Recent photo of menu with prices taken today February 24, 2021. Also they closed on Sunday. Really good gizzards.
Tam H.

Only thing I get from here is the chicken gizzards. Spicy and regular (for my kids) and they are always good. The special sauce they sell additional on the side for like $35 cents a container is also good. And cheap for that price because you have to understand. Containers and lids are not free.

$6.49 Lunch special.

This is a very small chicken and catfish spot. It's so small that it's drive through and walk up window only. There is no inside dining area at all. It's located right next to a Tiny Bubbles laundromat. If you love tender, flaky, well seasoned catfish I wouldn't recommend Crispy's. I ordered the $6.49 lunch special because it comes with fried catfish filet, chicken tender, seasoned fries, a roll and a drink. The draw for me was the catfish. And that was the least favorable part of the meal. I'm not a French fry person but they season theirs and they were hot, crispy and tasty. Also, I don't love chicken, it's just okay to me but the tenders were okay. Not seasoned at all, just battered and crunchy from being fried hard. It's served with a basic store bought dinner roll. The fish is fried crunchy hard with a frail sliver of catfish lost inside that hard coating. If it's really catfish. Oddly, they have sweet tea here but no unsweetened tea.

Never going back here. Had the fish it was okay..went today for chicken. Didn't look NOTHING like the picture! They fried without any batter! Not even full wing for the price they charge! Never again!! ugh!

Gizzards !!!

It really is crispy and great chicken !! I loved this place specifically because it had gizzards. Definite game changer if they sold liver as well. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and super juicy once you peeled into it. I got the "6" order of gizzards and it was obviously a lot more than 6 pieces lol. I can't imagine how long a full order would've taken me to finish. I was hesitant to try the spicy flavor for the gizzards but next time for sure. I wish they had a spicy option for the fried chicken though. The food was SO good, I'd come back for sure to try some of the other stuff they have to offer !!

Unfortunately the shrimp was not good at all. Spent $15 and couldn't eat them. Tasted one and there was no seasoning and crust did not taste well and was laid on too thick. Maybe try something else in the menu.

Crispy tenders that hit the deep fried southern spot. Liked the spicy tenders more than the mild ones.

I ordered the lunch special online, since I did not want to commit to ordering an entire chicken…read morefor dinner. The lunch special comes with your choice of chicken, a drink, and fries or rice. It said it would be ready in 20 minutes and when I arrived (15-20 minutes after I placed the order) it was ready. Let me start off by saying it was good. The chicken was crispy and tasted just like a usual soy garlic Korean fried chicken (KFC). If I never had KFC before, I would have thought this is the best KFC of my life. Also, there is a little kick at the end. It is a bit spicy, but not enough to make your mouth burn. I have never been to Korea, but have eaten KFC in many major US cities. With that being said, there is better KFC in the DFW area. When I mean "better", I mean more flavorful, crispier, etc. The fries that were well seasoned were great, but for the fries that didn't have much seasoning, it was bland. The fries were unevenly seasoned, with some having just the right amount and other lacking. Overall, it was good, but I won't visit again unless I am in the area.

They have several chicken flavors, we ordered the hot pepper half chicken. It was SOOOOO GOOD! The pieces were all crispy, the batter was flavorful, and just the right level of spiciness (more medium to lo-high spice level). It is a bit pricey at about 30 per chicken, with no sides, but it was worth the satisfaction of eating such rich-flavored chicken. We took them home & enjoyed them with steamed rice at home. Staff was friendly & order came out fresh in less than 10 minutes.

I had been DYING to come try this spot out after all the rave reviews, and I am GLAD I did. We…read moredecided to come prior to a concert we were going to at the AT&T Stadium. I have to stay this beat any stadium food you could've gotten out the water, and the value emphasizes that! We got so much food for the price point, and it was all good! I personally got the chicken and pickle on a stick, and the dough babies which is a glazed donut / roll hybrid that is so delicious and warm, the glaze is very vanilla forward. Krispy Kreme has nothing on these. The chicken on a stick was good, however, the flavor was a bit too sweet for me, so I would get the powdered Nashville hot seasoning on it next time, but it was so delicious and came with some really good ranch that taste like it's made in house (which obviously makes it better!). My mom who I was dining with got the quarter pound chicken plate, and I much preferred the seasoning on this chicken, but it was all very yummy. It also came with a roll, two sauces, and tons of fresh cut fries, so if you're looking for some of those you don't have to wait for the fair just come to Mary Sue's! The young lady working the register was very sweet, when we ordered our beverages I wanted to get a watermelon, Arnold Palmer, and she was happy to oblige, and the drinks even had fresh fruit in the bottom super refreshing to pair with the meal. There's an array of different hot sauces. You can try to pair with your food, at a hot sauce, bar and some of them are HOT, so proceed with caution, but it's fun to be able to have a variety of choices. They weren't slammed when we came in, we were able to order easily, and there was a steady trickle of people dining within the place, yet the tables were regularly open, and being cleaned as able. They really play into the location, and had some music playing relevant to the concert we were going to which was a nice little pregame! As we were dining, the co-owner was even making rounds throughout the lobby and chatting with patrons, we talked to him for a bit, and there's so much passion behind the business that it's hard not to just feel joy being in his presence and having a meal. I'm wishing continued success to the establishment, and know this is the place I have in mind next time I'm in the area. Be sure to check the hours on Google, just to make sure you're able to go enjoy it when you're ready, because the ones on the door don't align. There's also ample parking so you don't need to worry about that, and the lot doubles as paid parking for events.

I'm definitely going back!

It's always packed, so I figured it had to be worth trying, and it definitely was! The restaurant is located in a great shopping plaza with an Asian market, boba shops, bakeries, and other stores, making it a fun area to explore before or after your meal. We were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant had a fun, energetic atmosphere with great music playing, making it the perfect spot for a girls' night. We started with a few appetizers: garlic noodles, Kickin Wings, and raw oysters. I didn't personally try the oysters, but my friend really enjoyed them. The Kickin Wings were my favorite appetizer! They were hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. The garlic noodles were just okay in my opinion, but the shrimp added to them was delicious. For our seafood boils, we ordered the Special Combo, which included 1/2 lb head-off shrimp, 1/2 lb snow crab, one potato, and sausage for $34.99, with the option to add more items for an additional charge. The seafood was fresh, well-seasoned, and flavorful. My only minor complaint was that the boil bag felt a little small, making it a bit difficult to really dig in and mix everything together the way I like. Overall, we had a great experience! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was lively, and it was the perfect place to catch up with friends over seafood. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving a seafood boil. Would definitely recommend!
