! I very happily spent an extra 5 hours at the airport!

Southall

Never Judge a Book by it's Cover…read more Never has a statement been soo true. I would never have walked into this pub. If I had walked in, one look at the football flags on the ceiling, the dirty dated decor, dodgy loud electro music and the clientele would make me turn right around and run away. All over the walls are an eclectic mix of female film idols, drink advertisements for beverages they don't even offer and general tat all look odd and out of the place. The walls are painted in rich colours and trendy wallpaper completely juxterposed the original - old man pub - carpet. Inside there menus describe themselves as a 'shot bar and restaurant' with a picture of a flaming glass. This is possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen, as apart from the Blue Neon lights installed above the bar, this is so far from the image they really project. When I was there it appeared two 14 year old boys were manning the bar. One, clearly experienced, the other who - while polite, couldn't serve alcohol for some reason. They sell wine in mini bottles and if it doesn't come out of a gun, they don't sell it. Also in that night was Southall's biker society. Why am I here you ask? Apart from having little choice in the matter (demanding ex) I was told the curry was great. In fact I was told that the previous owners of what was The Glassy Junction by Southall Station were now set up here. So, we order the food. The Menu had a great variety and was very very reasonably priced for the area. Lots of veggie options clearly displayed under 'non meat'. The barman who was new had no clue how to use the till to order food and so the farce continued. It may have taken half an hour for him to take our money and another 50 mins for our food to come out. However - (big however) when the food came out, it was pretty amazing. Moorish and full of flavor. Generous portions, cheap prices and absolutely beautiful grub. The veggie curry was so yummy and the Dhal was the best I've ever had. Smooth and creamy in texture. The Baji's were not grease, but perfectly cooked and seasoned. The entire experience was so awful and surprising at the same time. I'm torn. Do I give one star or 5? One star for just how awful the place really is, or 5 for the hilarity and beautiful food?
