Sunny was not there on our arrival, but we were warmly greeted by Vishal, who was great in explaining the hotel amenities and the neighborhood options to us. He also carried my luggage upstairs. Our breakfast was prepared for us personally at the time we wanted to eat, so we were able to get on our way each day. There was a menu of options which included a full English breakfast. There were cold choices of pastries, yogurts, fruits, cereals, and milk. Beverages included orange juice, milk, tea, and coffee. Shan, Vishal and Josh tended to all our needs over the weekend we spent there. We traveled by tube, and as Sunny recommended, we both bought Oyster passes which discounted our travels. At the end of our trip we were able to have the remaining balance on our cards refunded at Heathrow. The walk from the tube is short. You leave the tube station and go left. You will cross a little side street and the Crompton Guest House will be the second walkway. It would be a great spot for a business traveler who needs to get out on an early morning flight as Heathrow is only 15 minutes or so on the tube. If you have rented a car or if you live in England and are flying out from Heathrow, it could not be more convenient than to spend a night before traveling as they offer free parking for a specified number of days. We used the tube to go to the airport but they do offer transportation. As we did not use it, I cannot remember what the fee is. Our room had a twin and a double bed, both with reading lights, and both very comfortable. We both slept well and found the room to be very quiet. There were two night tables, a desk and chair, a flat screen tv, and a small refrigerator. There were plenty of mirrors in the room and chandeliers throughout the guest house. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination. Large dispenser bottles of hand soap and lotion were by the sink and in the tub was bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Everything is monitored by CCTV and lights have motion detectors so you are never wandering in the darkness. We felt very safe staying there. I would recommend Crompton Guest House to friends and family. It was a nice place to stay. Service was extremely good and the staff were very focused on ensuring that guests had an enjoyable stay.

The breakfast was really nice and the room very clean! I was even given a charger adaptor since I only had the US type with me! Very polite management and staff! It's literally on your right hand as you exit Hounslow Central station so it really makes it a plus for layovers between trips! Free WiFi and full English breakfast!

Never Judge a Book by it's Cover…read more Never has a statement been soo true. I would never have walked into this pub. If I had walked in, one look at the football flags on the ceiling, the dirty dated decor, dodgy loud electro music and the clientele would make me turn right around and run away. All over the walls are an eclectic mix of female film idols, drink advertisements for beverages they don't even offer and general tat all look odd and out of the place. The walls are painted in rich colours and trendy wallpaper completely juxterposed the original - old man pub - carpet. Inside there menus describe themselves as a 'shot bar and restaurant' with a picture of a flaming glass. This is possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen, as apart from the Blue Neon lights installed above the bar, this is so far from the image they really project. When I was there it appeared two 14 year old boys were manning the bar. One, clearly experienced, the other who - while polite, couldn't serve alcohol for some reason. They sell wine in mini bottles and if it doesn't come out of a gun, they don't sell it. Also in that night was Southall's biker society. Why am I here you ask? Apart from having little choice in the matter (demanding ex) I was told the curry was great. In fact I was told that the previous owners of what was The Glassy Junction by Southall Station were now set up here. So, we order the food. The Menu had a great variety and was very very reasonably priced for the area. Lots of veggie options clearly displayed under 'non meat'. The barman who was new had no clue how to use the till to order food and so the farce continued. It may have taken half an hour for him to take our money and another 50 mins for our food to come out. However - (big however) when the food came out, it was pretty amazing. Moorish and full of flavor. Generous portions, cheap prices and absolutely beautiful grub. The veggie curry was so yummy and the Dhal was the best I've ever had. Smooth and creamy in texture. The Baji's were not grease, but perfectly cooked and seasoned. The entire experience was so awful and surprising at the same time. I'm torn. Do I give one star or 5? One star for just how awful the place really is, or 5 for the hilarity and beautiful food?
