Employees.... few are native english speaking and most of the front line cannot speak english well enough to be working the drive through or taking inside orders. This has been the situation for years. However go down the street to another McDonald's in town and no such problem. In fact no other McDonald's in town have we had this problem. Problem? Yes, when they don't get the order right, you can't understand them, you repeat, they repeat, and it just becomes frustrating.. As a result when in a hurry often we just travel to other location further from our h ome or another chain all together. At lunch the other day visiting with friends found we were NOT the only family that find the instant use of drink carriers awkward and time consuming. All multi drinks are handed to the customer in drive thru in a drink carrier. This is faster for the employees but not for the customer. When you are driving alone what do you do with th drink carrier. It is not solid enough to sit on the floor or seat without spilling. If someone is with you they are immediately unloading the carrier and handing the drinks to other in the car and the carrier is immediately placed in the trash. It's only use is if you are with someone who can hold the carrier and you plan to take you meal/drinks inside at another location...and for us and most of friends that is seldom. Until recently we saw them stacked in the trash cans right at the location. I write until recently because there are no available trash cans for drive thur customers to use. Previously (for years) there have been several trash cans available in the lane leading up to the order voice box. This allowed customer to prepare their cars for the upcoming order they are about to place. These trash cans were all moved so that you can only use them if you pull into the parking lot, park your car, and get out of your car to use. Until this week there was still a trach can right after you picked up your order. So we and we now find all our friends would gather their drink cups (and other prior McD purchases trash), hold and after we got our order dump the cups/trash into the trash can. Now that trash can has been removed and place so that one would have to drive back through the parking lot, park, get out of your car to use. Perhaps this is one less task for the employees. The green trash dumpster has never been observed over flowing so I don't think that was the problem. No matter .... it is a hassle and inconvience for the customer. This McD's went from doing it right to creating a hassle. Yes, had it always been that way would I be complaining. Perhaps not. But I think the point is customer service. When you have been doing it right and decide not to for what appears to be only to the convience of the employees ... well expect negative feedback. We have mentioned all these matter to the management previously. FAst food chains are successful because they are suppose to be quick, easy, hassle free.... this location needs to review their goals and objectives...We will be spending less of our cash at this location and recommending the same to our friends. There are lots of choices in this area.
