My two little devils require lots of treats, healthy snacks with two or three ingredients that I can pronounce as well as chew toys and outdoor gear as the seasons change. The drive is always worth it, the service is beyond good, getting a free pup cup around the birthdays is really fun too, the staff care and it shows. Any bird seed I've bought from here was always of high quality. No little bugs or shriveled up peanuts from here. We have been getting our dry cat food from here now exclusively. PetCo couldn't compete in price for the quality we are getting here. We figure that by buying better cat food we save on not having to take our cats to the vet for problems so the better food here saves us money in the long run. Try even finding a dry cat food at PetCo with no grain in it. One would think that since cats never eat grain in the wild it should be easy to find a grain free cat food, but that is where Jay Mar comes to the rescue. They also have some cat hair ball gel with catnip in it that our long haired cat loves. Any of the other hairball gel the cat hated and would only eat it if you rubbed it on her paw. I went through this rambling about our cats to show that if it's your cat, dog, lawn, garden, or birds that your trying to find just the right thing for, then try here. The workers are very knowledgeable and helpful too, yet they are very respectful to just let you just look around without being pestering if that is what you want.

What a fun store. While the Central Wisconsin Country Store carries the typical pet food and toys,…read morethey also have cute lawn and garden items and even some animals. The day I was there they had a couple of adoptable cats from a nearby pet shelter and some baby chickens. I couldn't decide which was cuter. Surprisingly, if you come here expecting to see the usual grocery-store brands of pet food, you might be pleasantly surprised to see they also carry some of the natural or organic brands as well. This is truly a farm store at heart, catering to the community with its range of goods. Besides food for birds, squirrels, ducks, cats, dogs, and fish, they also have food for horses. Outside a specialty store, CWCStore had a really large selection of bird feeders, but only one that was squirrel-proof. That's surprising considering most back yard bird feeder owners typically have to deal with the squirrel population looking for an easy lunch. Overall, this is a nice store and I wish it wasn't so far away from me because I'd enjoy visiting more often.
