Crispy Cones is a sweet treat! BYU Idaho students are lucky to have this gem in their backyard! Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran knew what a great dessert this was when she invested in 2023! I went into the Rexburg location with a friend on a weeknight for a couple cones of ice cream. We settled on the monthly special, mint, plus a traditional chocolate. With chocolate, we got a traditional cone with Nutella filling and strawberries to top it off. With mint, we opted for a traditional cone without filling, and definitely splurged on Oreos topping. No doubt, this is a great spot for a casual date night or a catch up with a bestie. The atmosphere is super chill, and the staff is super friendly. Although you order from a kiosk, the staff will check in with you to make sure you understand everything. In my experience, our orders came out within five minutes and they were made to perfection. The cones are pretty good, but we waited an hour for two cones. There were people standing or sitting on the floor because there weren't enough chairs. There was a lot of frustration with the wait, and we saw someone whose order was missing a topping - they opted not to say anything about it because they were frustrated with the wait. I like supporting a local business and I like the weekly flavors. First time I tried crispy cones was when they were still out of a truck. We go back about once or twice a year, usually when we have friends in town asking for a dessert recommendation. They're a little too pricey to go back more than that, and that's the only reason I take off a star- I don't feel like I get my money's worth. My first review was written when this place was in a trailer and they had a much larger serving for a much lower price. I have to honestly say, I have been to the new location three times and every time I am shocked by how small the cone is now. It is a very tasty dessert but not a good value at all. This place started as a tent next to Dairy Queen and they were awesome. Then they opened their trailer and they were even more awesome. Now they must be paying insane overhead by getting and actual storefront because the prices are just unreasonable ~$8 and literally it is half what it was before. First time here. We loved the options. The seasonal flavor was lemonade. You pick your ice cream flavor, cone and toppings. They will put ice cream inside and stuff the middle with the toppings. Then they sprinkle the toppings on top and drizzle the syrup of your choice on top. We all loved our options and ate it all. We definitely will come back. read more

Super yummy, unique ice cream concept! The only thing that threw me off was that the cones were soft, not crispy. Which I wouldn't have thought that I would like, BUT they were amazing! My Rexburg friends brought me here, and they love it. I about passed out to see the only option for ice cream was an 8. cone. I think I may have been forced to leave a tip on the self checkout which is strange since I had no contact with my employee other than handing me my food. The "cone" is sort of a cinnamon roll. Delicious and unique! I was under the impression that it was ice cream in a churro cone but it's filled with Nutella and whipped cream. I was honestly a little disappointed that there was no ice cream. You can substitute the whip cream filling with bananas, Oreos, or strawberries. I chose Oreo because I'm a chocoholic. Awesome dessert idea. Basically a churro, but spiraled into a cone/cup, where you can fill it with ice cream/fruit, etc. If you want to go when all options are available, go as soon as it opens. First time: we waited about 30min for one crispy cone that I shared with my husband (there were about 20ppl). They had run out of many options, so we filled it with strawberries, cookie butter and whipped cream. Second time: decided to go the day before graduation after dinner. Absolute mistake. Do not get to this place after 7pm. So many toppings/ingredients had run out again. We have stayed, until we overheard a lady ask the cashier how backed up they are, and the worker said "20 comes". NOPE. There were about 50ppl!! So of course we left, and headed over to another sesser Anyways, being able to eat one our first time, it is really goody. Just need to get there SUPER EARLY. My husband and I come here regularly for our date nights and we love it! I would honestly be giving this rating 5 stars if the quality was consistent. Here's why it's 4 stars: The good: 1. First off, this idea is genius. I will never again want to buy an ice cream cone from Coldstone or anywhere else. Who could pass up a warm, Nutella filled, sugar-coated cone with delicious soft serve? 2. I am SO happy someone has finally decided to put toppings in the middle of the cone AND on top! Toppings are my favorite part of quality ice cream. The bad: 1. Depending on the day, the cones will be served hard and cold. I know this usually depends on how busy they are and if they need to make a fresh one, but I wish there was a way to keep the cones warm long after making them. 2. We have also noticed a lack of consistency in the amount of spread we get depending on who is working that day. One time we couldn't even see the Nutella spread on the inside of the cone. It was pretty disappointing, especially since they had already run out of our go-to ice cream and toppings. 3. They need to restock more often! I swear 80-90% of the times we have come here, at least one of our favorite flavor ice cream or topping is crossed out on the menu. It makes the experience slightly disappointing.
