    I've had a contract (their Premium 365 service) with Reliant Termite & Pest Control since March…read more2021 and so far they've always been prompt, professional, proactive in scheduling each quarterly service call and I've not had a single complaint. Until.... I was supposed to have a quarterly service back in late February but I never heard from them, which was odd as they've always been proactive, so I called them (2-26). It went to VM but I couldn't leave a VM because their mailbox was full. The few times I needed to call them for something that never happened so this was a first. Since then I've called eight times (I have the call long on my phone as proof) and their VM is full and it disconnects. Which begs the question: Is this company still in business??? Side note: Their Crowley office is a little over a mile from where I live so it's no big deal to drive by while I'm out running errands, which I did a couple weeks ago. This was around 10:30 AM or thereabout and there were two company trucks parked in front of the building and the office door was locked. Having never been to their office before I don't know if this is normal but when you take into account that phone calls go to VM which is full, it does make you wonder if they are still in business.

I sold my home and moved to an area that Alamo does not service. Every representative who contacted me about my cancellation asked why I was leaving, and every time I gave the same answer: I no longer own the home where service was being provided. The problem wasn't the monthly charge--it was the cancellation process and customer service. I was told that I would still be charged for June because my cancellation request was recorded on May 12, even though I recall contacting the company earlier. Regardless, I don't understand why it takes weeks to process a cancellation. There appears to be no clear paper trail or straightforward process for cancelling service. Customers have to speak with a representative, but there is no immediate written confirmation and no transparency around when the cancellation actually becomes effective. It feels like the company decides the cancellation date rather than the customer. What was most disappointing was being told that my contract from 2017 wasn't set to renew until September and that the representative was "graciously" canceling it early. After nearly a decade as a loyal customer, I expected appreciation and professionalism, not the feeling that I was being done a favor. To make matters worse, I was told I would receive an email confirming my cancellation, but instead I received an email asking me to submit a written cancellation request. If written notice was required, why was I instructed to call and speak with multiple representatives in the first place? Alamo's pest control service itself was generally fine. My issue is with the lack of transparency, inconsistent communication, and poor treatment of a long-term customer during the cancellation process. The company should do better.
